Ang mga Nagmula sa Lahi ni Esau(A)
36 Ito ang kasaysayan ng lahi na mula kay Esau na tinatawag ding Edom. 2 Ang(B) napangasawa niya ay mga Cananea: si Ada, anak ni Elon na Heteo, si Aholibama, anak ni Ana at apo ni Zibeon na Hivita, 3 at(C) si Basemat na anak naman ni Ismael at kapatid ni Nebayot. 4 Ang anak ni Esau kay Ada ay si Elifaz; kay Basemat ay si Reuel; 5 at kay Aholibama ay sina Jeus, Jalam at Korah. Silang lahat ay ipinanganak sa Canaan.
6 Nangibang-bayan si Esau kasama ang kanyang mga asawa, mga anak, mga tauhan, pati ang mga hayop at ang lahat ng ari-arian ay kanyang dinala. 7 Iniwan niya si Jacob sa Canaan, sapagkat ang lupaing ito'y hindi na sapat sa kanilang mga kawan. 8 Sa Seir nanirahan si Esau.
9 Ito ang kasaysayan ng lahi na mula kay Esau, ang pinagmulan ng mga Edomita sa kaburulan ng Seir: 10 si Elifaz, anak kay Ada; at si Reuel, kay Basemat. 11 Ang mga anak naman ni Elifaz ay sina Teman, Omar, Zefo, Gatam at Kenaz. 12 At si Amalek ang naging anak ni Elifaz kay Timna. Sila ang mga apo ni Esau kay Ada.
13 Ito naman ang mga apo ni Esau kay Reuel na anak ni Basemat: Nahat, Zera, Shammah at Miza.
14 Ang mga anak ni Esau kay Aholibama na anak ni Ana at apo ni Zibeon, ay sina Jeus, Jalam at Korah.
15-16 Ito ang mga pinuno sa lahi ni Esau: Teman, Omar, Zefo at Kenaz, Korah, Gatam at Amalek, mga anak ni Elifaz na kanyang panganay at apo ni Ada. Sila'y naging pinuno sa lupain ng Edom.
17 Naging mga pinuno rin sa lupain ng Edom sina Nahat, Zera, Shammah, at Miza na mga anak ni Reuel. Sila ang mga apo ni Esau kay Basemat.
18 Sina Jeus, Jalam at Korah ang naging pinuno sa mga anak ni Esau kay Aholibama na anak ni Ana. 19 Ang lahat ng mga liping ito'y nagmula sa lahi ni Esau.
Ang Lahi ni Seir(D)
20 Ito ang mga anak ni Seir, ang Horeo: Lotan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, 21 Dishon, Ezer at Disan. Sila ang mga pinuno ng mga Horeo na unang nanirahan sa lupain ng Edom.
22 Ang mga anak ni Lotan ay sina Hori at Heman. Si Timna ay kapatid na babae ni Lotan.
23 Ito naman ang mga anak ni Sobal: Alvan, Manahat, Ebal, Zefo at Onam.
24 Ang kay Zibeon naman ay sina Aya at Ana. Si Ana ang siyang nakatuklas ng mainit na bukal sa ilang samantalang inaalagaan ang mga asno ng kanyang ama. 25 Ang mga anak ni Ana ay si Dishon at ang kapatid nitong babae na si Aholibama. 26 Ang mga anak naman ni Dishon ay sina Hemdan, Esban, Itran at Keran.
27 Sina Bilhan, Zaavan at Acan ang mga anak naman ni Ezer.
28 At ang kay Disan ay sina Hus at Aran.
29 Ito ang mga pinuno ng mga Horeo sa lupain ng Seir ayon sa kanilang angkan: Lotan, Sobal, Zibeon, Ana, 30 Dishon, Ezer at Disan.
Ang mga Hari ng Edom(E)
31 Ito naman ang mga naging hari sa lupain ng Edom bago nagkaroon ng haring Israelita. 32 Si Bela, ang anak ni Beor, ay naghari sa Lunsod ng Dinaba. 33 Pagkamatay niya, pumalit si Jobab na anak ni Zerah, na taga-Bosra. 34 Nang mamatay naman si Jobab, pumalit si Husam na Temaneo. 35 Namatay si Husam, at humalili naman si Hadad, anak ni Bedad na tumalo sa mga Midianita sa lupain ng Moab. Avit ang tawag sa kanyang lunsod. 36 Pagkamatay ni Hadad, siya'y pinalitan ni Samla na taga-Masreca. 37 Si Saul namang taga-Rehobot sa Eufrates ang sumunod na namahala pagkamatay ni Samla. 38 Pagkamatay ni Saul, ang naghari ay si Baal-hanan na anak ni Acbor. 39 Pagkamatay ni Baal-hanan, pumalit si Hadar. Ang pangalan ng lunsod niya ay Pau. Si Mehetabel na anak ni Matred at apo ni Mezahab ang kanyang asawa.
40 Ito ang mga liping nagmula kay Esau ayon sa kanilang tirahan: Timna, Alva, Jetet, 41 Aholibama, Ela, Pinon, 42 Kenaz, Teman, Mibzar, 43 Magdiel at Iram. Ito ang mga bansa ng Edom ayon sa kani-kanilang tirahan. Si Esau ang ninuno ng mga Edomita.

36 Now this is the history of the generations of Esau (that is, Edom). 2 Esau took his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon, the Hittite; and Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, the Hivite; 3 and Basemath, Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebaioth. 4 Adah bore to Esau Eliphaz. Basemath bore Reuel. 5 Oholibamah bore Jeush, Jalam, and Korah. These are the sons of Esau, who were born to him in the land of Canaan. 6 Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the members of his household, with his livestock, all his animals, and all his possessions, which he had gathered in the land of Canaan, and went into a land away from his brother Jacob. 7 For their substance was too great for them to dwell together, and the land of their travels couldn’t bear them because of their livestock. 8 Esau lived in the hill country of Seir. Esau is Edom.
9 This is the history of the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in the hill country of Seir: 10 these are the names of Esau’s sons: Eliphaz, the son of Adah, the wife of Esau; and Reuel, the son of Basemath, the wife of Esau. 11 The sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz. 12 Timna was concubine to Eliphaz, Esau’s son; and she bore to Eliphaz Amalek. These are the descendants of Adah, Esau’s wife. 13 These are the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. These were the descendants of Basemath, Esau’s wife. 14 These were the sons of Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon, Esau’s wife: she bore to Esau Jeush, Jalam, and Korah.
15 These are the chiefs of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn of Esau: chief Teman, chief Omar, chief Zepho, chief Kenaz, 16 chief Korah, chief Gatam, chief Amalek. These are the chiefs who came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Adah. 17 These are the sons of Reuel, Esau’s son: chief Nahath, chief Zerah, chief Shammah, chief Mizzah. These are the chiefs who came of Reuel in the land of Edom. These are the sons of Basemath, Esau’s wife. 18 These are the sons of Oholibamah, Esau’s wife: chief Jeush, chief Jalam, chief Korah. These are the chiefs who came of Oholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau’s wife. 19 These are the sons of Esau (that is, Edom), and these are their chiefs.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, the inhabitants of the land: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, 21 Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan. These are the chiefs who came of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom. 22 The children of Lotan were Hori and Heman. Lotan’s sister was Timna. 23 These are the children of Shobal: Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, Shepho, and Onam. 24 These are the children of Zibeon: Aiah and Anah. This is Anah who found the hot springs in the wilderness, as he fed the donkeys of Zibeon his father. 25 These are the children of Anah: Dishon and Oholibamah, the daughter of Anah. 26 These are the children of Dishon: Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran. 27 These are the children of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and Akan. 28 These are the children of Dishan: Uz and Aran. 29 These are the chiefs who came of the Horites: chief Lotan, chief Shobal, chief Zibeon, chief Anah, 30 chief Dishon, chief Ezer, and chief Dishan. These are the chiefs who came of the Horites, according to their chiefs in the land of Seir.
31 These are the kings who reigned in the land of Edom, before any king reigned over the children of Israel. 32 Bela, the son of Beor, reigned in Edom. The name of his city was Dinhabah. 33 Bela died, and Jobab, the son of Zerah of Bozrah, reigned in his place. 34 Jobab died, and Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his place. 35 Husham died, and Hadad, the son of Bedad, who struck Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his place. The name of his city was Avith. 36 Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his place. 37 Samlah died, and Shaul of Rehoboth by the river, reigned in his place. 38 Shaul died, and Baal Hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his place. 39 Baal Hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his place. The name of his city was Pau. His wife’s name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
40 These are the names of the chiefs who came from Esau, according to their families, after their places, and by their names: chief Timna, chief Alvah, chief Jetheth, 41 chief Oholibamah, chief Elah, chief Pinon, 42 chief Kenaz, chief Teman, chief Mibzar, 43 chief Magdiel, and chief Iram. These are the chiefs of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession. This is Esau, the father of the Edomites.

36 Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
2 Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
3 And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.
4 And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;
5 And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
6 And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.
7 For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.
8 Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
9 And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
10 These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.
11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
12 And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.

18 And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
19 These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.
20 These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
21 And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
