Psalm 15
1 Een lied van David.
Heer, wie mag in uw tent komen?
Wie mag wonen op uw heilige berg?
2 Iemand die zijn best doet om te leven zoals U het wil,
die van de waarheid houdt
3 en geen slechte dingen zegt over anderen
en die zijn vrienden geen kwaad doet.
4 Die niet omgaat met slechte mensen,
maar respect heeft voor mensen die ontzag hebben voor U.
Die altijd doet wat hij heeft beloofd,
ook als dat in zijn eigen nadeel is.
5 Die geld uitleent zonder dat hij daar rente voor vraagt
en die zich niet laat omkopen.
Met iemand die zó leeft, zal het altijd goed gaan.

A psalm of David.
15 Who can live in your tent, Lord?
Who can dwell on your holy mountain?
2 The person who
lives free of blame,
does what is right,
and speaks the truth sincerely;
3 who does no damage with their talk,
does no harm to a friend,
doesn’t insult a neighbor;
4 someone who despises
those who act wickedly,
but who honors those
who honor the Lord;
someone who keeps their promise even when it hurts;
5 someone who doesn’t lend money with interest,
who won’t accept a bribe against any innocent person.
Whoever does these things will never stumble.

2 The one whose walk is blameless,(D)
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth(E) from their heart;
3 whose tongue utters no slander,(F)
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
4 who despises a vile person
but honors(G) those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath(H) even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
5 who lends money to the poor without interest;(I)
who does not accept a bribe(J) against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken.(K)
