犹大王约坦
27 约坦二十五岁登基，在耶路撒冷执政十六年。他母亲叫耶路莎，是撒督的女儿。 2 约坦效法他父亲乌西雅，做耶和华视为正的事，只是没有进耶和华的殿。民众仍继续败坏。 3 约坦建造耶和华殿的上门，大力修建俄斐勒的城墙。 4 他还在犹大山区建造城邑，在树林中建造营寨和瞭望塔。 5 他与亚扪人的王交战，打败了他们。在以后的三年中，亚扪人每年进贡三点四吨银子、小麦和大麦各二百二十万公升。 6 约坦日渐强盛，因为他坚守他的上帝耶和华的道。 7 约坦其他的事迹、所有战事和作为都记在以色列和犹大的列王史上。 8 他二十五岁登基，在耶路撒冷执政十六年。 9 约坦与祖先同眠后，葬在大卫城。他儿子亚哈斯继位。

27 De veinticinco años era Jotam cuando comenzó a reinar, y dieciséis años reinó en Jerusalén. El nombre de su madre fue Jerusa, hija de Sadoc. 2 E hizo lo recto ante los ojos de Jehová, conforme a todas las cosas que había hecho Uzías su padre, salvo que no entró en el santuario de Jehová. Pero el pueblo continuaba corrompiéndose. 3 Edificó él la puerta mayor de la casa de Jehová, y sobre el muro de la fortaleza edificó mucho. 4 Además edificó ciudades en las montañas de Judá, y construyó fortalezas y torres en los bosques. 5 También tuvo él guerra con el rey de los hijos de Amón, a los cuales venció; y le dieron los hijos de Amón en aquel año cien talentos de plata, diez mil coros de trigo, y diez mil de cebada. Esto le dieron los hijos de Amón, y lo mismo en el segundo año y en el tercero. 6 Así que Jotam se hizo fuerte, porque preparó sus caminos delante de Jehová su Dios. 7 Los demás hechos de Jotam, y todas sus guerras, y sus caminos, he aquí están escritos en el libro de los reyes de Israel y de Judá. 8 Cuando comenzó a reinar era de veinticinco años, y dieciséis reinó en Jerusalén. 9 Y durmió Jotam con sus padres, y lo sepultaron en la ciudad de David; y reinó en su lugar Acaz su hijo.

27 A son of twenty and five years [is] Jotham in his reigning, and sixteen years he hath reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jerushah daughter of Zadok.
2 And he doth that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah, according to all that Uzziah his father did; only, he hath not come in unto the temple of Jehovah; and again are the people doing corruptly.
3 He hath built the upper gate of the house of Jehovah, and in the wall of Ophel he hath built abundantly;
4 and cities he hath built in the hill-country of Judah, and in the forests he hath built palaces and towers.
5 And he hath fought with the king of the sons of Ammon, and prevaileth over them, and the sons of Ammon give to him in that year a hundred talents of silver, and ten thousand cors of wheat, and of barley ten thousand; this have the sons of Ammon returned to him both in the second year, and in the third.
6 And Jotham doth strengthen himself, for he hath prepared his ways before Jehovah his God.
7 And the rest of the matters of Jotham, and all his battles, and his ways, lo, they are written on the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.
8 A son of twenty and five years was he in his reigning, and sixteen years he hath reigned in Jerusalem;
9 and Jotham lieth with his fathers, and they bury him in the city of David, and reign doth Ahaz his son in his stead.

Jotham King of Judah(A)
27 Jotham(B) was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. His mother’s name was Jerusha daughter of Zadok. 2 He did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, just as his father Uzziah had done, but unlike him he did not enter the temple of the Lord. The people, however, continued their corrupt practices. 3 Jotham rebuilt the Upper Gate of the temple of the Lord and did extensive work on the wall at the hill of Ophel.(C) 4 He built towns in the hill country of Judah and forts and towers in the wooded areas.
5 Jotham waged war against the king of the Ammonites(D) and conquered them. That year the Ammonites paid him a hundred talents[a] of silver, ten thousand cors[b] of wheat and ten thousand cors[c] of barley. The Ammonites brought him the same amount also in the second and third years.
6 Jotham grew powerful(E) because he walked steadfastly before the Lord his God.
7 The other events in Jotham’s reign, including all his wars and the other things he did, are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah. 8 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem sixteen years. 9 Jotham rested with his ancestors and was buried in the City of David. And Ahaz his son succeeded him as king.
