7 (A)Wherever I have gone about with all the sons of Israel, did I speak a word with one of the tribes of Israel, (B)which I commanded to shepherd My people Israel, saying, ‘Why have you not built Me a house of cedar?’”’
David’s House Will Be Established Forever
8 So now, thus you shall say to My servant David, ‘Thus says Yahweh of hosts, “(C)I Myself took you from the pasture, from following the sheep, (D)to be ruler over My people Israel. 9 (E)And I have been with you wherever you have gone and (F)have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a great name, like the name of the great men who are on the earth.

7 Wherever I have moved with all the Israelites,(A) did I ever say to any of their rulers whom I commanded to shepherd(B) my people Israel, “Why have you not built me a house(C) of cedar?(D)”’
8 “Now then, tell my servant David, ‘This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock,(E) and appointed you ruler(F) over my people Israel.(G) 9 I have been with you wherever you have gone,(H) and I have cut off all your enemies from before you.(I) Now I will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men on earth.(J)
