Convertirea lui Saul
9 Între timp însă, Saul încă sufla ameninţare şi ucidere împotriva ucenicilor Domnului. S-a dus la marele preot 2 şi a cerut de la el scrisori către sinagogile din Damasc, astfel încât, dacă i-ar găsi pe unii care sunt adepţi ai Căii[a], atât bărbaţi, cât şi femei, să-i aducă legaţi la Ierusalim. 3 În timp ce era pe drum şi se apropia de Damasc, a strălucit deodată împrejurul lui o lumină din cer. 4 El a căzut la pământ şi a auzit un glas care-i zicea:
– Saul, Saul, de ce Mă persecuţi?
5 El a întrebat:
– Cine eşti, Doamne[b]?
Isus i-a răspuns:
– Eu sunt Isus, Cel pe Care tu Îl persecuţi! 6 Ridică-te[c], intră în cetate şi ţi se va spune ce trebuie să faci! .
7 Bărbaţii care-l însoţeau în călătorie s-au oprit amuţiţi; auzeau într-adevăr glasul, dar nu vedeau pe nimeni. 8 Saul s-a sculat de la pământ şi, măcar că ochii îi erau deschişi, nu vedea nimic. Prin urmare, l-au luat de mână şi l-au dus în Damasc. 9 Timp de trei zile n-a văzut şi n-a mâncat, nici n-a băut nimic.
10 În Damasc era un ucenic pe nume Ananias. Domnul i-a vorbit într-o viziune:
– Ananias!
– Iată-mă, Doamne! a răspuns el.
11 Domnul i-a zis:
– Scoală-te, du-te pe strada numită „Dreaptă“ şi caută în casa lui Iuda un om din Tars, pe nume Saul. Iată, chiar acum el se roagă 12 şi a văzut într-o viziune un om pe nume Ananias, intrând şi punându-şi mâinile peste el ca să-şi recapete vederea!
13 Ananias I-a răspuns:
– Doamne, am auzit de la mulţi despre toate relele pe care omul acesta le-a făcut sfinţilor Tăi în Ierusalim. 14 Chiar şi aici are autoritate din partea conducătorilor preoţilor să-i lege pe toţi cei ce cheamă Numele Tău!
15 Dar Domnul i-a zis:
– Du-te, pentru că el este un vas al Meu pe care l-am ales ca să ducă Numele Meu atât înaintea neamurilor şi regilor lor, cât şi înaintea fiilor lui Israel! 16 Căci Eu îi voi arăta cât trebuie să sufere de dragul Numelui Meu!
17 Ananias a plecat, a intrat în casa unde era Saul şi, punându-şi mâinile peste el, a zis: „Frate Saul, m-a trimis Domnul – Isus, Cel Care ţi S-a arătat pe drumul pe care veneai – ca să-ţi recapeţi vederea şi să fii umplut de Duhul Sfânt!“ 18 Imediat, de pe ochii lui au căzut un fel de solzi, şi el şi-a recăpătat vederea. Apoi s-a ridicat, a fost botezat 19 şi, după ce a mâncat ceva, i-au revenit puterile.
Saul, în Damasc şi Ierusalim
Saul a rămas câteva zile cu ucenicii în Damasc 20 şi imediat a început să predice în sinagogi despre Isus, şi anume că El este Fiul lui Dumnezeu. 21 Toţi cei ce-l auzeau rămâneau uimiţi şi ziceau: „Nu este el acela care făcea prăpăd în Ierusalim printre cei ce chemau Numele acesta?! Şi n-a venit el aici ca să-i ducă legaţi la conducătorii preoţilor?!“ 22 Dar Saul se întărea tot mai mult şi le provoca nedumerire iudeilor care locuiau în Damasc, dovedind că Isus este Cristosul.
23 După mai multe zile, iudeii au uneltit să-l omoare, 24 însă Saul a aflat despre uneltirea lor. Zi şi noapte ei supravegheau porţile, ca să-l omoare. 25 Dar într-o noapte, ucenicii l-au luat şi l-au coborât prin zid, dându-l jos într-un coş.
26 Când a ajuns în Ierusalim, a încercat să li se alăture ucenicilor, dar toţi se temeau de el, pentru că nu credeau că este un ucenic. 27 Atunci Barnabas l-a luat şi l-a dus la apostoli; le-a istorisit cum, pe drum, Saul Îl văzuse pe Domnul, şi El îi vorbise, şi cum, în Damasc, vorbise cu îndrăzneală în Numele lui Isus. 28 De atunci venea şi se ducea împreună cu ei în Ierusalim, vorbind cu îndrăzneală în Numele Domnului. 29 De asemenea, vorbea şi purta dispute cu iudeii elenişti[d], dar ei încercau să-l omoare. 30 Când au aflat fraţii lucrul acesta, l-au dus la Cezareea şi l-au trimis în Tars.
31 Pe atunci, biserica de prin toată Iudeea, Galileea şi Samaria, se bucura de pace şi era consolidată; umbla în frică de Domnul şi, prin încurajarea Duhului Sfânt, se înmulţea.
Petru, în Lida şi în Iafo
32 În timp ce călătorea prin toate regiunile, Petru s-a coborât şi la sfinţii care locuiau în Lida. 33 Acolo a găsit un om pe nume Enea, care de opt ani zăcea în pat, pentru că era paralizat. 34 Petru i-a zis: „Enea, Isus Cristos te vindecă! Ridică-te şi fă-ţi patul!“ Şi el s-a ridicat imediat. 35 Toţi locuitorii din Lida şi din Şaron l-au văzut şi s-au întors la Domnul.
36 În Iafo era o ucenică, pe nume Tabita, care tradus înseamnă „Gazelă“ (sau Dorca)[e]. Viaţa ei era plină de fapte bune şi de milosteniile pe care le făcea. 37 În zilele acelea, ea s-a îmbolnăvit şi a murit. Au spălat-o şi au pus-o în camera de sus. 38 Lida este aproape de Iafo; prin urmare, când au auzit că Petru este în Lida[f], ucenicii au trimis doi bărbaţi să-l roage: „Nu ezita să vii până la noi!“ 39 Petru s-a sculat şi a plecat împreună cu ei. Când a ajuns, l-au condus în camera de sus. Toate văduvele au venit lângă el, plângând şi arătându-i tunicile şi hainele pe care le făcea Dorca pe când era cu ele. 40 Petru i-a scos afară pe toţi, a îngenuncheat şi s-a rugat; apoi s-a întors spre trup şi a zis: „Tabita, scoală-te!“ Ea a deschis ochii şi, când l-a văzut pe Petru, s-a ridicat. 41 El i-a dat mâna şi a ridicat-o; apoi i-a chemat pe sfinţi şi pe văduve şi le-a înfăţişat-o vie. 42 Acest fapt a devenit cunoscut prin tot Iafo şi mulţi au crezut în Domnul. 43 Petru a rămas mai multe zile în Iafo, la un anume Simon, un tăbăcar.

9 扫罗继续用凶狠的话恐吓主的门徒。他去见大祭司， 2 要取得授权书到大马士革的各会堂搜捕信耶稣的人，无论男女，都要把他们押回耶路撒冷。
3 当他快到大马士革的时候，突然有一道光从天上射下来，四面照着他。 4 他倒在地上，听见有声音对他说：“扫罗！扫罗！你为什么迫害我？” 5 他说：“主啊，你是谁？”那声音说：“我就是你所迫害的耶稣。 6 起来！进城去，有人会告诉你该做的事。”
7 同行的人站在那里只听见声音，却看不见人，吓得张口结舌。 8 扫罗爬起来，睁大眼睛，却什么也看不见，同伴拉着他的手进了大马士革。 9 一连三天，扫罗什么也看不见，也不吃也不喝。

21 听的人都大吃一惊，说：“他不就是那在耶路撒冷迫害信徒的人吗？他到这里来不是要把大马士革的信徒押去见祭司长吗？”
22 但扫罗越发有能力，引经据典证明耶稣是基督，使大马士革的犹太人惊慌失措。
扫罗逃生
23 过了一段日子，犹太人图谋杀死扫罗。 24 他们昼夜在城门守候，伺机下手，但这阴谋被扫罗知道了。 25 他的门徒趁夜间用筐子把他从城墙上缒下去。
26 扫罗逃到耶路撒冷后，曾设法与当地的门徒联络，可是他们都怕他，不相信他是门徒。 27 只有巴拿巴接待他，带他去见使徒，向他们陈述扫罗如何在路上遇见主，主如何对他说话，他又如何勇敢地在大马士革奉耶稣的名传道。 28 于是，扫罗就在耶路撒冷与使徒一起出入来往，奉主的名放胆传道。 29 他常常跟那些讲希腊话的犹太人辩论，于是他们打算杀掉他。 30 弟兄姊妹知道这消息后，就把扫罗带到凯撒利亚，然后送他到大数去。
31 当时，犹太、加利利、撒玛利亚各地的教会都很平安，得到了坚固。信徒们非常敬畏主，又得到圣灵的安慰，人数越来越多。
彼得医治瘫子

Saul Is Converted
9 In Jerusalem Saul was still threatening the followers of the Lord by saying he would kill them. So he went to the high priest 2 and asked him to write letters to the synagogues in the city of Damascus. Then if Saul found any followers of Christ’s Way, men or women, he would arrest them and bring them back to Jerusalem.
3 So Saul headed toward Damascus. As he came near the city, a bright light from heaven suddenly flashed around him. 4 Saul fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul! Why are you persecuting me?”
5 Saul said, “Who are you, Lord?”
The voice answered, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. 6 Get up now and go into the city. Someone there will tell you what you must do.”
7 The people traveling with Saul stood there but said nothing. They heard the voice, but they saw no one. 8 Saul got up from the ground and opened his eyes, but he could not see. So those with Saul took his hand and led him into Damascus. 9 For three days Saul could not see and did not eat or drink.
10 There was a follower of Jesus in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord spoke to Ananias in a vision, “Ananias!”
Ananias answered, “Here I am, Lord.”
11 The Lord said to him, “Get up and go to Straight Street. Find the house of Judas,[a] and ask for a man named Saul from the city of Tarsus. He is there now, praying. 12 Saul has seen a vision in which a man named Ananias comes to him and lays his hands on him. Then he is able to see again.”
13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, many people have told me about this man and the terrible things he did to your holy people in Jerusalem. 14 Now he has come here to Damascus, and the leading priests have given him the power to arrest everyone who worships you.”
15 But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! I have chosen Saul for an important work. He must tell about me to those who are not Jews, to kings, and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”
17 So Ananias went to the house of Judas. He laid his hands on Saul and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus sent me. He is the one you saw on the road on your way here. He sent me so that you can see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately, something that looked like fish scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and he was able to see again! Then Saul got up and was baptized. 19 After he ate some food, his strength returned.
Saul Preaches in Damascus
Saul stayed with the followers of Jesus in Damascus for a few days. 20 Soon he began to preach about Jesus in the synagogues, saying, “Jesus is the Son of God.”
21 All the people who heard him were amazed. They said, “This is the man who was in Jerusalem trying to destroy those who trust in this name! He came here to arrest the followers of Jesus and take them back to the leading priests.”
22 But Saul grew more powerful. His proofs that Jesus is the Christ were so strong that his own people in Damascus could not argue with him.
23 After many days, they made plans to kill Saul. 24 They were watching the city gates day and night, but Saul learned about their plan. 25 One night some followers of Saul helped him leave the city by lowering him in a basket through an opening in the city wall.
Saul Preaches in Jerusalem
26 When Saul went to Jerusalem, he tried to join the group of followers, but they were all afraid of him. They did not believe he was really a follower. 27 But Barnabas accepted Saul and took him to the apostles. Barnabas explained to them that Saul had seen the Lord on the road and the Lord had spoken to Saul. Then he told them how boldly Saul had preached in the name of Jesus in Damascus.
28 And so Saul stayed with the followers, going everywhere in Jerusalem, preaching boldly in the name of the Lord. 29 He would often talk and argue with the Jewish people who spoke Greek, but they were trying to kill him. 30 When the followers learned about this, they took Saul to Caesarea and from there sent him to Tarsus.
31 The church everywhere in Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had a time of peace and became stronger. Respecting the Lord by the way they lived, and being encouraged by the Holy Spirit, the group of believers continued to grow.
Peter Heals Aeneas
32 As Peter was traveling through all the area, he visited God’s people who lived in Lydda. 33 There he met a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had not been able to leave his bed for the past eight years. 34 Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you. Stand up and make your bed.” Aeneas stood up immediately. 35 All the people living in Lydda and on the Plain of Sharon saw him and turned to the Lord.
Peter Heals Tabitha
36 In the city of Joppa there was a follower named Tabitha (whose Greek name was Dorcas). She was always doing good deeds and kind acts. 37 While Peter was in Lydda, Tabitha became sick and died. Her body was washed and put in a room upstairs. 38 Since Lydda is near Joppa and the followers in Joppa heard that Peter was in Lydda, they sent two messengers to Peter. They begged him, “Hurry, please come to us!” 39 So Peter got ready and went with them. When he arrived, they took him to the upstairs room where all the widows stood around Peter, crying. They showed him the shirts and coats Tabitha had made when she was still alive. 40 Peter sent everyone out of the room and kneeled and prayed. Then he turned to the body and said, “Tabitha, stand up.” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 41 He gave her his hand and helped her up. Then he called the saints and the widows into the room and showed them that Tabitha was alive. 42 People everywhere in Joppa learned about this, and many believed in the Lord. 43 Peter stayed in Joppa for many days with a man named Simon who was a tanner.
