19 (A)If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because (B)you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.20 Remember the word that I said to you: (C)‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, (D)they will also persecute you. (E)If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
16 You will be delivered up (A)even by parents and brothers[a] and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death.17 (B)You will be hated by all for my name's sake.
10 Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, (A)that you may be tested, and for (B)ten days (C)you will have tribulation. (D)Be faithful (E)unto death, and I will give you (F)the crown of life.
12 But before all this (A)they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to (B)the synagogues and (C)prisons, and you (D)will be brought before (E)kings and (F)governors for my name's sake.
