La mujer y el dragón
12 Apareció en el cielo una señal maravillosa: una mujer revestida del sol, con la luna debajo de sus pies y con una corona de doce estrellas en la cabeza. 2 Estaba embarazada y gritaba por los dolores y angustias del parto. 3 Y apareció en el cielo otra señal: un enorme dragón de color rojo encendido que tenía siete cabezas, diez cuernos y una diadema en cada cabeza. 4 Con la cola arrastró la tercera parte de las estrellas del cielo y las arrojó sobre la tierra. Cuando la mujer estaba a punto de dar a luz, el dragón se plantó delante de ella para devorar a su hijo tan pronto como naciera. 5 Ella dio a luz un hijo varón que «gobernará a todas las naciones con cetro de hierro».[a] Pero su hijo fue arrebatado y llevado hasta Dios, que está en su trono. 6 Y la mujer huyó al desierto, a un lugar que Dios le había preparado para que allí la sustentaran durante mil doscientos sesenta días.
7 Se desató entonces una guerra en el cielo: Miguel y sus ángeles combatieron al dragón; este y sus ángeles, a su vez, les hicieron frente, 8 pero no pudieron vencer y ya no hubo lugar para ellos en el cielo. 9 Así fue expulsado el gran dragón, aquella serpiente antigua que se llama Diablo y Satanás que engaña al mundo entero. Junto con sus ángeles, fue arrojado a la tierra.
10 Luego oí en el cielo un gran clamor:
«Han llegado ya la salvación y el poder y el reino de nuestro Dios;
ha llegado ya la autoridad de su Cristo.
Porque ha sido expulsado
el acusador de nuestros hermanos,
el que los acusaba día y noche delante de nuestro Dios.
11 Ellos lo han vencido
por medio de la sangre del Cordero
y por el mensaje del cual dieron testimonio;
no valoraron tanto su vida
como para evitar la muerte.
12 Por eso, ¡alégrense, cielos,
y ustedes que los habitan!
Pero ¡ay de la tierra y del mar!
El diablo, lleno de furor, ha descendido a ustedes,
porque sabe que le queda poco tiempo».
13 Cuando el dragón se vio arrojado a la tierra, persiguió a la mujer que había dado a luz al varón. 14 Pero a la mujer se le dieron las dos alas de la gran águila, para que volara al desierto, al lugar donde sería sustentada durante un tiempo y tiempos y medio tiempo, lejos de la vista de la serpiente. 15 La serpiente, persiguiendo a la mujer, arrojó por sus fauces agua como un río para que la corriente la arrastrara. 16 Pero la tierra ayudó a la mujer: abrió la boca y se tragó el río que el dragón había arrojado por sus fauces. 17 Entonces el dragón se enfureció contra la mujer y se fue a hacer guerra contra el resto de sus descendientes, los cuales obedecen los mandamientos de Dios y se mantienen fieles al testimonio de Jesús.

12 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:
2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.
3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.
4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.
6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

2 (A)Тя беше бременна и викаше от родилни болки, като се мъчеше да роди.
3 (B)И друго знамение се яви на небето и, ето, голям огненочервен змей, който имаше седем глави и десет рога и на главите му седем корони.
4 (C)А опашката му, като завлече една трета част от небесните звезди, ги хвърли на земята; и змеят застана пред жената, която щеше да роди, за да изяде детето ѝ, щом роди.
5 (D)И тя роди мъжко дете, което ще управлява всички народи с желязна тояга; и нейното дете беше грабнато и занесено при Бога, дори при Неговия престол.
6 (E)Тогава жената побегна в пустинята, където имаше място, приготвено от Бога, за да я хранят там хиляда двеста и шестдесет дни.
7 (F)И стана война на небесата: излязоха Михаил и неговите ангели да воюват против змея; и змеят воюва заедно със своите ангели;
8 обаче те не надвиха, нито се намери вече място за тях на небето.
9 (G)И беше свален големият змей, онази старовременна змия, която се нарича дявол и Сатана, който мами целия свят; свален беше на земята, свалени бяха и ангелите му заедно с него.
10 (H)И чух силен глас на небесата, който казваше: Сега дойде спасението, силата и царството на нашия Бог и властта на Неговия Христос; защото бе свален клеветникът на нашите братя, който ги клевети денем и нощем пред нашия Бог.
11 (I)А те го победиха чрез кръвта на Агнеца и чрез словото на своето свидетелство; защото не обичаха живота си дотолкова, че да бягат от смърт.
12 (J)Затова веселете се, небеса, и вие, които живеете в тях. Но горко на вас, земя и море, защото дяволът слезе при вас много разярен, понеже знае, че му остава малко време.
13 (K)След като змеят видя, че бе свален на земята, той почна да преследва жената, която бе родила мъжкото дете.
14 (L)И бяха дадени на жената двете крила на голям орел, за да отлети на мястото си в пустинята, там, където я хранят за време и времена, и половин време, скрита от лицето на змея.
15 (M)И змеят изпусна след жената от устата си вода като река, за да направи да я завлече реката.
16 Но земята помогна на жената, защото земята отвори устата си и погълна реката, която змеят беше изпуснал от устата си.
17 (N)Тогава змеят се разяри против жената и отиде да воюва против останалите от нейното потомство, които пазят Божиите заповеди и свидетелството на Исус; и змеят застана на морския пясък.
