Circumcise Your Heart

12 “And now, Israel, (A)what does the Lord your God require of you, but (B)to fear the Lord your God, (C)to walk in all his ways, (D)to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, 13 and (E)to keep the commandments and statutes of the Lord, which I am commanding you today (F)for your good?

Tell of All His Wondrous Works

105 (A)Oh give thanks to the Lord; (B)call upon his name;
    (C)make known his deeds among the peoples!
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
    (D)tell of all his wondrous works!
Glory in his holy name;
    let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
Seek the Lord and his (E)strength;
    (F)seek his presence continually!
Remember the (G)wondrous works that he has done,
    his miracles, and (H)the judgments he uttered,
O offspring of (I)Abraham, his servant,
    children of Jacob, his (J)chosen ones!

21 Then Moses called all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Go and select lambs for yourselves (A)according to your clans, and kill the Passover lamb. 22 Take a bunch of (B)hyssop and (C)dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and touch (D)the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. (E)None of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning. 23 (F)For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians, and when he sees the blood on (G)the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and (H)will not allow the destroyer to enter your houses to strike you. 24 You shall observe this rite as a statute for you and for your sons forever. 25 And when you come to the land that the Lord will give you, (I)as he has promised, you shall keep this service. 26 And (J)when your children say to you, ‘What do you mean by this service?’ 27 you shall say, (K)‘It is the sacrifice of the Lord's Passover, for he passed over the houses of the people of Israel in Egypt, when he struck the Egyptians but spared our houses.’” And the people (L)bowed their heads and worshiped.

28 Then the people of Israel went and did so; as the Lord had commanded Moses and Aaron, so they did.

The Passover with the Disciples

(A)Then came (B)the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. So Jesus[a] sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it.” They said to him, “Where will you have us prepare it?” 10 He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house that he enters 11 and tell the master of the house, (C)‘The Teacher says to you, Where is (D)the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ 12 And he will show you (E)a large upper room furnished; prepare it there.” 13 And they went and found it (F)just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

Institution of the Lord's Supper

14 (G)And when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him. 15 And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you I will not eat it[b] (H)until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 And he took a cup, and (I)when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. 18 (J)For I tell you that from now on I will not drink of the fruit of the vine (K)until the kingdom of God comes.”

Do this in remembrance of me.” 20 And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, (D)“This cup that is poured out for you is (E)the new (F)covenant in my blood.[a] 21 (G)But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is (H)with me on the table. 22 For the Son of Man goes (I)as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom he is betrayed!” 23 And they began to question one another, which of them it could be who was going to do this.
