Ang Kabutihan ni Yahweh sa Israel
106 Purihin(A) si Yahweh!
Pasalamatan siya sa kanyang kabutihan!
Pag-ibig niya'y tunay, laging tapat kailanman.
2 Sinong mangangahas upang magpahayag na siya'y dakila?
Sino ang pupuri at magpapahayag ng kanyang ginawa?
3 At dapat magalak ang sinumang tao na makatarungan,
na gawang matuwid ang adhika sa buo niyang buhay.
4 Tulungan mo ako, kapag ang bayan mo'y iyong nagunita,
sa pagliligtas mo, ang abâ mong lingkod isama mo sana;
5 upang makita ko ang pag-unlad nila na iyong hinirang,
kasama ng iyong bansang nagagalak, ako'y magdiriwang.
6 Nagkasala kami, tulad ng ginawa ng aming magulang,
ang aming ginawa'y tunay na di tama, pawang kasamaan.
7 Ang(B) magulang namin nang nasa Egipto, di nagpahalaga sa kahanga-hangang mga ginawa mong kanilang nakita;
ni hindi pinansin ang iyong pag-ibig na walang kagaya,
bagkus ang ginawa sa Dagat na Pula'y[a] nilabanan ka pa.
8 Sa kabila nito, gaya ng pangako, sila'y iniligtas,
upang ipadama na ang Panginoo'y dakila't malakas.
9 Nang(C) siya'y mag-utos, ang Dagat na Pula[b] ay natuyong bigla,
sila'y itinawid na ang dinaanan ay tuyo nang lupa.
10 Sila'y iniligtas sa pagpapahirap ng mga kaaway,
iniligtas sila sa kapangyariha't lakas ng kalaban.
11 Yaong nagsihabol, pawang nangalunod sa gitna ng dagat,
lahat sa kanila'y nilulon ng tubig, walang nakaligtas.
12 Nang(D) ito'y nakita, niyong mga lingkod mo na bayang hinirang,
sila'y naniwala sa iyong pangako at nagpuring tunay.
13 Parang ningas-kugon, ang lahat ng ito'y kaagad nilimot,
sariling balangkas ang sinunod nila, hindi ang sa Diyos.
14 Habang(E) nasa ilang, ang sariling hilig ang siyang sinunod,
sa ilang na iyo'y kinalaban nila't sinubok ang Diyos.
15 Ang hiniling nila'y hindi itinanggi, kanilang nakamit,
ngunit pagkatapos, sila'y dinapuan ng malubhang sakit.
16 Sila(F) ay nagselos kay Moises habang nasa ilang,
at kay Aaron, ang banal na lingkod na si Yahweh ang humirang.
17 Sa ginawang ito, nagalit ang Diyos, bumuka ang lupa,
si Datan, Abiram, pati sambahaya'y natabunang bigla.
18 Sa kalagitnaan nila'y itong Diyos, lumikha ng sunog,
at ang masasamang kasamahan nila ay kanyang tinupok.
19 Sa(G) may Bundok ng Sinai,[c] doon ay naghugis niyong gintong guya,
matapos mahugis ang ginawa nila'y kanilang sinamba.
20 Ang dakilang Diyos ay ipinagpalit sa diyos na nilikha,
sa diyos na baka na ang kinakain ay damong sariwa.
21 Kanilang nilimot ang Diyos na si Yahweh, ang Tagapagligtas,
ang kanyang ginawa doon sa Egipto'y kagila-gilalas.
22 Sa lupaing iyon ang ginawa niya'y tunay na himala.
Sa Dagat na Pula[d] yaong nasaksihan ay kahanga-hanga.
23 Ang pasya ng Diyos sa ginawa nila'y lipulin pagdaka,
agad na dumulog kay Yahweh si Moises, namagitan siya,
at hindi natuloy iyong kapasyahan na lipulin sila.
24 Ang(H) lupang-pangarap na ipinangako'y kusang tinanggihan,
dahilan sa sila'y hindi naniwala sa pangakong tipan.
25 Sa loob ng tolda ay nagrereklamo at puro pa angal,
at hindi nila pinakinggan tinig ni Yahweh, Diyos na banal.
26 Sa ginawang iyon, nagalit ang Diyos, siya ay sumumpang
sila'y lilipulin, mamamatay sa gitna ng ilang.
27 Sila'y(I) ikakalat, dadalhin sa bansa niyong mga Hentil,
sa lugar na iyon, mamamatay sila sa pagkaalipin.
28 Sila'y(J) nakiisang sa Baal ng Beor ay doon sumamba,
ang mga pagkain na handog sa patay ang pagkain nila.
29 Sa inasal nila'y nagalit si Yahweh, naging pasya'y ito:
Dinalhan ng peste, pawang nagkamatay ang maraming tao.
30 Sa galit ni Finehas taong nagkasala ay kanyang pinatay,
kung kaya nahinto ang salot na iyon na nananalakay.
31 Magmula nga noon, at magpakailanman, di malilimutan
ang ginawang ito'y di na malilimot nitong kanyang bayan.
32 At(K) itong si Yahweh, kanilang ginalit sa Bukal Meriba,
nalagay sa gipit itong si Moises dahil sa kanila.
33 Sa ginawa nila ay lubhang nasaktan ang kanyang damdamin,
dahas ng salitang nagmula sa bibig ay hindi napigil.
34 Di(L) nila nilipol ang lahat ng taong naro'n sa Canaan,
bagama't ito'y iniutos ni Yahweh na dapat gampanan.
35 Sa halip na sundin ang utos ng Diyos, bagkus nakisama,
at maling gawain ng mga pagano ang sinunod nila.
36 Ang diyus-diyosan ang sinamba nila at pinaglingkuran,
sa ginawang ito, sila ang nagkamit ng kaparusahan.
37 Pati(M) anak nilang babae't lalaki'y inihaing lubos,
sa diyus-diyosan, mga batang ito ay ginawang handog.
38 Ang(N) pinatay nila'y mga batang musmos, batang walang malay
para ipanghandog sa diyus-diyosan ng lupang Canaan,
kaya't ang lupain sa ginawa nila'y pawang nadungisan.
39 Ang sarili nila yaong nadungisan sa gayong ginawa,
sa Diyos na si Yahweh sila ay nagtaksil at pawang sumamâ.
40 Kaya(O) naman muli, si Yahweh'y nagalit sa mga hinirang,
siya ay nagdamdam sa ginawa nilang pawang kataksilan.
41 Sa bansang kaaway itong bayan niya'y ipinaubaya,
sila ay nasakop at ang mga Hentil ay siyang namahala.
42 Inalipin sila at pinahirapan ng mga kaaway,
pinasuko sila't ipinailalim sa kapangyarihan.
43 Hindi na miminsan, marami nang beses iniligtas sila,
naghimagsik pa rin, kaya naman sila'y lalong nagkasala.
44 Gayunman, hindi rin tinitiis ng Diyos, kapag nananambitan,
dinirinig niya't sa taglay na hirap kinahahabagan.
45 Dinirinig sila at inaalaala kanyang kasunduan,
nahahabag siya dahilan sa wagas niyang pagmamahal.
46 Maging ang sumakop sa mga hinirang ay nangahabag din,
sapagkat si Yahweh ang siyang nag-utos na iyon ang gawin.
47 Iligtas(P) mo kami, O Yahweh, aming Diyos, Panginoon namin,
saanman naroon ang mga anak mo ay muling tipunin,
upang ang ngalan mo ay pasalamata't aming dakilain.
48 Purihin si Yahweh, ang Diyos ng Israel,
purihin siya, ngayon at magpakailanman!
Ang lahat ng tao ay magsabing, “Amen!”
Purihin si Yahweh!

106 Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? who can shew forth all his praise?
3 Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.
4 Remember me, O Lord, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation;
5 That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance.
6 We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
7 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea.
8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name's sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known.
9 He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness.
10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
11 And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left.
12 Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.
13 They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:
14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.
15 And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
16 They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the Lord.
17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan and covered the company of Abiram.
18 And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked.
19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image.
20 Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass.
21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
24 Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
25 But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the Lord.
26 Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness:
27 To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
28 They joined themselves also unto Baalpeor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.
30 Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed.
31 And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore.
32 They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes:
33 Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips.
34 They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the Lord commanded them:
35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works.
36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them.
37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,
38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.
39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.
40 Therefore was the wrath of the Lord kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance.
41 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them.
42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand.
43 Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.
44 Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry:
45 And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies.
46 He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives.
47 Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise.
48 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the Lord.

1 Lăudaţi-L pe Domnul!
Daţi mulţumire Domnului, căci este bun!
Îndurarea Lui ţine pe vecie![a]
2 Cine poate spune toate isprăvile Domnului?
Cine poate vesti toată lauda Sa?
3 Ferice de cei care păzesc ce este drept
şi care înfăptuiesc dreptatea tot timpul.
4 Adu-Ţi aminte de mine, Doamne, în bunăvoinţa Ta faţă de poporul Tău!
Apropie-Te de mine cu mântuirea Ta,
5 ca să văd bunăstarea aleşilor Tăi,
să mă bucur de bucuria poporului Tău
şi să Te laud împreună cu moştenirea Ta.
6 Noi am păcătuit ca şi strămoşii noştri,
am săvârşit nelegiuire, am făcut rău.
7 În timp ce erau în Egipt, strămoşii noştri
nu au luat aminte la minunile Tale;
nu au ţinut minte mulţimea îndurărilor Tale
şi s-au răzvrătit când au ajuns la mare, la Marea Roşie[b].
8 El i-a izbăvit din pricina Numelui Său,
ca să-Şi descopere puterea Sa.
9 A mustrat Marea Roşie şi aceasta s-a uscat;
apoi i-a condus prin adâncuri sterpe ca pustia.
10 I-a izbăvit din mâna celui ce-i ura
şi i-a răscumpărat din mâna duşmanului.
11 Apele i-au acoperit pe potrivnicii lor,
fără ca vreunul din ei să scape.
12 Atunci I-au crezut cuvintele
şi I-au cântat laudă.
13 Dar au uitat curând lucrările Lui;
ei nu I-au aşteptat sfatul.
14 Li s-au aprins poftele în pustie
şi L-au ispitit pe Dumnezeu în pustietăţi.
15 El le-a dat ce ceruseră,
dar a trimis o boală nimicitoare peste ei.
16 Unii din tabără au fost geloşi pe Moise
şi pe Aaron, cel sfinţit Domnului.
17 Pământul s-a deschis, l-a înghiţit pe Datan
şi a acoperit ceata lui Abiram.
18 Focul le-a consumat ceata;
flăcările i-au mistuit pe cei răi.
19 La Horeb şi-au făcut un viţel
şi s-au închinat chipului turnat.
20 Au schimbat Slava lor
cu chipul unui bou care mănâncă iarbă.
21 L-au uitat pe Dumnezeu, Izbăvitorul lor,
pe Cel Ce făcuse mari lucrări în Egipt,
22 pe Cel Ce înfăptuise minuni în ţara lui Ham
şi lucruri înfricoşătoare la Marea Roşie.
23 Astfel El a spus că o să-i nimicească,
însă Moise, alesul Său,
a stat în spărtură înaintea Lui,
ca să-I abată mânia de la nimicire.
24 Apoi au respins ţara cea plăcută;
ei nu au crezut în promisiunea Lui.
25 Au cârtit în corturile lor
şi nu au ascultat de glasul Domnului.
26 Atunci, El a jurat solemn
că îi va face să cadă în pustie,
27 că le va face urmaşii să cadă printre neamuri
şi-i va împrăştia printre popoare.
28 S-au alipit de Baal-Peor
şi au mâncat jertfe închinate morţilor[c].
29 L-au mâniat prin faptele lor,
astfel încât o urgie a izbucnit printre ei.
30 Dar s-a ridicat Fineas, a făcut judecată
şi urgia s-a oprit.
31 Lucrul acesta i-a fost socotit dreptate,
din generaţie în generaţie, pe vecie.
32 L-au mâniat pe Dumnezeu şi la apele Meriba,
iar din pricina lor i-a mers rău şi lui Moise.
33 Căci s-au răzvrătit împotriva Duhului Său,
iar Moise a vorbit necugetat cu buzele lui.[d]
34 Ei nu au nimicit popoarele
despre care le spusese Domnul,
35 ci s-au amestecat cu neamurile
şi s-au deprins cu faptele acestora.
36 Au slujit idolilor lor,
iar aceştia au devenit o cursă pentru ei.
37 Şi-au jertfit fiii şi fiicele
în cinstea demonilor.
38 Au vărsat sânge nevinovat,
sângele fiilor şi al fiicelor lor,
jertfindu-i idolilor din Canaan,
şi au spurcat ţara din pricina sângelui.
39 S-au întinat prin faptele lor,
s-au desfrânat prin lucrările lor.
40 Atunci s-a aprins mânia Domnului împotriva poporului Său
şi Şi-a urât moştenirea.
41 I-a dat pe mâna neamurilor
şi astfel cei ce îi urau au stăpânit peste ei.
42 Duşmanii lor i-au asuprit
şi au fost umiliţi sub mâna lor.
43 El i-a scăpat de multe ori,
dar ei se răzvrăteau prin planurile lor.
S-au nenorocit prin nelegiuirea lor.
44 El a privit la strâmtorarea lor
când le-a auzit strigătele.
45 Din pricina lor Şi-a adus aminte de legământul Lui.
I s-a făcut milă de ei din pricina marii Sale îndurări
46 şi a făcut ca aceştia să capete milă
din partea tuturor celor ce-i luaseră captivi.
47 Doamne, Dumnezeul nostru, izbăveşte-ne!
Strânge-ne dintre neamuri
ca să lăudăm Numele Tău cel sfânt
şi să ne fălim aducându-Ţi laudă.
48 Binecuvântat să fie Domnul, Dumnezeul lui Israel,
din veşnicie în veşnicie!
Tot poporul să zică: „Amin!“
Laudă Domnului!

2 Who can proclaim the mighty acts(E) of the Lord
or fully declare his praise?
3 Blessed are those who act justly,(F)
who always do what is right.(G)
4 Remember me,(H) Lord, when you show favor(I) to your people,
come to my aid(J) when you save them,
5 that I may enjoy the prosperity(K) of your chosen ones,(L)
that I may share in the joy(M) of your nation
and join your inheritance(N) in giving praise.
6 We have sinned,(O) even as our ancestors(P) did;
we have done wrong and acted wickedly.(Q)
7 When our ancestors were in Egypt,
they gave no thought(R) to your miracles;
they did not remember(S) your many kindnesses,
and they rebelled by the sea,(T) the Red Sea.[b]
8 Yet he saved them(U) for his name’s sake,(V)
to make his mighty power(W) known.
9 He rebuked(X) the Red Sea, and it dried up;(Y)
he led them through(Z) the depths as through a desert.
10 He saved them(AA) from the hand of the foe;(AB)
from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them.(AC)

not one of them survived.
12 Then they believed his promises
and sang his praise.(AE)

and did not wait for his plan to unfold.(AG)
14 In the desert(AH) they gave in to their craving;

15 So he gave them(AK) what they asked for,
but sent a wasting disease(AL) among them.
16 In the camp they grew envious(AM) of Moses
and of Aaron, who was consecrated to the Lord.

to keep his wrath from destroying them.

they did not believe(BB) his promise.
25 They grumbled(BC) in their tents
and did not obey the Lord.
26 So he swore(BD) to them with uplifted hand
that he would make them fall in the wilderness,(BE)
27 make their descendants fall among the nations
and scatter(BF) them throughout the lands.
28 They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor(BG)
and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods;
29 they aroused the Lord’s anger(BH) by their wicked deeds,(BI)
and a plague(BJ) broke out among them.
30 But Phinehas(BK) stood up and intervened,
and the plague was checked.(BL)
31 This was credited to him(BM) as righteousness
for endless generations(BN) to come.
32 By the waters of Meribah(BO) they angered the Lord,
and trouble came to Moses because of them;
33 for they rebelled(BP) against the Spirit(BQ) of God,
and rash words came from Moses’ lips.[c](BR)
34 They did not destroy(BS) the peoples
as the Lord had commanded(BT) them,
35 but they mingled(BU) with the nations
and adopted their customs.
36 They worshiped their idols,(BV)
which became a snare(BW) to them.
37 They sacrificed their sons(BX)
and their daughters to false gods.(BY)
38 They shed innocent blood,
the blood of their sons(BZ) and daughters,
whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan,
and the land was desecrated by their blood.
39 They defiled themselves(CA) by what they did;
by their deeds they prostituted(CB) themselves.
40 Therefore the Lord was angry(CC) with his people
and abhorred his inheritance.(CD)
41 He gave them into the hands(CE) of the nations,
and their foes ruled over them.
42 Their enemies oppressed(CF) them
and subjected them to their power.
43 Many times he delivered them,(CG)
but they were bent on rebellion(CH)
and they wasted away in their sin.
44 Yet he took note of their distress
when he heard their cry;(CI)
45 for their sake he remembered his covenant(CJ)
and out of his great love(CK) he relented.(CL)
46 He caused all who held them captive
to show them mercy.(CM)
47 Save us,(CN) Lord our God,
and gather us(CO) from the nations,
that we may give thanks(CP) to your holy name(CQ)
and glory in your praise.
48 Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
from everlasting to everlasting.
Let all the people say, “Amen!”(CR)
Praise the Lord.
