Ministering at Corinth

18 After these things Paul departed from Athens and went to Corinth. And he found a certain Jew named (A)Aquila, born in Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife Priscilla (because Claudius had commanded all the Jews to depart from Rome); and he came to them. So, because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them (B)and worked; for by occupation they were tentmakers. (C)And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded both Jews and Greeks.

And because he was of the same craft, he abode with them, and wrought: for by their occupation they were tentmakers.

And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

18 Después de esto, Pablo se marchó de Atenas y se fue a Corinto. Allí se encontró con un judío llamado Aquila, natural del Ponto, y con su esposa Priscila. Hacía poco habían llegado de Italia, porque Claudio había mandado que todos los judíos fueran expulsados de Roma. Pablo fue a verlos y, como hacía tiendas de campaña al igual que ellos, se quedó para trabajar juntos. Todos los sábados discutía en la sinagoga, tratando de persuadir a judíos y a griegos.

Paul went to see them, and because he was a tentmaker as they were, he stayed and worked with them.(E) Every Sabbath(F) he reasoned in the synagogue,(G) trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.
