Prolog

1 Descoperirea[a] lui[b] Isus Cristos, pe care I-a dat-o Dumnezeu, ca să le arate robilor Lui ce trebuie să se întâmple în curând. Le-a făcut-o cunoscută trimiţându-Şi îngerul la robul Său Ioan, 2 care a depus mărturie în legătură cu tot ce a văzut cu privire la Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu şi la mărturia lui Isus Cristos. 3 Ferice[c] de cel ce citeşte şi aude cuvintele profeţiei şi de cel ce păzeşte lucrurile scrise în ea, căci vremea este aproape!

4 Ioan, către cele şapte[d] biserici care sunt în Asia[e]: har şi pace vouă de la Cel Care este, Care era şi Care vine, de la cele şapte duhuri[f] care se află înaintea tronului Său 5 şi de la Isus Cristos, Martorul credincios, Întâiul născut dintre cei morţi şi Conducătorul regilor pământului!

A Celui Care ne iubeşte, Care ne-a eliberat din păcatele noastre prin sângele Lui 6 şi ne-a făcut să fim o Împărăţie şi preoţi[g] pentru Dumnezeu, Tatăl Său, a Lui să fie slava şi puterea în vecii vecilor! Amin.

7 Iată, El va veni pe nori[h]
    şi orice ochi Îl va vedea,
chiar şi cei care L-au străpuns[i].
    Toate neamurile pământului se vor jeli din pricina Lui.
Da! Amin![j]

8 „Eu sunt Alfa şi Omega[k], zice Domnul, Dumnezeu, Cel Care este, Care era şi Care vine, Cel Atotputernic!“

Cineva ca un fiu al omului

9 Eu, Ioan, fratele vostru, care sunt părtaş împreună cu voi la necazuri, la Împărăţie[l] şi la răbdarea în Isus, mă aflam pe insula Patmos[m], din pricina Cuvântului lui Dumnezeu şi a mărturiei lui Isus. 10 În ziua Domnului[n] eram în Duhul şi am auzit în spatele meu un glas puternic, ca sunetul unei trâmbiţe, 11 care-mi spunea: „Scrie pe un sul ceea ce vezi şi trimite-l celor şapte biserici: în Efes, Smirna, Pergam, Tiatira, Sardes, Filadelfia şi Laodicea[o]!“

12 M-am întors să văd ce glas vorbea cu mine; şi când m-am întors, am văzut şapte sfeşnice de aur, 13 iar printre sfeşnice, pe „Cineva Care era ca un fiu al omului“[p]. Era îmbrăcat într-o mantie care-I ajungea până la picioare şi era încins la piept cu un brâu de aur.[q] 14 Capul şi părul Îi erau albe ca lâna albă sau ca zăpada,[r] ochii Îi erau ca flacăra focului,[s] 15 picioarele Îi erau ca bronzul încins, ars în cuptor, iar glasul Îi era asemenea vuietului unor ape mari.[t] 16 În mâna dreaptă avea şapte stele, şi din gură Îi ieşea o sabie ascuţită, cu două tăişuri. Faţa Lui era ca soarele atunci când străluceşte în toată puterea lui.

17 Când L-am văzut, am căzut la picioarele Lui, ca mort. El Şi-a pus peste mine mâna dreaptă şi mi-a zis: „Nu te teme! Eu sunt Cel Dintâi şi Cel De Pe Urmă, 18 Cel Viu! Am fost mort, dar iată că sunt viu în vecii vecilor! Eu am cheile morţii şi ale Locuinţei Morţilor[u]! 19 Aşadar, scrie ce ai văzut, ce este acum şi ce urmează[v] să se întâmple după acestea! 20 Cât despre taina[w] celor şapte stele pe care le-ai văzut în mâna Mea dreaptă şi a celor şapte sfeşnice de aur, cele şapte stele sunt îngerii celor şapte biserici, iar cele şapte sfeşnice sunt cele şapte biserici.

Prologue

1 The revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave(A) him to show his servants what must soon take place.(B) He made it known by sending his angel(C) to his servant John,(D) 2 who testifies to everything he saw—that is, the word of God(E) and the testimony of Jesus Christ.(F) 3 Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it,(G) because the time is near.(H)

Greetings and Doxology

4 John,

To the seven churches(I) in the province of Asia:

Grace and peace to you(J) from him who is, and who was, and who is to come,(K) and from the seven spirits[a](L) before his throne, 5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness,(M) the firstborn from the dead,(N) and the ruler of the kings of the earth.(O)

To him who loves us(P) and has freed us from our sins by his blood,(Q) 6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests(R) to serve his God and Father(S)—to him be glory and power for ever and ever! Amen.(T)

7 “Look, he is coming with the clouds,”[b](U)
    and “every eye will see him,
even those who pierced him”;(V)
    and all peoples on earth “will mourn(W) because of him.”[c]
So shall it be! Amen.

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,”(X) says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come,(Y) the Almighty.”(Z)

John’s Vision of Christ

9 I, John,(AA) your brother and companion in the suffering(AB) and kingdom(AC) and patient endurance(AD) that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God(AE) and the testimony of Jesus.(AF) 10 On the Lord’s Day(AG) I was in the Spirit,(AH) and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet,(AI) 11 which said: “Write on a scroll what you see(AJ) and send it to the seven churches:(AK) to Ephesus,(AL) Smyrna,(AM) Pergamum,(AN) Thyatira,(AO) Sardis,(AP) Philadelphia(AQ) and Laodicea.”(AR)

12 I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lampstands,(AS) 13 and among the lampstands(AT) was someone like a son of man,[d](AU) dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet(AV) and with a golden sash around his chest.(AW) 14 The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire.(AX) 15 His feet were like bronze glowing in a furnace,(AY) and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters.(AZ) 16 In his right hand he held seven stars,(BA) and coming out of his mouth was a sharp, double-edged sword.(BB) His face was like the sun(BC) shining in all its brilliance.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet(BD) as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me(BE) and said: “Do not be afraid.(BF) I am the First and the Last.(BG) 18 I am the Living One; I was dead,(BH) and now look, I am alive for ever and ever!(BI) And I hold the keys of death and Hades.(BJ)

19 “Write, therefore, what you have seen,(BK) what is now and what will take place later. 20 The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand(BL) and of the seven golden lampstands(BM) is this: The seven stars are the angels[e] of the seven churches,(BN) and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.(BO)

1 耶稣基督的启示，就是　神赐给他，叫他把快要发生的事指示他的众仆人。他就差派天使显示给他的仆人约翰。 2 约翰把　神的道，和耶稣基督的见证，凡是自己所看见的，都见证出来了。 3 读这书上预言的人，和那些听见这预言并且遵守书中记载的人，都是有福的！因为时候近了。

问候七教会

4 约翰写信给在亚西亚的七个教会。愿恩惠平安，从那位今在、昔在、以后要来的　神，从他宝座前的七灵， 5 又从那信实的见证人、死人中首先复生的、地上众君王的统治者耶稣基督临到你们。

他爱我们，用自己的血把我们从我们的罪中释放出来， 6 又使我们成为国度，作他父　神的祭司。愿荣耀权能都归给他，直到永永远远。阿们。

7 看哪，他驾着云降临，

每一个人都要看见他，

连那些刺过他的人也要看见他，

地上的万族都要因他哀号。

12 我转过身来要看看那跟我说话的声音是谁发的；一转过来，就看见七个金灯台。 13 灯台中间有一位好象人子的，身上穿著直垂到脚的长衣，胸间束着金带。 14 他的头和头发像白羊毛、像雪一样洁白，他的眼睛好象火焰， 15 他的两脚好象在炉中精炼过的发光的铜，他的声音好象众水的声音。 16 他的右手拿着七星，有一把两刃的利剑从他口中吐出来；他的脸发光好象正午的烈日。

17 我看见了他，就仆倒在他脚前，像死了一样。他用右手按着我，说：“不要怕！我是首先的，我是末后的， 18 又是永活的；我曾经死过，看哪，现在又活着，直活到永永远远，并且拿着死亡和阴间的钥匙。 19 所以，你要把所看见的，现在的，和今后将要发生的事都写下来。 20 你所看见在我右手中的七星和七个金灯台的奥秘就是这样：七星是七个教会的使者，七灯台是七个教会。”
