9 掃羅仍然向主的門徒口吐威嚇凶殺的話，去見大祭司， 2 求文書給大馬士革的各會堂，若是找著信奉這道的人，無論男女，都准他捆綁帶到耶路撒冷。 3 掃羅行路，將到大馬士革，忽然從天上發光，四面照著他。 4 他就仆倒在地，聽見有聲音對他說：「掃羅，掃羅，你為什麼逼迫我？」 5 他說：「主啊，你是誰？」主說：「我就是你所逼迫的耶穌。 6 起來！進城去，你所當做的事，必有人告訴你。」 7 同行的人站在那裡，說不出話來，聽見聲音，卻看不見人。 8 掃羅從地上起來，睜開眼睛，竟不能看見什麼。有人拉他的手，領他進了大馬士革。 9 三日不能看見，也不吃也不喝。
10 當下，在大馬士革有一個門徒，名叫亞拿尼亞。主在異象中對他說：「亞拿尼亞！」他說：「主，我在這裡。」 11 主對他說：「起來！往直街去，在猶大的家裡訪問一個大數人，名叫掃羅。他正禱告， 12 又看見了一個人，名叫亞拿尼亞，進來按手在他身上，叫他能看見。」 13 亞拿尼亞回答說：「主啊，我聽見許多人說這人怎樣在耶路撒冷多多苦害你的聖徒， 14 並且他在這裡有從祭司長得來的權柄，捆綁一切求告你名的人。」 15 主對亞拿尼亞說：「你只管去！他是我所揀選的器皿，要在外邦人和君王並以色列人面前宣揚我的名。 16 我也要指示他，為我的名必須受許多的苦難。」
亞拿尼亞給掃羅施洗
17 亞拿尼亞就去了，進入那家，把手按在掃羅身上，說：「兄弟掃羅，在你來的路上向你顯現的主，就是耶穌，打發我來叫你能看見，又被聖靈充滿。」 18 掃羅的眼睛上好像有鱗立刻掉下來，他就能看見。於是起來受了洗， 19 吃過飯就健壯了。
掃羅證明耶穌是基督
掃羅和大馬士革的門徒同住了些日子， 20 就在各會堂裡宣傳耶穌，說他是神的兒子。 21 凡聽見的人都驚奇，說：「在耶路撒冷殘害求告這名的，不是這人嗎？並且他到這裡來，特要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長那裡！」 22 但掃羅越發有能力，駁倒住大馬士革的猶太人，證明耶穌是基督。
猶太人謀殺掃羅
23 過了好些日子，猶太人商議要殺掃羅， 24 但他們的計謀被掃羅知道了。他們又晝夜在城門守候，要殺他。 25 他的門徒就在夜間用筐子把他從城牆上縋下去。 26 掃羅到了耶路撒冷，想與門徒結交，他們卻都怕他，不信他是門徒。 27 唯有巴拿巴接待他，領去見使徒，把他在路上怎麼看見主，主怎麼向他說話，他在大馬士革怎麼奉耶穌的名放膽傳道，都述說出來。 28 於是掃羅在耶路撒冷和門徒出入來往， 29 奉主的名放膽傳道，並與說希臘話的猶太人講論辯駁。他們卻想法子要殺他。
掃羅避害往大數去
30 弟兄們知道了，就送他下愷撒利亞，打發他往大數去。
31 那時，猶太、加利利、撒馬利亞各處的教會都得平安，被建立，凡事敬畏主，蒙聖靈的安慰，人數就增多了。
彼得醫治以尼雅
32 彼得周流四方的時候，也到了居住呂大的聖徒那裡。 33 遇見一個人名叫以尼雅，得了癱瘓，在褥子上躺臥八年。 34 彼得對他說：「以尼雅，耶穌基督醫好你了。起來，收拾你的褥子！」他就立刻起來了。 35 凡住呂大和沙崙的人都看見了他，就歸服主。
彼得使多加復活
36 在約帕有一個女徒，名叫大比大，翻希臘話就是多加[a]。她廣行善事，多施賙濟。 37 當時，她患病而死，有人把她洗了，停在樓上。 38 呂大原與約帕相近，門徒聽見彼得在那裡，就打發兩個人去見他，央求他說：「快到我們那裡去，不要耽延！」 39 彼得就起身和他們同去。到了，便有人領他上樓。眾寡婦都站在彼得旁邊哭，拿多加與她們同在時所做的裡衣外衣給他看。 40 彼得叫她們都出去，就跪下禱告，轉身對著死人說：「大比大，起來！」她就睜開眼睛，見了彼得，便坐起來。 41 彼得伸手扶她起來，叫眾聖徒和寡婦進去，把多加活活地交給他們。 42 這事傳遍了約帕，就有許多人信了主。 43 此後，彼得在約帕一個硝皮匠西門的家裡住了多日。

9 扫罗仍向主的门徒发恐吓凶杀的话。他到大祭司那里， 2 要求他发公函给大马士革各会堂，如果发现奉行这道的人，准他连男带女缉拿到耶路撒冷。 3 他快到大马士革的时候，忽然有光从天上向他四面照射。 4 他仆倒在地，听见有声音对他说：“扫罗，扫罗！你为甚么迫害我？” 5 他说：“主啊，你是谁？”主说：“我就是你所迫害的耶稣。 6 起来，进城去！你应当作的事，一定有人告诉你。” 7 同行的人，听见声音，却看不见人，只是目瞪口呆地站在那里。 8 扫罗从地上爬起来，睁开眼睛，却甚么也看不见。他们牵着他的手，领他进大马士革。 9 他三天都不能看见甚么，不吃也不喝。

扫罗逃脱犹太人的谋害
23 过了许多日子，犹太人商议要杀掉扫罗； 24 但他们的计谋给扫罗知道了。他们就在各城门日夜把守，要杀掉他。 25 于是他的门徒就趁夜用大篮子把他从城墙上缒下去。
26 扫罗到了耶路撒冷，想要接近门徒，但大家都怕他，不信他是个门徒。 27 只有巴拿巴接待他，带他去见使徒，把他怎样在路上看见主，主向他说话，和他怎样在大马士革奉耶稣的名放胆讲道，都讲了出来。 28 于是扫罗在耶路撒冷和门徒一同出入，奉主的名放胆讲道， 29 并且与讲希腊话的犹太人谈论辩驳，那些人却想下手杀他。 30 弟兄们知道了，就送他到该撒利亚，差他往大数去。

The Conversion of Saul
9 (A)Now [a]Saul, still (B)breathing [b]threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest, 2 and asked for (C)letters from him to (D)the synagogues at (E)Damascus, so that if he found any belonging to (F)the Way, both men and women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. 3 And as he was traveling, it happened that when he was approaching Damascus, (G)suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him; 4 and (H)falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” 5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” And He said, “I am Jesus whom you are persecuting, 6 but rise up and enter the city, and (I)it will be told you what you must do.” 7 And the men who traveled with him (J)stood speechless, (K)hearing the [c]voice but seeing no one. 8 And Saul got up from the ground, and (L)though his eyes were open, he [d]could see nothing. Leading him by the hand, they brought him into (M)Damascus. 9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.
10 Now there was a disciple at (N)Damascus named (O)Ananias, and the Lord said to him in (P)a vision, “Ananias.” And he said, “Here I am, Lord.” 11 And the Lord said to him, “Rise up and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for a man from (Q)Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, 12 and he has seen [e]in a vision a man named Ananias come in and (R)lay his hands on him, so that he might regain his sight.” 13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, (S)how much harm he did to (T)Your [f]saints at Jerusalem. 14 And here he (U)has authority from the chief priests to bind all who (V)call on Your name.” 15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for (W)he is a chosen [g]instrument of Mine, to bear My name before (X)the Gentiles and (Y)kings and the sons of Israel; 16 for (Z)I will show him how much he must suffer for My name.” 17 So Ananias departed and entered the house. And he (AA)laid his hands on him and said, “(AB)Brother Saul, the Lord sent me—that is Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you were coming—so that you may regain your sight and be (AC)filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he regained his sight, and he rose up and was baptized; 19 and he took food and was strengthened.
Saul Begins to Preach Christ
Now (AD)for several days he was with (AE)the disciples who were at Damascus, 20 and immediately he began to proclaim Jesus (AF)in the synagogues, [h]saying, “He is (AG)the Son of God.” 21 And all those hearing him continued to be astounded, and were saying, “Is this not the one who in Jerusalem (AH)destroyed those that (AI)called on this name, and who had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?” 22 But Saul kept increasing in strength and confounding the Jews who lived at Damascus by proving that this One is the [i]Christ.
23 And when (AJ)many days had elapsed, (AK)the Jews plotted together to put him to death, 24 but (AL)their plot became known to Saul. (AM)They were also watching the gates day and night so that they might put him to death; 25 but his disciples took him by night and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a large basket.
26 (AN)And when he came to Jerusalem, he was trying to associate with the disciples, [j]but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple. 27 But (AO)Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles and recounted to them how he had (AP)seen the Lord on the road, and that He had talked to him, and how (AQ)at Damascus he had (AR)spoken out boldly in the name of Jesus. 28 So he was with them, [k]moving about freely in Jerusalem, (AS)speaking out boldly in the name of the Lord. 29 And he was talking and arguing with the [l](AT)Hellenistic Jews, but they were attempting to put him to death. 30 But when (AU)the brothers learned of it, they brought him down to (AV)Caesarea and (AW)sent him away to (AX)Tarsus.
31 So (AY)the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria was having peace, being built up. And going on in the fear of the Lord and in the encouragement of the Holy Spirit, it continued to multiply.
Peter Heals Aeneas
32 Now it happened that as Peter was traveling through all those regions, he came down also to (AZ)the [m]saints who lived at [n](BA)Lydda. 33 And there he found a man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden eight years, for he was paralyzed. 34 And Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Rise up and make your bed.” Immediately he rose up. 35 And all who lived at [o](BB)Lydda and (BC)Sharon saw him, and they (BD)turned to the Lord.
Peter Raises Tabitha to Life
36 Now in (BE)Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (which translated is called [p]Dorcas). This woman was full of good works and charity which she continually did. 37 And it happened [q]at that time that she fell sick and died; and when they had washed her body, they laid it in an (BF)upper room. 38 Now since Lydda was near (BG)Joppa, (BH)the disciples, having heard that Peter was there, sent two men to him, pleading with him, “Do not delay in coming to us.” 39 So Peter arose and went with them. When he arrived, they brought him into the (BI)upper room; and all the (BJ)widows stood beside him, crying and showing all the [r]tunics and garments that Dorcas used to make while she was with them. 40 But Peter (BK)sent them all out and (BL)knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, “(BM)Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 41 And he gave her his hand and raised her up. And calling (BN)the [s]saints and (BO)widows, he presented her alive. 42 And it became known all over (BP)Joppa, and (BQ)many believed in the Lord. 43 And it happened that he stayed many days in (BR)Joppa with (BS)a tanner named Simon.

9 Saulo intanto, spirando ancora minacce e strage contro i discepoli del Signore, si recò dal sommo sacerdote,
2 e gli chiese lettere per le sinagoghe di Damasco affinché, se avesse trovato alcun seguace della Via, uomini o donne, li potesse condurre legati a Gerusalemme.
3 Or avvenne che, mentre era in cammino e si avvicinava a Damasco, all'improvviso una luce dal cielo gli folgorò d'intorno.
4 E, caduto a terra, udí una voce che gli diceva: «Saulo, Saulo, perché mi perseguiti?».
5 Ed egli disse: «Chi sei, Signore?». E il Signore disse. «Io sono Gesú, che tu perseguiti; ti è duro recalcitrare contro i pungoli».
6 Allora egli, tutto tremante e spaventato, disse: «Signore, che vuoi ch'io faccia?». E il Signore: «Alzati ed entra nella città, e ti sarà detto ciò che devi fare».
7 Or gli uomini che viaggiavano con lui si fermarono attoniti, perché udivano il suono della voce, ma non vedevano alcuno.
8 Poi Saulo si alzò da terra ma, aperti gli occhi, non vedeva alcuno; allora prendendolo per mano, lo condussero in Damasco.
9 E rimase tre giorni senza vedere, nei quali né mangiò né bevve.
10 Or a Damasco vi era un discepolo di nome Anania, al quale il Signore disse in visione: «Anania!». Ed egli rispose: «Eccomi, Signore!».
11 E il Signore a lui: «Alzati e recati nella strada detta Diritta, e cerca in casa di Giuda un uomo di Tarso di nome Saulo, che sta pregando;
12 egli ha visto in visione un uomo, di nome Anania, entrare e imporgli le mani perché ricuperi la vista».
13 Allora Anania rispose: «Signore, io ho sentito molti parlare di quest'uomo di quanto male ha fatto ai tuoi santi in Gerusalemme.
14 E qui ha l'autorizzazione dai capi dei sacerdoti, di imprigionare tutti coloro che invocano il tuo nome».
15 Ma il Signore gli disse: «Va perché costui è uno strumento da me scelto per portare il mio nome davanti alle genti, ai re e ai figli d'Israele.
16 Poiché io gli mostrerò quante cose egli deve soffrire per il mio nome».
17 Anania dunque andò ed entrò in quella casa; e, imponendogli le mani, disse: «Fratello Saulo, il Signore Gesú, che ti è apparso sulla via per la quale venivi, mi ha mandato perché tu ricuperi la vista e sii ripieno di Spirito Santo».
18 In quell'istante gli caddero dagli occhi come delle scaglie, e riacquistò la vista; poi si alzò e fu battezzato.
19 E, dopo aver preso cibo, egli ricuperò le forze. Poi Saulo rimase alcuni giorni con i discepoli che erano a Damasco.
20 E subito si mise a predicare il Cristo nelle sinagoghe, proclamando che egli è il Figlio di Dio.
21 E tutti quelli che lo udivano stupivano e dicevano: «Non è costui quel tale che a Gerusalemme perseguitava tutti coloro che invocavano questo nome, ed è venuto qui col preciso scopo di condurli prigionieri dai capi dei sacerdoti?».
22 Ma Saulo confondeva i Giudei che abitavano a Damasco, dimostrando che Gesú è il Cristo.
23 Molti giorni dopo, i Giudei si consultarono assieme per ucciderlo.
24 Ma il loro complotto venne a conoscenza di Saulo. Or essi facevano la guardia alle porte, giorno e notte, per poterlo uccidere;
25 allora i discepoli lo presero di notte e lo calarono giú dalle mura dentro una cesta.
26 Giunto a Gerusalemme, Saulo cercava di unirsi ai discepoli, ma avevano tutti paura di lui, non potendo credere che egli fosse un discepolo.
27 Allora Barnaba lo prese e lo condusse dagli apostoli, e raccontò loro come egli, lungo la strada, aveva visto il Signore che gli aveva parlato, e come a Damasco aveva parlato con franchezza nel nome di Gesú.
28 Così egli rimase con loro a Gerusalemme, andando e venendo, e parlava con franchezza nel nome del Signore Gesú.
29 Egli parlava anche e discuteva con gli ellenisti; ma essi cercavano di ucciderlo.
30 I fratelli però, venuti a conoscenza di questo, lo condussero a Cesarea e di là lo mandarono a Tarso.
31 Così le chiese in tutta la Giudea, la Galilea e la Samaria avevano pace ed erano edificate. E, camminando nel timore del Signore e nella consolazione dello Spirito Santo, moltiplicavano.
32 Or avvenne che, mentre Pietro percorreva tutto il paese, venne anche dai santi che abitavano a Lidda.
33 Qui trovò un uomo di nome Enea che già da otto anni giaceva in un letto, perché era paralitico.
34 Pietro gli disse: «Enea, Gesú, il Cristo, ti guarisce; alzati e rifatti il letto». Ed egli subito si alzò.
35 E tutti gli abitanti di Lidda e di Saron lo videro e si convertirono al Signore.
36 Or in Ioppe c'era una discepola di nome Tabitha, che significa Gazzella ella faceva molte buone opere e molte elemosine.
37 Or avvenne in quei giorni che ella si ammalò e morí. Dopo averla lavata, fu posta in una stanza al piano superiore.
38 E, poiché Lidda era vicina a loppe, i discepoli, udito che Pietro si trovava là gli mandarono due uomini per pregarlo di venire da loro senza indugio.
39 Pietro dunque si alzò e partí con loro. Appena giunse, lo condussero nella stanza di sopra; tutte le vedove si presentarono a lui piangendo e gli mostrarono tutte le tuniche e le vesti che Gazzella faceva, mentre era con loro.
40 Pietro allora, fatti uscire tutti, si pose in ginocchio e pregò. Poi, rivoltosi al corpo, disse: «Tabitha, alzati!». Ed ella aprí gli occhi e, visto Pietro, si mise a sedere.
41 Egli le diede la mano e l'aiutò ad alzarsi, e, chiamati i santi e le vedove, la presentò loro in vita.
42 La cosa fu risaputa per tutta Ioppe, e molti credettero nel Signore.
43 E Pietro, rimase a Ioppe parecchi giorni, in casa di un certo Simone, conciatore di pelli.
