22 Rồi thiên sứ chỉ cho tôi xem sông nước hằng sống trong như pha lê chảy ra từ ngai Đức Chúa Trời và ngai Chiên Con, 2 chảy giữa đại lộ của thành phố. Hai bên bờ sông có cây hằng sống ra trái mười hai mùa, mỗi tháng một lần kết quả, lá cây dùng để chữa bệnh cho các dân tộc. 3 Tại đó sẽ không còn nghe lời nguyền rủa. Ngai Đức Chúa Trời và ngai Chiên Con sẽ đặt trong thành; các đầy tớ Chúa sẽ phụng vụ Ngài. 4 Họ sẽ được thấy mặt Ngài và Danh Ngài được ghi trên trán họ. 5 Đêm tối không còn nữa. Họ sẽ không cần đèn hay ánh sáng mặt trời vì Chúa là Đức Chúa Trời sẽ chiếu sáng họ và họ sẽ trị vì cho đến đời đời.
6 Thiên sứ bảo tôi: “Các điều này đều là thành tín và chân thật. Chính Chúa là Đức Chúa Trời của tâm linh các tiên tri đã sai thiên sứ Ngài tỏ cho các đầy tớ Ngài những biến cố sắp xảy ra.
7 Này, Ta sắp đến! Phước cho người vâng giữ các lời tiên tri trong sách này.”
8 Tôi là Giăng, người đã nghe và thấy các điều này. Tôi quỳ xuống dưới chân thiên sứ đã tỏ cho tôi các việc này để thờ lạy. 9 Nhưng thiên sứ bảo tôi: “Đừng thờ lạy tôi! Tôi cũng là bạn đồng bộc của anh, của các anh chị em là các tiên tri của Chúa, và của tất cả những người vâng giữ các lời ghi trong sách này. Anh hãy thờ lạy Đức Chúa Trời!”
10 Thiên sứ lại bảo tôi: “Đừng niêm phong các lời tiên tri trong sách này vì thời điểm đã gần tới! 11 Kẻ bất chính cứ làm điều bất chính, kẻ ô uế vẫn cứ sống ô uế, còn người công chính hãy cứ làm điều công chính và những người thánh khiết hãy tiếp tục sống thánh khiết!
12 Này, Ta sắp đến, đem giải thưởng theo với Ta để báo trả cho mỗi người tùy theo công việc họ làm. 13 Ta là An-pha và Ô-mê-ga, là thứ nhất và cuối cùng, là ban đầu và chung cuộc.
14 Phước cho những người giặt sạch áo dài mình để được quyền dùng cây hằng sống và được bước qua các cổng mà vào thành phố thánh! 15 Bên ngoài là các loài chó, phù thủy, gian dâm, giết người, thờ thần tượng và tất cả những người ham thích và làm những việc gian dối.”
Kết Luận
16 Ta là Giê-su, đã sai thiên sứ Ta làm chứng cho các con những điều này trong các hội thánh. Ta là cội rễ và hậu tự của Đa-vít và sao mai sáng rực.
17 Thánh Linh và cô dâu cùng nói: “Xin hãy đến!” Người nào lắng nghe cũng hãy nói: “Xin hãy đến!” Người nào khát hãy đến, người nào muốn hãy nhận nước hằng sống miễn phí!
18 Ta cảnh cáo mọi người nghe các lời tiên tri trong sách này: “Nếu ai thêm điều gì vào sách này thì Đức Chúa Trời sẽ thêm cho kẻ ấy những tai họa đã ghi trong sách này. 19 Còn ai bớt lời nào trong sách tiên tri này, thì Đức Chúa Trời sẽ cất phần của kẻ ấy trong cây hằng sống và thành phố thánh mà sách này đã ghi.”
20 Đấng làm chứng cho những điều này phán: “Phải, Ta đến mau chóng!”
A-men. Lạy Chúa Giê-su, xin Ngài đến!

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.
8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.
21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

The River of Life
22 Then the angel[a] showed me (A)the river of (B)the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of (C)the street of the city; (D)also, on either side of the river, (E)the tree of life[b] with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were (F)for the healing of the nations. 3 (G)No longer will there be anything accursed, but (H)the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and (I)his servants will worship him. 4 (J)They will see his face, and (K)his name will be on their foreheads. 5 And (L)night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp (M)or sun, for (N)the Lord God will be their light, and (O)they will reign forever and ever.
Jesus Is Coming
6 And he said to me, (P)“These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of (Q)the spirits of the prophets, (R)has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.”
7 “And behold, (S)I am coming soon. (T)Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”
8 I, (U)John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, (V)I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, 9 (W)but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those (X)who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”
10 And he said to me, (Y)“Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. 11 (Z)Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.”
12 “Behold, (AA)I am coming soon, (AB)bringing my recompense with me, (AC)to repay each one for what he has done. 13 (AD)I am the Alpha and the Omega, (AE)the first and the last, (AF)the beginning and the end.”
14 Blessed are those who (AG)wash their robes,[c] so that they may have the right to (AH)the tree of life and that (AI)they may enter the city by the gates. 15 (AJ)Outside are (AK)the dogs (AL)and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 (AM)“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things (AN)for the churches. I am (AO)the root and (AP)the descendant of David, (AQ)the bright morning star.”
17 The Spirit and (AR)the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And (AS)let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the (AT)water of life without price.
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: (AU)if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in (AV)the tree of life and in (AW)the holy city, which are described in this book.
20 He who testifies to these things says, “Surely (AX)I am coming soon.” Amen. (AY)Come, Lord Jesus!
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.[d] Amen.

On each side of the river stood the tree of life,(E) bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.(F) 3 No longer will there be any curse.(G) The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.(H) 4 They will see his face,(I) and his name will be on their foreheads.(J) 5 There will be no more night.(K) They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light.(L) And they will reign for ever and ever.(M)
John and the Angel
6 The angel said to me,(N) “These words are trustworthy and true.(O) The Lord, the God who inspires the prophets,(P) sent his angel(Q) to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”
7 “Look, I am coming soon!(R) Blessed(S) is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy written in this scroll.”(T)
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things.(U) And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet(V) of the angel who had been showing them to me. 9 But he said to me, “Don’t do that! I am a fellow servant with you and with your fellow prophets and with all who keep the words of this scroll.(W) Worship God!”(X)
10 Then he told me, “Do not seal up(Y) the words of the prophecy of this scroll,(Z) because the time is near.(AA) 11 Let the one who does wrong continue to do wrong; let the vile person continue to be vile; let the one who does right continue to do right; and let the holy person continue to be holy.”(AB)
Epilogue: Invitation and Warning
12 “Look, I am coming soon!(AC) My reward is with me,(AD) and I will give to each person according to what they have done.(AE) 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega,(AF) the First and the Last,(AG) the Beginning and the End.(AH)
14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes,(AI) that they may have the right to the tree of life(AJ) and may go through the gates(AK) into the city.(AL) 15 Outside(AM) are the dogs,(AN) those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 “I, Jesus,(AO) have sent my angel(AP) to give you[a] this testimony for the churches.(AQ) I am the Root(AR) and the Offspring of David,(AS) and the bright Morning Star.”(AT)
17 The Spirit(AU) and the bride(AV) say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.(AW)
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll:(AX) If anyone adds anything to them,(AY) God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll.(AZ) 19 And if anyone takes words away(BA) from this scroll of prophecy,(BB) God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life(BC) and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
20 He who testifies to these things(BD) says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”(BE)
