15 ¶ Apre bagay sa yo, Abram fè yon vizyon. Li wè Seyè a ki t'ap pale avè l'. Seyè a di l' konsa. Abram, ou pa bezwen pè anyen. Se mwen menm k'ap pwoteje ou. M' sere yon gwo gwo rekonpans pou ou.
2 ¶ Abram di. Seyè, Bondye, kisa ou vle ban mwen? Mwen tout fin mouri, mwen pa gen pitit. Sèl moun lakay mwen ki pral eritye m', se Elyezè, moun peyi Damas la.
3 Abram di ankò. Gade! Ou pa ban m' pitit. Se yonn nan domestik mwen yo ki pral eritye m'.
4 Lè sa a, li tande Seyè a ki di l' konsa. Non, se pa li menm ki pral eritye ou. Se pwòp pitit zantray ou ki pral eritye ou.
5 Seyè a fè Abram soti deyò, li di l' konsa Leve je ou, gade syèl la byen. Konte zetwal yo si ou kapab. Apre sa, li di. Pitit pitit ou yo va anpil tankou zetwal nan syèl la.
6 Abram mete konfyans li nan Seyè a, se konsa Seyè a fè l' gras.
7 ¶ Seyè a di. Se mwen menm, Seyè a, ki te fè ou soti lavil Our nan peyi Kalde a, pou m' te ka ba ou peyi sa a pou ou.
8 Abram di. Seyè, Bondye, kijan pou m' fè konnen peyi sa a pou mwen vre?
9 Seyè a di l'. Pran yon ti gazèl bèf twazan, yon fenmèl kabrit twazan, yon belye twazan, yon toutrèl ak yon jenn pijon.
10 Abram al pran tout bèt sa yo, li koupe yo mitan pou mitan, li mete moso yo yonn anfas lòt. Men, li pa koupe zwazo yo an de.
11 Chak fwa malfini karanklou vin pou desann sou vyann bèt yo, Abram pouse yo ale.
12 ¶ Solèy tapral kouche lè dòmi vòlè Abram. Li dòmi nèt ale. Epi yon sèl lapèz pran l' nan dòmi an. Kote l' te ye a vin fè tout nwa.
13 Seyè a di l'. Konnen sa byen: Pitit pitit ou yo pral viv tankou etranje nan yon peyi ki pa pou yo. Y'ap fè yo tounen esklav, y'ap peze yo pandan katsanzan (400 an).
14 Men, apre sa, m'ap pini nasyon ki va pran yo fè esklav la. Konsa, lè lè a va rive pou yo kite peyi sa a, y'a soti avèk anpil anpil richès.
15 Kanta ou menm, ou pral mouri ak kè poze, ou pral jwenn zansèt ou yo ki mouri deja. Wi, anvan ou antre anba tè, wa viv lontan san ankenn pwoblèm.
16 Apre kat jenerasyon, pitit pitit ou yo va tounen isit la, paske se pou nou tann moun Amori yo rive nan dènye bout mechanste yo.
17 ¶ Apre solèy fin kouche, te fè nwa anpil. Epi men li, yon recho ki t'ap fè lafimen ansanm ak yon gwo bwa dife tout limen parèt. Yo pase nan mitan moso vyann bèt yo.
18 Se jou sa a Seyè a te pase kontra avèk Abram. Li di l' konsa M'ap bay pitit pitit ou yo tout peyi sa a, depi larivyè Lejip, rive jouk larivyè Lefrat la.
19 Sa vle di tout peyi kote moun Keni yo, moun Kenizi yo, moun Kadmon yo,
20 moun Et yo, moun Ferezi yo, moun refayim yo,
21 moun Amori yo, moun Kanaran yo, moun Gigach yo ak moun Jebis yo rete.

15 這些事以後，耶和華在異象中對亞伯蘭說：「亞伯蘭，你不用害怕，我是你的盾牌，我要大大賞賜你。」 2 亞伯蘭說：「主耶和華啊，你要賜我什麼呢？我沒有兒子，繼承我家業的人是大馬士革人以利以謝。」 3 亞伯蘭又說：「你沒有賜我兒子，我家中的僕人將繼承我的產業。」 4 耶和華又對他說：「這人不會成為你的繼承人，你親生的兒子才是你的繼承人。」 5 耶和華把亞伯蘭帶到外面，對他說：「你抬頭看看天空，數數繁星，你能數得盡嗎？你的後裔必這麼多。」 6 亞伯蘭信耶和華，耶和華便算他為義人。
7 耶和華又對他說：「我是耶和華，我帶你離開了迦勒底的吾珥，為要把這片土地賜給你。」 8 亞伯蘭說：「主耶和華啊，我怎麼知道我會得到這片土地呢？」 9 耶和華說：「你要給我預備三歲的母牛、母山羊和公綿羊各一頭，斑鳩和雛鴿各一隻。」 10 亞伯蘭一一照辦，把牲畜都劈成兩半，一半對著一半地擺列，但沒有劈開雀鳥。 11 有鷙鳥飛到那些屍體上，亞伯蘭趕走了牠們。
12 太陽下山的時候，亞伯蘭睡得很沉，忽然有可怕的黑暗籠罩著他。 13 耶和華對他說：「你要清楚知道，你的後裔必流落異鄉，被奴役、虐待四百年。 14 但我必懲罰奴役他們的國家，之後他們必帶著大量的財物離開那裡。 15 而你必享長壽，安然離世。 16 到了第四代[a]，你的子孫必重回此地，因為亞摩利人現在還沒有惡貫滿盈。」
17 太陽下山後，大地黑暗，突然有冒煙的火爐和點著的火炬在肉塊中經過。 18 就在那天，耶和華跟亞伯蘭立約，說：「我必將這片土地賜給你的後代，使他們得到從埃及河到幼發拉底河一帶的土地， 19 就是基尼人、基尼洗人、甲摩尼人、 20 赫人、比利洗人、利乏音人、 21 亞摩利人、迦南人、革迦撒人和耶布斯人的土地。」

The Lord’s Covenant With Abram
15 After this, the word of the Lord came to Abram(A) in a vision:(B)
2 But Abram said, “Sovereign Lord,(F) what can you give me since I remain childless(G) and the one who will inherit[c] my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?(H)” 3 And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant(I) in my household(J) will be my heir.”
4 Then the word of the Lord came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son who is your own flesh and blood will be your heir.(K)” 5 He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars(L)—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring[d] be.”(M)
6 Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.(N)
7 He also said to him, “I am the Lord, who brought you out(O) of Ur of the Chaldeans(P) to give you this land to take possession of it.”(Q)
8 But Abram said, “Sovereign Lord,(R) how can I know(S) that I will gain possession of it?”(T)
9 So the Lord said to him, “Bring me a heifer,(U) a goat and a ram, each three years old,(V) along with a dove and a young pigeon.(W)”
10 Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other;(X) the birds, however, he did not cut in half.(Y) 11 Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses,(Z) but Abram drove them away.
12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep,(AA) and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him. 13 Then the Lord said to him, “Know for certain that for four hundred years(AB) your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own and that they will be enslaved(AC) and mistreated there. 14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out(AD) with great possessions.(AE) 15 You, however, will go to your ancestors(AF) in peace and be buried at a good old age.(AG) 16 In the fourth generation(AH) your descendants will come back here,(AI) for the sin of the Amorites(AJ) has not yet reached its full measure.”
17 When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking firepot with a blazing torch(AK) appeared and passed between the pieces.(AL) 18 On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram(AM) and said, “To your descendants I give this land,(AN) from the Wadi[e] of Egypt(AO) to the great river, the Euphrates(AP)— 19 the land of the Kenites,(AQ) Kenizzites, Kadmonites, 20 Hittites,(AR) Perizzites,(AS) Rephaites,(AT) 21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.”(AU)
