Chuẩn Bị Cho Việc Rước Rương Giao Ước vào Giê-ru-sa-lem
15 Ða-vít xây các cung điện cho ông ở trong Thành Ða-vít. Ông chuẩn bị một nơi để đặt Rương của Ðức Chúa Trời và dựng một cái lều cho Rương ấy. 2 Bấy giờ Ða-vít nói, “Không ai được khiêng Rương của Ðức Chúa Trời, ngoại trừ người Lê-vi, vì Chúa đã chọn họ để khiêng Rương của Ðức Chúa Trời và phục vụ Ngài đời đời.”
3 Ða-vít triệu tập toàn dân I-sơ-ra-ên về Giê-ru-sa-lem để rước Rương của Chúa vào trong chỗ đã chuẩn bị cho Rương Thánh.
4 Ða-vít triệu tập các con cháu của A-rôn và người Lê-vi lại.
5 Trong vòng con cháu của Kê-hát có U-ri-ên làm thủ lãnh, với một trăm hai mươi người bà con của ông.
6 Trong vòng con cháu của Mê-ra-ri có A-sa-gia làm thủ lãnh, với hai trăm hai mươi người bà con của ông.
7 Trong vòng con cháu của Ghẹt-sôm có Giô-ên làm thủ lãnh, với một trăm ba mươi người bà con của ông.
8 Trong vòng con cháu của Ê-li-xa-phan có Sê-ma-gia làm thủ lãnh, với hai trăm người bà con của ông.
9 Trong vòng con cháu của Hếp-rôn có Ê-li-ên làm thủ lãnh, với tám mươi người bà con của ông.
10 Trong vòng con cháu của U-xi-ên có Am-mi-na-đáp làm thủ lãnh, với một trăm mười hai người bà con của ông.
11 Ða-vít triệu tập hai vị tư tế Xa-đốc và A-bi-a-tha, cùng các thủ lãnh của người Lê-vi là U-ri-ên, A-sa-gia, Giô-ên, Sê-ma-gia, Ê-li-ên, và Am-mi-na-đáp đến. 12 Ông nói với họ, “Quý vị là thủ lãnh các thị tộc của người Lê-vi, hãy làm cho quý vị ra thánh, tức chính quý vị và bà con của quý vị, để quý vị có thể khiêng Rương của Chúa, Ðức Chúa Trời của I-sơ-ra-ên, vào chỗ tôi đã chuẩn bị cho Rương ấy. 13 Vì trước đây quý vị đã không làm điều đó, nên Chúa, Ðức Chúa Trời chúng ta, đã nổi giận đối với chúng ta, vì chúng ta đã không tôn kính Ngài đúng theo lễ chế phải làm.” 14 Vậy các tư tế và những người Lê-vi thánh hóa chính họ để có thể khiêng Rương của Chúa, Ðức Chúa Trời của I-sơ-ra-ên. 15 Người Lê-vi dùng các đòn khiêng để khiêng Rương của Ðức Chúa Trời trên vai, y như lời Chúa đã truyền cho Môi-se.
16 Ða-vít cũng truyền cho các thủ lãnh người Lê-vi chỉ định những người trong bà con của họ vào ban thánh nhạc để ca hát và sử dụng các nhạc khí, các hạc cầm, các đàn lia, và các khánh chiêng mà phụ họa với ca đoàn khi họ cất tiếng lớn vui vẻ ca ngợi. 17 Vì thế người Lê-vi chỉ định Hê-man con của Giô-ên; trong vòng bà con của ông ấy họ chỉ định A-sáp con của Bê-rê-ki-a; trong vòng các con cháu của Mê-ra-ri bà con của họ, họ chỉ định Ê-than con của Cút-sa-gia. 18 Trong vòng bà con của họ, họ cũng chỉ định những người vào ban nhạc ở cấp bậc thứ nhì gồm Xa-cha-ri-a, Gia-a-xi-ên, Sê-mi-ra-mốt, Giê-hi-ên, Un-ni, Ê-li-áp, Bê-na-gia, Ma-a-sê-gia, Mát-ti-thi-a, Ê-li-phê-lê-hu, Mít-nê-gia, và hai người giữ cửa là Ô-bết Ê-đôm và Giê-i-ên.
19 Những người hát thánh ca như Hê-man, A-sáp, và Ê-than được giao thêm trách nhiệm sử dụng khánh chiêng bằng đồng. 20 Xa-cha-ri-a, A-xi-ên, Sê-mi-ra-mốt, Giê-hi-ên, Un-ni, Ê-li-áp, Ma-a-sê-gia, và Bê-na-gia sử dụng hạc cầm hòa theo giọng nữ. 21 Mát-ti-thi-a, Ê-li-phê-lê-hu, Mít-nê-gia, Ô-bết Ê-đôm, Giê-i-ên, và A-xa-xi-a sử dụng đàn lia theo điệu Sê-mi-nít. 22 Kê-na-ni-a được lập làm nhạc trưởng của người Lê-vi trong lãnh vực âm nhạc vì ông là nhạc sư. 23 Bê-rê-ki-a và Ên-ca-na là hai người canh gác Rương Thánh. 24 Các vị tư tế gồm Sê-ba-ni-a, Giô-sa-phát, Nê-tha-nên, A-ma-sai, Xa-cha-ri-a, Bê-na-gia, và Ê-li-ê-xe có nhiệm vụ thổi kèn trước Rương của Ðức Chúa Trời. 25 Vậy Ða-vít, các vị trưởng lão của I-sơ-ra-ên, và các vị chỉ huy hàng ngàn quân đi lên rước Rương Giao Ước của Chúa từ nhà của Ô-bết Ê-đôm về với lòng hớn hở vui mừng. 26 Quả thật Ðức Chúa Trời có vùa giúp người Lê-vi khi họ khiêng Rương Giao Ước của Chúa, nên họ dâng bảy con bò đực và bảy con chiên đực làm của lễ thiêu. 27 Ða-vít mặc một áo choàng bằng vải gai mịn, giống như mọi người Lê-vi khiêng Rương Thánh, những người trong ca đoàn, và Kê-na-ni-a người điều khiển âm nhạc. Ngoài ra Ða-vít còn mặc thêm một ê-phót bằng vải gai mịn. 28 Vậy toàn dân I-sơ-ra-ên rước Rương Giao Ước của Chúa đi lên với tiếng hò reo vui vẻ hòa lẫn với tiếng tù và, tiếng kèn, tiếng khánh chiêng, tiếng hạc cầm, và tiếng đàn lia tấu nhạc vang lừng.
29 Thế nhưng khi Rương Giao Ước của Chúa vào trong Thành Ða-vít, Mi-khanh con gái của Sau-lơ nhìn qua cửa sổ và trông thấy Vua Ða-vít đang nhảy nhót và vui mừng, lòng bà nảy sinh ý nghĩ coi thường ông.

The Ark Brought to Jerusalem(A)
15 After David had constructed buildings for himself in the City of David, he prepared(B) a place for the ark of God and pitched(C) a tent for it. 2 Then David said, “No one but the Levites(D) may carry(E) the ark of God, because the Lord chose them to carry the ark of the Lord and to minister(F) before him forever.”
3 David assembled all Israel(G) in Jerusalem to bring up the ark of the Lord to the place he had prepared for it. 4 He called together the descendants of Aaron and the Levites:(H)
5 From the descendants of Kohath,
Uriel(I) the leader and 120 relatives;
6 from the descendants of Merari,
Asaiah the leader and 220 relatives;
7 from the descendants of Gershon,[a]
Joel the leader and 130 relatives;
8 from the descendants of Elizaphan,(J)
Shemaiah the leader and 200 relatives;
9 from the descendants of Hebron,(K)
Eliel the leader and 80 relatives;
10 from the descendants of Uzziel,
Amminadab the leader and 112 relatives.
11 Then David summoned Zadok(L) and Abiathar(M) the priests, and Uriel, Asaiah, Joel, Shemaiah, Eliel and Amminadab the Levites. 12 He said to them, “You are the heads of the Levitical families; you and your fellow Levites are to consecrate(N) yourselves and bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel, to the place I have prepared for it. 13 It was because you, the Levites,(O) did not bring it up the first time that the Lord our God broke out in anger against us.(P) We did not inquire of him about how to do it in the prescribed way.(Q)” 14 So the priests and Levites consecrated themselves in order to bring up the ark of the Lord, the God of Israel. 15 And the Levites carried the ark of God with the poles on their shoulders, as Moses had commanded(R) in accordance with the word of the Lord.(S)
16 David(T) told the leaders of the Levites(U) to appoint their fellow Levites as musicians(V) to make a joyful sound with musical instruments: lyres, harps and cymbals.(W)
17 So the Levites appointed Heman(X) son of Joel; from his relatives, Asaph(Y) son of Berekiah; and from their relatives the Merarites,(Z) Ethan son of Kushaiah; 18 and with them their relatives next in rank: Zechariah,[b] Jaaziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom(AA) and Jeiel,[c] the gatekeepers.
19 The musicians Heman,(AB) Asaph and Ethan were to sound the bronze cymbals; 20 Zechariah, Jaaziel,[d] Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Unni, Eliab, Maaseiah and Benaiah were to play the lyres according to alamoth,[e] 21 and Mattithiah, Eliphelehu, Mikneiah, Obed-Edom, Jeiel and Azaziah were to play the harps, directing according to sheminith.[f] 22 Kenaniah the head Levite was in charge of the singing; that was his responsibility because he was skillful at it.
23 Berekiah and Elkanah were to be doorkeepers for the ark. 24 Shebaniah, Joshaphat, Nethanel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah and Eliezer the priests were to blow trumpets(AC) before the ark of God. Obed-Edom and Jehiah were also to be doorkeepers for the ark.
25 So David and the elders of Israel and the commanders of units of a thousand went to bring up the ark(AD) of the covenant of the Lord from the house of Obed-Edom, with rejoicing. 26 Because God had helped the Levites who were carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord, seven bulls and seven rams(AE) were sacrificed. 27 Now David was clothed in a robe of fine linen, as were all the Levites who were carrying the ark, and as were the musicians, and Kenaniah, who was in charge of the singing of the choirs. David also wore a linen ephod.(AF) 28 So all Israel(AG) brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouts,(AH) with the sounding of rams’ horns(AI) and trumpets, and of cymbals, and the playing of lyres and harps.
29 As the ark of the covenant of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David dancing and celebrating, she despised him in her heart.
