El ángel y el librito
10 Vi a otro ángel poderoso[a](A) que descendía del cielo(B), envuelto en una nube. El arco iris estaba sobre su cabeza(C), su rostro era como el sol(D) y sus pies como columnas de fuego(E). 2 Tenía en su mano un librito(F) abierto. Puso el pie derecho sobre el mar y el izquierdo sobre la tierra(G), 3 y gritó a gran voz, como ruge un león(H). Y cuando gritó, los siete truenos emitieron[b] sus voces(I). 4 Después que los siete truenos hablaron, iba yo a escribir(J), cuando[c] oí una voz del cielo(K) que decía: «Sella las cosas que los siete truenos han dicho y no las escribas(L)».
5 Entonces el ángel que yo había visto de pie sobre el mar y sobre la tierra, levantó su mano derecha al cielo(M), 6 y juró por Aquel que vive por los siglos de los siglos(N), quien creó el cielo y las cosas que en él hay, y la tierra y las cosas que en ella hay, y el mar y las cosas que en él hay(O), que ya no habrá más demora[d](P). 7 Porque en los días de la voz del séptimo ángel(Q), cuando esté para tocar la trompeta, entonces el misterio de Dios será[e] consumado(R), como Él lo anunció[f] a Sus siervos los profetas.
8 La voz que yo había oído del cielo(S), la oí de nuevo hablando conmigo: «Ve, toma el libro que está abierto en la mano del ángel que está de pie sobre el mar y sobre la tierra(T)». 9 Entonces fui al ángel y le dije que me diera el librito. Y él me dijo*: «Tómalo y devóralo(U). Te amargará las entrañas, pero en tu boca será dulce como la miel». 10 Tomé el librito de la mano del ángel y lo devoré, y en mi boca fue dulce como la miel; pero cuando lo comí, me amargó las entrañas.
11 Y me dijeron*[g](V): «Debes profetizar otra vez(W) acerca de muchos pueblos, naciones, lenguas(X) y reyes(Y)».

10 Luego vi a otro ángel poderoso, que bajaba del cielo envuelto en una nube. Un arco iris adornaba su cabeza; su cara brillaba como el sol, y sus piernas eran como dos columnas de fuego. 2 En su mano llevaba un librito abierto. Cuando el ángel se detuvo, puso el pie derecho sobre el mar y el pie izquierdo sobre la tierra. 3 Entonces gritó con fuerte voz, como si fuera un león que ruge; y cuando gritó se oyeron siete voces fuertes como truenos.
4 Estaba yo por escribir lo que dijeron las siete voces, cuando oí una voz del cielo que me dijo: «No escribas lo que dijeron las siete voces fuertes como truenos, sino guárdalo en secreto.»
5 El ángel que se había detenido sobre el mar y sobre la tierra levantó al cielo su mano derecha, 6-7 y juró por Dios que diría la verdad. Dijo: «Dios ya no esperará más. Cuando el séptimo ángel toque su trompeta, Dios hará todo lo que había planeado y mantenía en secreto. Hará todo lo que ya había dicho a sus servidores los profetas.» Y el ángel juró por el Dios que vive para siempre y que creó el universo.
8 Entonces la voz del cielo, que yo había oído antes, me habló otra vez y me dijo: «Ve y toma el librito abierto. Tómalo de la mano del ángel que se detuvo sobre el mar y sobre la tierra.»
9 Yo fui y le pedí al ángel que me diera el librito. Y el ángel me contestó: «Tómalo y cómetelo. En la boca te sabrá dulce como la miel, pero en el estómago te sabrá amargo.»
10 Yo tomé el librito de la mano del ángel, y me lo comí. Y en efecto, en la boca me supo dulce como la miel, pero en el estómago me supo amargo. 11 Entonces me dijeron: «Tienes que anunciar los planes de Dios a la gente de muchos países, razas, idiomas y reyes.»

6 και ωμοσεν εν τω ζωντι εις τους αιωνας των αιωνων ος εκτισεν τον ουρανον και τα εν αυτω και την γην και τα εν αυτη [και την θαλασσαν και τα εν αυτη] οτι χρονος ουκετι εσται
7 αλλ εν ταις ημεραις της φωνης του εβδομου αγγελου οταν μελλη σαλπιζειν και ετελεσθη το μυστηριον του θεου ως ευηγγελισεν τους εαυτου δουλους τους προφητας
8 και η φωνη ην ηκουσα εκ του ουρανου παλιν λαλουσαν μετ εμου και λεγουσαν υπαγε λαβε το βιβλιον το ηνεωγμενον εν τη χειρι του αγγελου του εστωτος επι της θαλασσης και επι της γης
9 και απηλθα προς τον αγγελον λεγων αυτω δουναι μοι το βιβλαριδιον και λεγει μοι λαβε και καταφαγε αυτο και πικρανει σου την κοιλιαν αλλ εν τω στοματι σου εσται γλυκυ ως μελι

The Angel and the Little Scroll
10 Then I saw another mighty angel(A) coming down from heaven.(B) He was robed in a cloud, with a rainbow(C) above his head; his face was like the sun,(D) and his legs were like fiery pillars.(E) 2 He was holding a little scroll,(F) which lay open in his hand. He planted his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,(G) 3 and he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion.(H) When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders(I) spoke. 4 And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write;(J) but I heard a voice from heaven(K) say, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down.”(L)
5 Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land(M) raised his right hand to heaven.(N) 6 And he swore(O) by him who lives for ever and ever,(P) who created the heavens and all that is in them, the earth and all that is in it, and the sea and all that is in it,(Q) and said, “There will be no more delay!(R) 7 But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet,(S) the mystery(T) of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to his servants the prophets.”(U)
8 Then the voice that I had heard from heaven(V) spoke to me once more: “Go, take the scroll(W) that lies open in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the land.”
9 So I went to the angel and asked him to give me the little scroll. He said to me, “Take it and eat it. It will turn your stomach sour, but ‘in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.’[a]”(X) 10 I took the little scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it. It tasted as sweet as honey in my mouth,(Y) but when I had eaten it, my stomach turned sour. 11 Then I was told, “You must prophesy(Z) again about many peoples, nations, languages and kings.”(AA)
