彼得醫好瘸腿的人

3 在下午三點禱告的時辰，彼得和約翰上聖殿去。 ²有一個生來瘸腿的人被人抬來。他們天天把他放在那名叫美門的殿門口，讓他好向進殿的人討飯。 ³他看見彼得和約翰將要進殿，就向他們討飯。 ⁴彼得和約翰定睛看著他，彼得說：“你看我們！” ⁵那人就留意看著他們，希望從他們得些甚麼。 ⁶彼得卻說：“金銀我都沒有，只把我有的給你：我奉拿撒勒人耶穌基督的名，吩咐你行走！” ⁷於是拉著他的右手，扶他起來；他的腳和踝骨立刻強壯有力， ⁸他一跳就站了起來，並且行走。他連走帶跳，讚美　神，同他們進入殿中。 ⁹群眾看見他一邊走一邊讚美　神； ¹⁰他們一認出他就是那平時坐在聖殿美門口討飯的，就因他所經歷的事，滿心希奇，驚訝不已。

¹¹那人拉著彼得和約翰的時候，群眾都很驚奇，跑到他們那裡，就是所羅門廊的下面。 ¹²彼得看見了，就對群眾說：“以色列人哪，為甚麼因這事希奇呢？為甚麼瞪著我們，好像我們是憑著自己的能力和虔誠，使這人行走呢？ ¹³亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各的　神，就是我們祖宗的　神，榮耀了他的僕人耶穌。這位耶穌，你們把他送交官府。彼拉多本來定意要放他，你們卻當著彼拉多的面拒絕他。 ¹⁴你們把那聖者義者拒絕了，反而要求給你們釋放一個殺人犯。 ¹⁵你們殺了那‘生命的創始者’，　神卻使他從死人中復活。我們就是這件事的見證人。 ¹⁶是他的名—因信他的名—使你們所看見所認識的這個人強壯了。這從耶穌而來的信心，當著你們眾人面前，把他完全醫好了。 ¹⁷弟兄們，我知道你們所作的，是出於無知，你們的官長也是這樣。 ¹⁸但　神曾經藉著眾先知的口，預先宣告他所立的基督將要受害的事，就這樣應驗了。 ¹⁹所以你們應當悔改歸正，使你們的罪得著塗抹。 ²⁰這樣，那安樂的日子，必從主面前來到，並且他必把為你們預先選定的基督（耶穌）差來。 ²¹他必留在天上，直到萬物復興的時候，就是　神自古藉著聖先知的口所說的。 ²²摩西曾說：‘你們的主　神要從你們弟兄中間，給你們興起一位先知像我；無論他對你們說甚麼，你們都應當聽從。 ²³無論誰不聽從那位先知，必定從民中滅絕。’ ²⁴所有從撒母耳起，以及相繼興起來講話的先知，都曾經宣告這些日子。 ²⁵你們是先知的子孫，也是承受　神向你們祖先所立之約的人。　神曾經對亞伯拉罕說：‘地上萬族，都要因你的後裔得福。’ ²⁶　神先給你們興起他的僕人，差他來祝福你們，使你們各人回轉，離開邪惡。”

Acts 3

Young's Literal Translation

3 And Peter and John were going up at the same time to the temple, at the hour of the prayer, the ninth [hour],

²and a certain man, being lame from the womb of his mother, was being carried, whom they were laying every day at the gate of the temple, called Beautiful, to ask a kindness from those entering into the temple,

³who, having seen Peter and John about to go into the temple, was begging to receive a kindness.

⁴And Peter, having looked stedfastly toward him with John, said, `Look toward us;'

⁵and he was giving heed to them, looking to receive something from them;

⁶and Peter said, `Silver and gold I have none, but what I have, that I give to thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and be walking.'

⁷And having seized him by the right hand, he raised [him] up, and presently his feet and ankles were strengthened,

⁸and springing up, he stood, and was walking, and did enter with them into the temple, walking and springing, and praising God;

⁹and all the people saw him walking and praising God,

¹⁰they were knowing him also that this it was who for a kindness was sitting at the Beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what hath happened to him.

¹¹And at the lame man who was healed holding Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch called Solomon's -- greatly amazed,

¹²and Peter having seen, answered unto the people, `Men, Israelites! why wonder ye at this? or on us why look ye so earnestly, as if by our own power or piety we have made him to walk?

¹³`The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, did glorify His child Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, he having given judgment to release [him],

¹⁴and ye the Holy and Righteous One did deny, and desired a man -- a murderer -- to be granted to you,

¹⁵and the Prince of the life ye did kill, whom God did raise out of the dead, of which we are witnesses;

¹⁶and on the faith of his name, this one whom ye see and have known, his name made strong, even the faith that [is] through him did give to him this perfect soundness before you all.

¹⁷`And now, brethren, I have known that through ignorance ye did [it], as also your rulers;

¹⁸and God, what things before He had declared through the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ should suffer, He did thus fulfil;

¹⁹reform ye, therefore, and turn back, for your sins being blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,

²⁰and He may send Jesus Christ who before hath been preached to you,

²¹whom it behoveth heaven, indeed, to receive till times of a restitution of all things, of which God spake through the mouth of all His holy prophets from the age.

²²`For Moses, indeed, unto the fathers said -- A prophet to you shall the Lord your God raise up out of your brethren, like to me; him shall ye hear in all things, as many as he may speak unto you;

²³and it shall be, every soul that may not hear that prophet shall be utterly destroyed out of the people;

²⁴and also all the prophets from Samuel and those following in order, as many as spake, did also foretell of these days.

²⁵`Ye are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant that God made unto our fathers, saying unto Abraham: And in thy seed shall be blessed all the families of the earth;

²⁶to you first, God, having raised up His child Jesus, did send him, blessing you, in the turning away of each one from your evil ways.'

Good News Translation

A Lame Beggar Is Healed

3 One day Peter and John went to the Temple at three o'clock in the afternoon, the hour for prayer. ²There at the Beautiful Gate, as it was called, was a man who had been lame all his life. Every day he was carried to the gate to beg for money from the people who were going into the Temple. ³When he saw Peter and John going in, he begged them to give him something. ⁴They looked straight at him, and Peter said, “Look at us!” ⁵So he looked at them, expecting to get something from them. ⁶But Peter said to him, “I have no money at all, but I give you what I have: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth I order you to get up and walk!” ⁷Then he took him by his right hand and helped him up. At once the man's feet and ankles became strong; ⁸he jumped up, stood on his feet, and started walking around. Then he went into the Temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God. ⁹The people there saw him walking and praising God, ¹⁰and when they recognized him as the beggar who had sat at the Beautiful Gate, they were all surprised and amazed at what had happened to him.

Peter's Message in the Temple

¹¹As the man held on to Peter and John in Solomon's Porch, as it was called, the people were amazed and ran to them. ¹²When Peter saw the people, he said to them, “Fellow Israelites, why are you surprised at this, and why do you stare at us? Do you think that it was by means of our own power or godliness that we made this man walk? ¹³^(A)The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has given divine glory to his Servant Jesus. But you handed him over to the authorities, and you rejected him in Pilate's presence, even after Pilate had decided to set him free. ¹⁴^(B)He was holy and good, but you rejected him, and instead you asked Pilate to do you the favor of turning loose a murderer. ¹⁵You killed the one who leads to life, but God raised him from death—and we are witnesses to this. ¹⁶It was the power of his name that gave strength to this lame man. What you see and know was done by faith in his name; it was faith in Jesus that has made him well, as you can all see.

¹⁷“And now, my friends, I know that what you and your leaders did to Jesus was due to your ignorance. ¹⁸God announced long ago through all the prophets that his Messiah had to suffer; and he made it come true in this way. ¹⁹Repent, then, and turn to God, so that he will forgive your sins. If you do, ²⁰times of spiritual strength will come from the Lord, and he will send Jesus, who is the Messiah he has already chosen for you. ²¹He must remain in heaven until the time comes for all things to be made new, as God announced through his holy prophets of long ago. ²²^(C)For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will send you a prophet, just as he sent me,^[a] and he will be one of your own people. You are to obey everything that he tells you to do. ²³^(D)Anyone who does not obey that prophet shall be separated from God's people and destroyed.’ ²⁴And all the prophets who had a message, including Samuel and those who came after him, also announced what has been happening these days. ²⁵^(E)The promises of God through his prophets are for you, and you share in the covenant which God made with your ancestors. As he said to Abraham, ‘Through your descendants I will bless all the people on earth.’ ²⁶And so God chose his Servant and sent him to you first, to bless you by making every one of you turn away from your wicked ways.”
