Isaiah 26:20-27:13
New King James Version
Take Refuge from the Coming Judgment
20 Come, my people, (A)enter your chambers,
And shut your doors behind you;
Hide yourself, as it were, (B)for a little moment,
Until the indignation is past.
21 For behold, the Lord (C)comes out of His place
To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity;
The earth will also disclose her [a]blood,
And will no more cover her slain.
Israel Will Be Restored
27 In that day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong,
Will punish Leviathan the fleeing serpent,
(D)Leviathan that twisted serpent;
And He will slay (E)the reptile that is in the sea.
The Restoration of Israel
2 In that day (F)sing to her,
(G)“A vineyard of [b]red wine!
3 (H)I, the Lord, keep it,
I water it every moment;
Lest any hurt it,
I keep it night and day.
4 Fury is not in Me.
Who would set (I)briers and thorns
Against Me in battle?
I would go through them,
I would burn them together.
5 Or let him take hold (J)of My strength,
That he may (K)make peace with Me;
And he shall make peace with Me.”
6 Those who come He shall cause (L)to take root in Jacob;
Israel shall blossom and bud,
And fill the face of the world with fruit.
7 (M)Has He struck [c]Israel as He struck those who struck him?
Or has He been slain according to the slaughter of those who were slain by Him?
8 (N)In measure, by sending it away,
You contended with it.
(O)He removes it by His rough wind
In the day of the east wind.
9 Therefore by this the iniquity of Jacob will be covered;
And this is all the fruit of taking away his sin:
When he makes all the stones of the altar
Like chalkstones that are beaten to dust,
[d]Wooden images and incense altars shall not stand.
10 Yet the fortified city will be (P)desolate,
The habitation forsaken and left like a wilderness;
There the calf will feed, and there it will lie down
And consume its branches.
11 When its boughs are withered, they will be broken off;
The women come and set them on fire.
For (Q)it is a people of no understanding;
Therefore He who made them will (R)not have mercy on them,
And (S)He who formed them will show them no favor.
12 And it shall come to pass in that day
That the Lord will thresh,
From the channel of [e]the River to the Brook of Egypt;
And you will be (T)gathered one by one,
O you children of Israel.
13 (U)So it shall be in that day:
(V)The great trumpet will be blown;
They will come, who are about to perish in the land of Assyria,
And they who are outcasts in the land of (W)Egypt,
And shall (X)worship the Lord in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

Isaiah 26:20-27:13
Young's Literal Translation
20 Come, My people, enter into thy inner chambers, And shut thy doors behind thee, Hide thyself shortly a moment till the indignation pass over.
21 For, lo, Jehovah is coming out of His place, To charge the iniquity of the inhabitant of the earth upon him, And revealed hath the earth her blood, Nor doth she cover any more her slain!'
27 In that day lay a charge doth Jehovah, With his sword -- the sharp, and the great, and the strong, On leviathan -- a fleeing serpent, And on leviathan -- a crooked serpent, And He hath slain the dragon that [is] in the sea.
2 In that day, `A desirable vineyard,' respond ye to her,
3 I, Jehovah, am its keeper, every moment I water it, Lest any lay a charge against it, Night and day I keep it!
4 Fury is not in Me; Who giveth Me a brier -- a thorn in battle? I step into it, I burn it at once.
5 Or -- he doth take hold on My strength, He doth make peace with Me, Peace he doth make with Me.
6 Those coming in He causeth to take root, Jacob doth blossom, and flourished hath Israel, And they have filled the face of the world [with] increase.
7 As the smiting of his smiter hath He smitten him? As the slaying of his slain doth He slay?
8 In measure, in sending it forth, thou strivest with it, He hath taken away by His sharp wind, In the day of an east wind,
9 Therefore by this is the iniquity of Jacob covered, And this [is] all the fruit -- To take away his sin, in His setting all the stones of an altar, As chalkstones beaten in pieces, They rise not -- shrines and images.
10 For the fenced city [is] alone, A habitation cast out and forsaken as a wilderness, There doth the calf delight, And there it lieth down, And hath consumed its branches.
11 In the withering of its branch it is broken off, Women are coming in setting it on fire, For it [is] not a people of understanding, Therefore pity it not doth its Maker, And its Former doth not favour it.
12 And it hath come to pass, in that day, Beat out doth Jehovah from the branch of the river, Unto the stream of Egypt, And ye are gathered one by one, O sons of Israel.
13 And it hath come to pass, in that day, It is blown with a great trumpet, And come in have those perishing in the land of Asshur, And those cast out in the land of Egypt, And have bowed themselves to Jehovah, In the holy mount -- in Jerusalem!
Isaiah 26:20-27:13
New American Standard Bible
20 Come, my people, (A)enter your rooms
And close your doors behind you;
Hide for a little [a](B)while
Until (C)indignation [b]runs its course.
21 For behold, the Lord is about to (D)come out from His place
To (E)punish the inhabitants of the earth for their wrongdoing;
And the earth will (F)reveal her bloodshed
And will no longer cover her slain.
God’s Blessings for Israel
27 On that day (G)the Lord will punish [c](H)Leviathan the fleeing serpent,
With His fierce and great and mighty sword,
Even [d]Leviathan the twisted serpent;
And (I)He will kill the dragon who lives in the sea.
2 On that day,
“A [e](J)vineyard of beauty, sing of it!
3 I, the Lord, am its keeper;
(K)I water it every moment.
So that no one will [f]damage it,
I (L)guard it night and day.
4 I have no wrath.
Should [g]someone give Me (M)briars and thorns in battle,
Then I would step on them, (N)I would burn them [h]completely.
5 Or let him [i](O)rely on My protection,
Let him make peace with Me,
Let him (P)make peace with Me.”
6 [j]In the days to come Jacob (Q)will take root,
Israel will (R)blossom and sprout,
And they will fill the [k]whole world with (S)fruit.
7 Like the striking of Him who has struck them, has (T)He struck them?
Or like the slaughter of His slain, [l]have they been slain?
8 You contended with them [m]by banishing them, by (U)driving them away.
With His fierce wind He has expelled them on the day of the (V)east wind.
9 Therefore through this Jacob’s wrongdoing will be (W)forgiven;
And this will be [n]the full price of the [o](X)pardoning of his sin:
When he makes all the (Y)altar stones like pulverized chalk stones;
When [p]Asherim and incense altars will not stand.
10 For the fortified city is (Z)isolated,
A [q]homestead deserted and abandoned like the desert;
(AA)There the calf will graze,
And there it will lie down and [r]feed on its branches.
11 When its (AB)limbs are dry, they are broken off;
Women come and make a fire with them,
For they are not a people of (AC)discernment,
Therefore (AD)their Maker (AE)will not have compassion on them.
And their Creator will not be gracious to them.
12 On that day the Lord (AF)will thresh from the flowing stream of the (AG)Euphrates River to the brook of Egypt, and you will be (AH)gathered up one by one, you sons of Israel. 13 It will come about also on that day that a great (AI)trumpet will be blown, and those who were perishing in the land of (AJ)Assyria and who were scattered in the land of Egypt will come and (AK)worship the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
