Descendientes de Benjamín(A)

Los hijos de Benjamín fueron:

Bela, el primero;

Asbel, el segundo;

Ajará, el tercero;

Noja, el cuarto,

y Rafá, el quinto.

Los hijos de Bela fueron Adar, Guerá, Abiud, Abisúa, Naamán, Ajoaj, Guerá, Sefufán e Hiram.

Los hijos de Aod, jefes de las familias patriarcales que habitaban en Gueba y que luego se trasladaron a Manajat, fueron Naamán, Ahías y Guerá, padre de Uza y de Ajiud. Guerá fue el que los trasladó a Manajat.

Después de que Sajarayin repudió a sus esposas Jusín y Bará, tuvo otros hijos en los campos de Moab. Con su esposa Hodes tuvo a Jobab, Sibia, Mesá, Malcán, 10 Jeús, Saquías y Mirma. Estos hijos suyos fueron jefes de familias patriarcales.

11 Con Jusín tuvo a Abitob y a Elpal.

12 Los hijos de Elpal fueron Éber, Misán y Sémed. Sémed edificó las ciudades de Ono y Lod, con sus aldeas; 13 Beriá y Semá fueron jefes de las familias patriarcales de los habitantes de Ayalón, y expulsaron a los habitantes de Gat.

14 Los hijos de Beriá fueron Ajío, Sasac, Jeremot, 15 Zebadías, Arad, Ader, 16 Micael, Ispá y Yojá.

17 Zebadías, Mesulán, Hizqui, Éber, 18 Ismeray, Jezlías y Jobab fueron los hijos de Elpal.

19 Yaquín, Zicrí, Zabdí, 20 Elienay, Ziletay, Eliel, 21 Adaías, Beraías y Simrat fueron los hijos de Simí.

22 Ispán, Éber, Eliel, 23 Abdón, Zicrí, Janán, 24 Jananías, Elam, Anatotías, 25 Ifdaías y Peniel fueron los hijos de Sasac.

26 Samseray, Seharías, Atalías, 27 Jaresías, Elías y Zicrí fueron los hijos de Jeroán. 28 Según sus registros genealógicos, estos fueron jefes de familias patriarcales y habitaron en Jerusalén.

29 Jehiel,[a] padre de Gabaón, vivía en Gabaón. Su esposa se llamaba Macá. 30 Sus hijos fueron Abdón, el primogénito; Zur, Quis, Baal, Ner,[b] Nadab, 31 Guedor, Ajío, Zéquer 32 y Miclot, padre de Simá. Estos vivían también en Jerusalén con sus hermanos.

33 Ner fue el padre de Quis, y este fue padre de Saúl, quien fue padre de Jonatán, Malquisúa, Abinadab y Esbaal.[c]

34 El hijo de Jonatán fue Meribaal, padre de Micaías.

35 Los hijos de Micaías fueron Pitón, Mélec, Tarea y Acaz.

36 Acaz fue padre de Joada, y este lo fue de Alemet, Azmávet y Zimri. Zimri fue el padre de Mosá; 37 Mosá fue el padre de Biná, y este lo fue de Rafá; Rafá fue el padre de Elasá, y este lo fue de Azel.

38 Azel tuvo seis hijos, cuyos nombres fueron Azricán, Bocrú, Ismael, Searías, Abdías y Janán. Estos fueron los hijos de Azel.

39 Los hijos de su hermano Ésec fueron:

Ulán, el primero;

Jeús, el segundo,

y Elifelet, el tercero.

40 Los hijos de Ulán fueron guerreros valientes, diestros con el arco. Tuvieron muchos hijos y nietos: ciento cincuenta en total.

Todos estos fueron los descendientes de Benjamín.

The Genealogy of Saul the Benjamite(A)

Benjamin(B) was the father of Bela his firstborn,

Ashbel the second son, Aharah the third,

Nohah the fourth and Rapha the fifth.

The sons of Bela were:

Addar,(C) Gera, Abihud,[a] Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,(D) Gera, Shephuphan and Huram.

These were the descendants of Ehud,(E) who were heads of families of those living in Geba and were deported to Manahath:

Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera, who deported them and who was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.

Sons were born to Shaharaim in Moab after he had divorced his wives Hushim and Baara. By his wife Hodesh he had Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malkam, 10 Jeuz, Sakia and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of families. 11 By Hushim he had Abitub and Elpaal.

12 The sons of Elpaal:

Eber, Misham, Shemed (who built Ono(F) and Lod with its surrounding villages), 13 and Beriah and Shema, who were heads of families of those living in Aijalon(G) and who drove out the inhabitants of Gath.(H)

14 Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth, 15 Zebadiah, Arad, Eder, 16 Michael, Ishpah and Joha were the sons of Beriah.

17 Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber, 18 Ishmerai, Izliah and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.

19 Jakim, Zikri, Zabdi, 20 Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel, 21 Adaiah, Beraiah and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.

22 Ishpan, Eber, Eliel, 23 Abdon, Zikri, Hanan, 24 Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah, 25 Iphdeiah and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.

26 Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah, 27 Jaareshiah, Elijah and Zikri were the sons of Jeroham.

28 All these were heads of families, chiefs as listed in their genealogy, and they lived in Jerusalem.

29 Jeiel[b] the father[c] of Gibeon lived in Gibeon.(I)

His wife’s name was Maakah, 30 and his firstborn son was Abdon, followed by Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner,[d] Nadab, 31 Gedor, Ahio, Zeker 32 and Mikloth, who was the father of Shimeah. They too lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.

33 Ner(J) was the father of Kish,(K) Kish the father of Saul(L), and Saul the father of Jonathan, Malki-Shua, Abinadab and Esh-Baal.[e](M)

34 The son of Jonathan:(N)

Merib-Baal,[f](O) who was the father of Micah.

35 The sons of Micah:

Pithon, Melek, Tarea and Ahaz.

36 Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah, Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth and Zimri, and Zimri was the father of Moza. 37 Moza was the father of Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son and Azel his son.

38 Azel had six sons, and these were their names:

Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

39 The sons of his brother Eshek:

Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second son and Eliphelet the third. 40 The sons of Ulam were brave warriors who could handle the bow. They had many sons and grandsons—150 in all.

All these were the descendants of Benjamin.(P)

Chapter 8

Benjamin. Benjamin was the father of Bela, his firstborn, Ashbel, his second, Aharah, his third, Nohah, his fourth, and Rapha, his fifth.

The sons of Bela were Addar, Gera, the father of Ehud,[a] Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah, Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram.

These were the sons of Ehud. They were the leaders of the ancestral clans of those who lived in Geba. They forced them to move to Manahath: Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera, who forced them to move. He was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.

Shaharaim had children in the land of Moab after he sent away Hushim and Baara, his wives. Through Hodesh, his wife, he was the father of Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam, 10 Jeuz, Sachia, and Mirmah. They were his sons and leaders of the ancestral clans.

11 Through Hushim he was the father of Abitub and Elpaal.

12 The sons of Elpaal were Eber, Misham, Shemed, who built Ono and Lod and the towns dependent upon them, 13 Beriah, and Shema. They were the leaders of the ancestral clans of those who lived in Aijalon and who drove out the inhabitants of Gath.

14 Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth, 15 Zebadiah, Arad, Eder, 16 Michael, Ispah, and Joha were the sons of Beriah.

17 Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber, 18 Ishmerai, Izliah, and Jobab were the sons of Elpaal.

19 Jakim, Zichri, Zabdi, 20 Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel, 21 Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.

22 Ishpan, Eber, Eliel, 23 Abdon, Zichri, Hanan, 24 Hananiah, Elam, Antothijah, 25 Iphdeiah, and Penuel were the sons of Shashak.

26 Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah, 27 Jaareshiah, Elijah, and Zichri were the sons of Jeroham. 28 These were the leaders of the ancestral clans by their leader. They dwelt in Jerusalem.

29 Now the father of Gibeon, whose wife’s name was Maacah, lived in Gibeon.[b] 30 His firstborn son was Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab, 31 Gedor, Ahio, Zecheriah, 32 and Mikloth, who became the father of Shimeah. They dwelt near their brethren in Jerusalem, living with them.

33 Ner was the father of Kish, and Kish was the father of Saul.

Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.

34 The son of Jonathan was Meri-baal, and Meri-baal was the father of Micah.

35 The sons of Micah were Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.

36 Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah. Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri.

Zimri was the father of Moza.

37 Moza was the father of Binea, Raphah was his son, Eleasah was his son, and Azel was his son.

38 Azel had six sons whose names were Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All of these were sons of Azel.

39 The sons of Eshek, his brother, were Ulam, his firstborn, Jeush, his second, and Eliphelet, his third.

40 The sons of Ulam were brave warriors, archers. They had many sons and grandsons, one hundred and fifty in all. These were all of the descendants of Benjamin.
