²⁷ Unlike the other high priests, he has no need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins and then for those of the people. He accomplished this once for all when he offered himself.

²⁶ For then he would have had to suffer over and over again since the creation of the world. But as it is, he has appeared once and for all at the end of the ages to abolish sin by sacrificing himself.

²⁸ so Christ, having been offered once to take away the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.

¹⁰ And it was by this “will” that we have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

¹² But Jesus offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, and then took his seat at the right hand of God,

¹⁴ Therefore, by a single offering he has made perfect forever those who are being sanctified.
