“Surely this is our God;^(B)
    we trusted^(C) in him, and he saved^(D) us.
This is the Lord, we trusted in him;
    let us rejoice^(E) and be glad in his salvation.”^(F)

¹⁰     and those the Lord has rescued^(A) will return.
They will enter Zion with singing;^(B)
    everlasting joy^(C) will crown their heads.
Gladness^(D) and joy will overtake them,
    and sorrow and sighing will flee away.^(E)

¹² You will go out in joy^(A)
    and be led forth in peace;^(B)
the mountains and hills
    will burst into song^(C) before you,
and all the trees^(D) of the field
    will clap their hands.^(E)

¹³ Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper,
    and instead of briers^(A) the myrtle^(B) will grow.
This will be for the Lord’s renown,^(C)
    for an everlasting sign,
    that will endure forever.”
