2 But in these last days, he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he has made heir of all things; by whom also he made the world. 3 Which Son, being the brightness of his glory and very image of his substance, bearing up all things with the word of his power, has in his own person purged our sins, and is seated on the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4 and is more excellent than the angels, inasmuch as he has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Han är avbilden av hans väsen, och han bär upp allting med sitt mäktiga ord. När han hade utfört syndareningen, satte han sig ner på Majestätets högra sida i höjden.[b]

2 but in these last days(A) he has spoken to us by his Son,(B) whom he appointed heir(C) of all things, and through whom(D) also he made the universe.(E) 3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory(F) and the exact representation of his being,(G) sustaining all things(H) by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins,(I) he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.(J) 4 So he became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs.(K)
