扫罗迫害教会
从那天起，耶路撒冷的教会大受迫害；除了使徒以外，所有的人都分散到犹太和撒玛利亚各地。 2 有些虔诚的人安葬了司提反，为他大大悲痛一番。 3 扫罗却残害教会，逐家进去，连男带女拉去坐监。
福音传到撒玛利亚
4 那些分散的人，经过各地，传扬福音真道。 5 腓利下到撒玛利亚城，宣讲基督。 6 群众听了腓利所讲的，看见他所行的神迹，就同心听从了他的话。 7 许多人有污灵附在他们身上，污灵大声喊叫了之后，就出来了；还有许多瘫子瘸子都医好了。 8 在那城里，就大有欢乐。
9 有一个人名叫西门，从前在城里行过邪术，使撒玛利亚的居民惊奇，他又自命不凡， 10 城里大大小小都听从他，说：“这就是那称为‘ 神的大能’的人。” 11 他们听从他，因为他长久用邪术，使他们惊奇。 12 等到腓利向他们传了 神的国的福音，和耶稣基督的名，他们就信了腓利，连男带女都受了洗。 13 连西门自己也信了，他受洗之后，常和腓利在一起，看见所发生的神迹和大能的事，就觉得很惊奇。
14 在耶路撒冷的使徒，听见撒玛利亚居民领受了 神的道，就差派彼得和约翰到他们那里去。 15 二人到了，就为大家祷告，要让他们接受圣灵。 16 因为圣灵还没有降在他们任何一个身上，他们只是受了洗归入主耶稣的名下。 17 于是使徒为他们按手，他们就受了圣灵。 18 西门看见使徒一按手，就有圣灵赐下来，就拿钱给他们， 19 说：“请把这权柄也给我，叫我为谁按手，谁就可以受圣灵。” 20 彼得对他说：“你的银子跟你一同灭亡吧！因为你以为 神的恩赐，是可以用钱买的。 21 你和这件事是毫无关系的，因为你在 神面前存心不正。 22 所以，你要悔改离弃这罪恶，要祈求主，也许你心中的意念可以得到赦免。 23 我看出你正在苦胆之中，邪恶捆绑着你。” 24 西门回答：“请你们为我求主，好让你们所说的，没有一样临到我身上。”
25 使徒作了见证，讲了主的道，就回耶路撒冷去，一路上在撒玛利亚人的许多村庄里传扬福音。
腓利对太监传讲耶稣
26 有主的一位使者对腓利说：“起来，向南走，往那从耶路撒冷下迦萨的路上去。”那条路在旷野里。 27 他就动身去了。有一个衣索匹亚人，是衣索匹亚女王干大基有权力的太监，掌管女王全部国库。他上耶路撒冷去礼拜。 28 他回去的时候，坐在车上读以赛亚先知的书。 29 圣灵对腓利说：“你往前去，靠近那车子！” 30 腓利就跑过去，听见他读以赛亚先知的书，就问他：“你所读的，你明白吗？” 31 他说：“没有人指导我，怎能明白呢？”于是请腓利上车，同他坐在一起。 32 他所读的那段经文，就是：
“他像羊被牵去宰杀，
又像羊羔在剪毛的人面前无声，
他总是这样不开口。
33 他受屈辱的时候，
得不到公平的审判，
谁能说出他的身世呢？
因为他的生命从地上被夺去。”
34 太监对腓利说：“请问先知这话是指谁说的？指他自己呢？还是指别人？” 35 腓利就开口，从这段经文开始，向他传讲耶稣。 36 他们一路走，到了有水的地方，太监说：“你看，这里有水，有甚么可以阻止我受洗呢？”（有些抄本在此有第37节：“腓利说：‘你若全心相信，就可以受洗。’他回答说：‘我信耶稣基督是 神的儿子。’”） 38 于是太监吩咐停车，腓利和他两人下到水中，腓利就给他施洗。 39 他们从水里上来的时候，主的灵就把腓利提去了，太监再也看不见他，就欢欢喜喜地上路。 40 后来有人在亚锁都遇见腓利。他走遍各城，传讲福音，直到该撒利亚。
Acts 8
Worldwide English (New Testament)
8 Saul agreed to Stephen being killed. At that time the church people at Jerusalem had much trouble. The church people all went into Judea and Samaria. Only the apostles stayed on at Jerusalem.
2 Good men buried Stephen. They were very sad because he died.
3 Saul made much trouble for the church people. He went into every house, pulled out men and women, and put them into prison.
4 The people who left Jerusalem went all around telling the good news about Jesus.
5 Then Philip went to the city of Samaria and told people about Christ.
6 And all the people together listened to what Philip said because they heard and saw the big works which he did.
7 Many people who were held by bad spirits were made free from them. The spirits came out of them crying loudly. Many other sick people were healed too. People who could not stand, and others who were lame, were healed.
8 The people all over the city were very glad.
9 But there was one man named Simon, a witch-doctor, who fooled the people of Samaria. He tried to make people believe that he could do big things.
10 And all the people, young and old, listened to him. They said, `This man is a big power of God.'
11 He had fooled them for a long time with his work as a witch. That is why they listened to him.
12 But Philip came and told them about God's kingdom and the name of Jesus Christ. The people believed him. Then both men and women were baptised.
13 Simon believed also. When he was baptised, he went with Philip. He was very much surprised when he saw the signs and the big works which were done.
14 Then the apostles at Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria believed God's word. So they sent Peter and John to them.
15 When they came to them, they prayed for them to receive the Holy Spirit.
16 Until that time, none of the people there had received the Holy Spirit. They had only been baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus.
17 Then the apostles put their hands on the people and they received the Holy Spirit.
18 Simon saw that the people received the Holy Spirit when the apostles put their hands on them. Then he brought money to the apostles.
19 He said, `Give me this power, too, so that anyone on whom I put my hands will receive the Holy Spirit.'
20 Peter said, `May you and your money be destroyed! You thought that you could buy the gift of God with money.
21 You have no part in this matter. You cannot have any of this because God sees that your heart is not right.
22 Stop your wrong ways. Ask the Lord. Perhaps God will forgive you for the wrong things you wanted to do.
23 I see that you are very bitter. Your wrong ways control you all together.'
24 Simon said, `Ask the Lord for me, so that none of the things you have talked about will happen to me.'
25 The apostles told the people the word of the Lord. Then they went back to Jerusalem. On the way they told the good news in many villages in Samaria.
26 The angel of the Lord spoke to Philip. `Get up,' said the angel. `Go south to the road that goes from Jerusalem to Gaza. It is desert there.'
27 So Philip went. He saw a man from the country of Ethiopia. This man was a servant of Candace, the queen of the Ethiopian people. She gave this servant much power. He took care of her money. He had gone to Jerusalem to worship.
28 Now he was on his way back. He sat in his carriage reading from the book which was written long ago by Isaiah, the prophet of God.
29 The Spirit of the Lord said to Stephen, `Go over to that man in the carriage.'
30 So Philip went running to him. He heard him reading from the book of the prophet Isaiah. `Do you understand what you are reading?' Philip asked.
31 `How can I? I have no man to teach me,' he answered. He asked Philip to get into the carriage and ride with him.
32 This is what he was reading: `He was led as a sheep to be killed. A lamb says nothing while its wool is being cut, so he also says nothing.
33 He was put down very low. He was not allowed to have a proper trial. He had no children to follow after him. For his life is taken from the earth.'
34 Then the man from Ethiopia asked Philip, `Please tell me, who is the prophet talking about, himself or some other man?'
35 Then Philip told him about Jesus. He began with what the man read in the book.
36 While they were going along, they came to some water by the road. The man said, `See, here is water. What is there to stop me from being baptised?'
37 Philip answered, `If you believe with all your heart, you may be baptised.' The man said, `I do believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.'
38 The man told the driver to stop. Then both he and Philip went down into the water, and Philip baptised him.
39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away. The man did not see him again, but he went on his way and was very happy.
40 Next, Philip came to the town of Azotus. He told the good news in all the cities through which he passed. Then he came to Caesarea.

8 Y Saulo estaba de acuerdo en que asesinaran a Esteban.
La iglesia perseguida y dispersa
Aquel mismo día, una gran ola de persecución se levantó contra los creyentes y barrió la iglesia de Jerusalén. Todos, excepto los apóstoles, huyeron a Judea y Samaria. 2 Varios judíos piadosos, llenos de tristeza, enterraron a Esteban.
3 Saulo, por su parte, iba por todas partes persiguiendo a la iglesia. Entraba a las casas, arrastraba a hombres y mujeres y los metía en la cárcel.
Felipe en Samaria
4 Los creyentes que huyeron de Jerusalén continuaron predicando las buenas noticias por dondequiera que iban. 5 Felipe, por ejemplo, huyó a Samaria y se puso a hablarle del Mesías al pueblo. 6 Grandes multitudes lo escuchaban atentamente, al ver los milagros que realizaba. 7 Felipe echaba fuera demonios, que salían de sus víctimas dando gritos, y también sanaba paralíticos y cojos. 8 Y había gran gozo en la ciudad.
Simón el hechicero
9 Vivía en Samaria un tal Simón, que había ejercido la magia durante muchos años, y tenía asombrada a la gente haciéndose pasar por alguien muy grande.
10 Todos, desde el más pequeño hasta el más importante, le prestaban atención y decían: «Este es al que llaman el Gran Poder de Dios». 11 La gente le hacía caso, porque por mucho tiempo las había engañado con su magia.
12 Cuando los samaritanos creyeron el mensaje de Felipe, que afirmaba que Jesús era el Mesías y hablaba del reino de Dios, se bautizaron muchos hombres y mujeres. 13 Simón también creyó, recibió el bautismo y se dedicó a seguir a Felipe a dondequiera que este iba, maravillado por los milagros que realizaba.
14 Cuando los apóstoles que estaban en Jerusalén se enteraron de que el pueblo de Samaria había aceptado el mensaje de Dios, enviaron allá a Pedro y a Juan. 15 Tan pronto llegaron, comenzaron a orar para que recibieran el Espíritu Santo, 16 que todavía no había descendido sobre ellos y sólo estaban bautizados en el nombre del Señor Jesús. 17 Entonces Pedro y Juan pusieron las manos sobre los creyentes y ellos recibieron el Espíritu Santo.
18 Al ver Simón que el Espíritu Santo descendía sobre aquellos a quienes los apóstoles les ponían las manos, les hizo una oferta de dinero.
19 ―Este dinero es para que me permitan obtener ese poder —les dijo—. Quiero que al imponer las manos sobre la gente, reciban el Espíritu Santo.
20 ―Que tu dinero perezca contigo —le contestó Pedro—, que piensas que los dones de Dios se pueden comprar. 21 Tú no puedes tener parte en esto, porque tu corazón no es recto ante Dios. 22 Arrepiéntete de esta maldad y ora. Quizás Dios te perdone los malos pensamientos, 23 porque veo que tienes el corazón lleno de envidia y de pecado.
24 ―Oren por mí —suplicó Simón—. No quiero que eso tan horrible me suceda.
25 Tras testificar y predicar en Samaria, Pedro y Juan regresaron a Jerusalén. A lo largo del camino fueron deteniéndose en los pueblos samaritanos, para predicar las buenas noticias.
Felipe y el etíope
26 Un ángel del Señor le dijo a Felipe: «Ve hacia el sur por el camino desierto que va de Jerusalén a Gaza». 27 Así lo hizo. Y por el camino se encontró con un etíope eunuco, el tesorero de Etiopía, funcionario poderoso de la reina Candace. El etíope había ido a Jerusalén a adorar en el templo. 28 En el viaje de regreso, el funcionario iba en su carroza leyendo el libro del profeta Isaías.
29 «Da alcance a esa carroza —le dijo el Espíritu Santo a Felipe—, y acércate a ella».
30 Felipe obedeció presuroso y, al acercarse, escuchó lo que el funcionario iba leyendo.
―¿Entiendes eso que lees? —le preguntó.
31 ―¿Cómo lo voy a entender si nadie me lo ha explicado? —contestó.
Entonces invitó a Felipe a que subiera a la carroza y se sentara con él.
32 El pasaje de las Escrituras que estaba leyendo era el siguiente:
«Como oveja a la muerte lo llevaron, y como cordero mudo ante los que lo trasquilan, no abrió la boca. 33 En su humillación, no se le hizo justicia. ¿Quién podrá hablar de su descendencia? porque arrancaron su vida de esta tierra».
34 ―¿Hablaba el profeta de sí mismo o de otra persona? —le preguntó el eunuco a Felipe.
35 Y Felipe, comenzando con ese mismo pasaje de la Escritura, se puso a hablarle de las buenas noticias acerca de Jesús.
36 A un lado del camino encontraron agua.
―¡Mira! ¡Aquí hay agua! —exclamó el funcionario—. ¿Por qué no me bautizas?
37 ―Siempre y cuando creas de corazón, no hay nada que lo impida —le dijo Felipe.
―Creo que Jesucristo es el Hijo de Dios —respondió el eunuco.
38 Detuvieron entonces la carroza, bajaron ambos al agua y Felipe lo bautizó.
39 Al salir del agua, el Espíritu del Señor se llevó a Felipe y el funcionario ya no lo vio: Pero a pesar de esto, siguió gozoso su camino.
40 Mientras tanto, Felipe estaba en Azoto, y allí, como en cada una de las ciudades que encontró en el viaje a Cesarea, predicó las buenas noticias.
