蒙　神悦纳的事奉

13 你们务要常存弟兄相爱的心。 ²不可忘记用爱心接待旅客，因为曾经有人这样做，在无意中接待了天使。 ³要记念受监禁的人，好像与他们同受监禁；要记念受虐待的人，好像你们也亲身受虐待一样。 ⁴婚姻，人人都当尊重，共眠的床也不可污秽，因为淫乱和通奸的人，　神必审判。 ⁵不可贪爱钱财，要以自己所有的为满足，因为　神曾说：“我绝不撇下你，也绝不丢弃你。” ⁶所以，我们可以勇敢地说：

“主是我的帮助，
我必不惧怕。
人能把我怎么样呢？”

⁷从前引导你们、传　神的道给你们的人，你们要记念他们，效法他们的信心，回顾他们为人的结局。 ⁸耶稣基督昨日、今日，一直到永远，是一样的。 ⁹你们不要被种种怪异的教训勾引了去，因为人的心靠恩典得坚固才是好的，并不是靠饮食。那在饮食上用心的，从来没有得到益处。 ¹⁰我们有一祭坛，上面的祭物是那些在会幕中供职的人无权可吃的。 ¹¹因为牲畜的血被大祭司带入至圣所作赎罪祭，牲畜的体却在营外烧掉。 ¹²所以，耶稣也在城门外受苦，为要用自己的血使百姓成圣。 ¹³这样，我们也当走出营外，到他那里去，忍受他所受的凌辱。 ¹⁴在这里，我们本没有永存的城，而是在寻求那将要来的城。 ¹⁵我们应当藉着耶稣，常常以颂赞为祭献给　神，这是那宣认他名的人嘴唇所结的果子。 ¹⁶只是不可忘记行善和分享，因为这样的祭物是　神所喜悦的。

¹⁷你们要服从那些引导你们的，并且要顺服，因为他们为你们的灵魂时刻警醒，像在　神面前交账的人，让他们在交账的时候有喜乐，而不是叹息，叹息就对你们无益了。

¹⁸请你们为我们祷告；因为我们自觉良心无亏，愿意凡事按正道而行。 ¹⁹我更求你们为我祷告，使我快些回到你们那里去。

²⁰但愿赐平安^[a]的　神，就是那凭永约之血，把群羊的大牧人—我们主耶稣从死人中领出来的　神， ²¹在各样善事上装备你们，使你们遵行他的旨意；又藉着耶稣基督在我们^[b]里面行他所喜悦的事。愿荣耀归给他，直到永永远远^[c]。阿们！

²²弟兄们，我简略地写信给你们，希望你们听我劝勉的话。 ²³你们该知道，我们的弟兄提摩太已经重获自由了；他若很快就来，我必同他去见你们。

Sacrifices Pleasing to God

13 Let ^(A)brotherly love continue. ²^(B)Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby ^(C)some have entertained angels unawares. ³^(D)Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you also are in the body. ⁴^(E)Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled, for God will judge ^(F)the sexually immoral and adulterous. ⁵Keep your life ^(G)free from love of money, and ^(H)be content with what you have, for he has said, ^(I)“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” ⁶So we can confidently say,

^(J)“The Lord is my helper;
^(K)I will not fear;
what can man do to me?”

⁷Remember ^(L)your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and ^(M)imitate their faith. ⁸Jesus Christ is ^(N)the same yesterday and today and forever. ⁹Do not be ^(O)led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, ^(P)not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them. ¹⁰We have an altar ^(Q)from which those who serve the tent^[a] have no right to eat. ¹¹For ^(R)the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the holy places by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned ^(S)outside the camp. ¹²So Jesus also ^(T)suffered ^(U)outside the gate in order to sanctify the people ^(V)through his own blood. ¹³Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear ^(W)the reproach he endured. ¹⁴For ^(X)here we have no lasting city, but we seek the city that is to come. ¹⁵^(Y)Through him then let us continually offer up ^(Z)a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, ^(AA)the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name. ¹⁶Do not neglect to do good and ^(AB)to share what you have, for such ^(AC)sacrifices are pleasing to God.

¹⁷Obey ^(AD)your leaders and submit to them, ^(AE)for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to ^(AF)give an account. ^(AG)Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.

¹⁸^(AH)Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honorably in all things. ¹⁹I urge you the more earnestly to do this in order ^(AI)that I may be restored to you the sooner.

Benediction

²⁰Now ^(AJ)may the God of peace ^(AK)who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, ^(AL)the great shepherd of the sheep, by ^(AM)the blood of the eternal covenant, ²¹^(AN)equip you with everything good that you may do his will, ^(AO)working in us^[b] that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, ^(AP)to whom be glory forever and ever. Concluding Exhortations

13 Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters.^(A) ²Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers,^(B) for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.^(C) ³Continue to remember those in prison^(D) as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

⁴Marriage should be honored by all,^(E) and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.^(F) ⁵Keep your lives free from the love of money^(G) and be content with what you have,^(H) because God has said,

“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you.”^[a]^(I)

⁶So we say with confidence,

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?”^[b]^(J)

⁷Remember your leaders,^(K) who spoke the word of God^(L) to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate^(M) their faith. ⁸Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.^(N)

⁹Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings.^(O) It is good for our hearts to be strengthened^(P) by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods,^(Q) which is of no benefit to those who do so.^(R) ¹⁰We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle^(S) have no right to eat.^(T)

¹¹The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering,^(U) but the bodies are burned outside the camp.^(V) ¹²And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate^(W) to make the people holy^(X) through his own blood.^(Y) ¹³Let us, then, go to him^(Z) outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore.^(AA) ¹⁴For here we do not have an enduring city,^(AB) but we are looking for the city that is to come.^(AC)

¹⁵Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice^(AD) of praise—the fruit of lips^(AE) that openly profess his name. ¹⁶And do not forget to do good and to share with others,^(AF) for with such sacrifices^(AG) God is pleased.

¹⁷Have confidence in your leaders^(AH) and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you^(AI) as those who must give an account. Do this so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no benefit to you.

¹⁸Pray for us.^(AJ) We are sure that we have a clear conscience^(AK) and desire to live honorably in every way. ¹⁹I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon.^(AL)

Benediction and Final Greetings

²⁰Now may the God of peace,^(AM) who through the blood of the eternal covenant^(AN) brought back from the dead^(AO) our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep,^(AP) ²¹equip you with everything good for doing his will,^(AQ) and may he work in us^(AR) what is pleasing to him,^(AS) through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. ²²Brothers and sisters, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for in fact I have written to you quite briefly.^(AU)

²³I want you to know that our brother Timothy^(AV) has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you.

⁵Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, ^(G)“I will never leave you nor forsake you.” ⁶So we may boldly say:

⁷Remember those who ^[a]rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. ⁸Jesus Christ is ^(I)the same yesterday, today, and forever. ⁹Do not be carried ^[b]about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them.

¹⁰We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. ¹¹For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp. ¹²Therefore Jesus also, that He might ^[c]sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. ¹³Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing ^(J)His reproach. ¹⁴For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. ¹⁵^(K)Therefore by Him let us continually offer ^(L)the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, ^(M)the fruit of our lips, ^[d]giving thanks to His name. ¹⁶^(N)But do not forget to do good and to share, for ^(O)with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
