Làm Ê-phót
(Xuất 28:1-14)
39 Người ta dùng chỉ xanh dương, chỉ tím, và chỉ đỏ thắm may một bộ lễ phục thật trang trọng để dùng khi hành lễ trong Nơi Thánh. Họ may một bộ lễ phục thánh cho A-rôn, như Chúa đã truyền cho Môi-se.
2 Ông làm chiếc ê-phót bằng vàng, chung với chỉ xanh dương, chỉ tím, chỉ đỏ thắm, và vải dệt bằng sợi gai mịn. 3 Họ lấy vàng lá, dát mỏng, cắt thành sợi, rồi thêu với chỉ xanh dương, chỉ tím, và chỉ đỏ thắm trên vải dệt bằng sợi gai mịn, làm thành một tác phẩm rất mỹ thuật. 4 Họ làm hai cầu vai cho ê-phót và nối liền chúng với hai thân ở hai mép. 5 Ðai cột ê-phót cũng được làm bằng các vật liệu đó và với cách đó, tức làm bằng vàng, chỉ xanh dương, chỉ tím, chỉ đỏ thắm, và vải dệt bằng sợi gai mịn, như Chúa đã truyền cho Môi-se.
6 Họ lấy các viên bạch bảo ngọc có vân đã được cắt mài sẵn, gắn vào các khuôn bằng vàng, rồi khắc vào đó theo cách người ta khắc con dấu tên các con trai của I-sơ-ra-ên. 7 Rồi ông gắn các khuôn đó vào hai cầu vai của ê-phót, để làm các viên ngọc tưởng nhớ các con trai của I-sơ-ra-ên, như Chúa đã truyền cho Môi-se.

The Priestly Garments
39 From the blue, purple and scarlet yarn(A) they made woven garments for ministering in the sanctuary.(B) They also made sacred garments(C) for Aaron, as the Lord commanded Moses.
The Ephod(D)
2 They[a] made the ephod of gold, and of blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and of finely twisted linen. 3 They hammered out thin sheets of gold and cut strands to be worked into the blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen—the work of skilled hands. 4 They made shoulder pieces for the ephod, which were attached to two of its corners, so it could be fastened. 5 Its skillfully woven waistband was like it—of one piece with the ephod and made with gold, and with blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and with finely twisted linen, as the Lord commanded Moses.
6 They mounted the onyx stones in gold filigree settings and engraved them like a seal with the names of the sons of Israel. 7 Then they fastened them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as memorial(E) stones for the sons of Israel, as the Lord commanded Moses.
