24 过了五天，大祭司亚拿尼亚同几个长老和一个辩士帖土罗下来，向巡抚控告保罗。 2 保罗被提了来，帖土罗就告他说： 3 “腓力斯大人，我们因你得以大享太平，并且这一国的弊病因着你的先见得以更正了，我们随时随地满心感谢不尽。 4 唯恐多说，你嫌烦絮，只求你宽容听我们说几句话。 5 我们看这个人如同瘟疫一般，是鼓动普天下众犹太人生乱的，又是拿撒勒教党里的一个头目。 6 连圣殿他也想要污秽，我们把他捉住了。[a] 8 你自己究问他，就可以知道我们告他的一切事了。” 9 众犹太人也随着告他说：“事情诚然是这样。”

10 巡抚点头叫保罗说话，他就说：“我知道你在这国里断事多年，所以我乐意为自己分诉。 11 你查问就可以知道，从我上耶路撒冷礼拜到今日，不过有十二天。 12 他们并没有看见我在殿里或是在会堂里，或是在城里，和人辩论，耸动众人。 13 他们现在所告我的事并不能对你证实了。 14 但有一件事，我向你承认，就是他们所称为异端的道，我正按着那道侍奉我祖宗的神，又信合乎律法的和先知书上一切所记载的； 15 并且靠着神，盼望死人无论善恶都要复活，就是他们自己也有这个盼望。 16 我因此自己勉励，对神、对人常存无亏的良心。 17 过了几年，我带着周济本国的捐项和供献的物上去。 18 正献的时候，他们看见我在殿里已经洁净了，并没有聚众，也没有吵嚷，唯有几个从亚细亚来的犹太人。 19 他们若有告我的事，就应当到你面前来告我。 20 即或不然，这些人若看出我站在公会前有妄为的地方，他们自己也可以说明。 21 纵然有，也不过一句话，就是我站在他们中间大声说：‘我今日在你们面前受审，是为死人复活的道理。’”

24 过了几天，腓力斯和他夫人犹太的女子土西拉一同来到，就叫了保罗来，听他讲论信基督耶稣的道。 25 保罗讲论公义、节制和将来的审判，腓力斯甚觉恐惧，说：“你暂且去吧，等我得便再叫你来。” 26 腓力斯又指望保罗送他银钱，所以屡次叫他来，和他谈论。 27 过了两年，波求·非斯都接了腓力斯的任；腓力斯要讨犹太人的喜欢，就留保罗在监里。

24 过了五天，大祭司阿纳尼亚带着一些长老和一个名叫特图罗斯的律师下来，向总督指控保罗。 2 保罗被叫进来，特图罗斯就开始控告，说：“菲利克斯大人！因着您，我们大享和平；因着您的远见，本国也进行了许多改革； 3 我们事事处处满怀感谢地领受。 4 但为了不过多地烦扰您，我恳求您，以您的仁慈听我们简短地说。 5 我们发现这个人像瘟疫一样，煽动普天下犹太人暴乱；他又是拿撒勒人教派的一个头目。 6 他甚至试图玷污圣殿，我们就把他拘捕了。我们本来想按照我们的律法审判他，[a] 7 可是千夫长吕西亚过来，把他从我们手中强行带走，又吩咐原告到您这里来。[b] 8 您亲自审问他，就能了解我们控告他的这一切事了。” 9 犹太人也都附和，声称这些事就是如此。

在菲利克斯面前辩解

10 总督点头示意要保罗讲话，保罗就说：“我知道您在本国多年做审判官，所以我乐意为自己申辩。 11 您可以了解，自从我上耶路撒冷去敬拜，到现在不超过十二天。 12 无论在圣殿里，或在会堂里，或在城里，他们都没有看见我和任何人争论，或煽动民众。 13 他们现在也不能向您证实所控告我的事。 14 不过这一点我向您承认：我是按照他们称为‘异端[c]’的这道[d]，如此事奉我先祖的神，因为我相信一切合乎律法书和先知书上所记载的事； 15 我对神所怀有的盼望也是这些人自己所期望的，就是义人和不义的人[e]将来都要复活。 16 因此，在神和人面前，我总是尽力存着无愧的良心。 17 过了好几年，我回来了，带着给我同胞的施舍，以及供物； 18 正献上供物的时候，他们在圣殿里发现了我，那时我已经行完了洁净礼，既没有人群，也没有骚乱， 19 只有一些从亚细亚省来的犹太人——如果对我有什么控告，应该是他们到您面前来控告。 20 还是让这些人自己说说，我站在议会前的时候，他们到底查出了我有什么罪行—— 21 或者，是为了我站在他们中间喊过这样一句话：‘我今天在你们面前受审，是因为死人复活的事！’”

24 Пять дней спустя верховный священнослужитель Анания с некоторыми старейшинами и юристом Тертуллом пришёл в Кесарию, чтобы представить наместнику обвинение против Павлуса. 2 Когда Павлуса ввели, Тертулл представил обвинение против него:

3 – Достопочтеннейший Феликс! Мы всегда и повсюду с глубокой признательностью принимаем твои реформы на благо этого народа и благодарим тебя за тот прочный мир, который установился при твоём разумном правлении. 4 Чтобы тебя более не утруждать, я попрошу тебя с твоей обычной добротой выслушать нашу короткую просьбу. 5 Мы находим этого человека нарушителем спокойствия, он зачинщик мятежей среди иудеев по всему миру. Он главарь назарейской секты[a] 6-7 и пытался даже осквернить храм. Поэтому мы его арестовали.[b] 8 Когда ты допросишь его, ты и сам узнаешь обо всём, в чём мы обвиняем его.

– Мне известно, что ты уже много лет судишь этот народ, и я рад, что мне предоставляется возможность высказаться перед тобой в свою защиту. 11 Тебе нетрудно будет удостовериться в том, что не больше двенадцати дней тому назад я пришёл на поклонение в Иерусалим. 12 Мои обвинители не видели, чтобы я спорил с кем-либо в храме или же возмущал народ в молитвенных домах иудеев или в каком-либо другом месте города. 13 Они не могут доказать обвинений, которые сейчас выдвигают против меня. 14 Но я признаю, что поклоняюсь Богу наших предков[c] и следую Пути, который мои обвинители называют сектой. Я верю всему, что записано в Тавроте и в Книге Пророков, 15 и у меня такая же надежда на Всевышнего, как и у этих людей – надежда на то, что будет воскресение как праведных, так и неправедных. 16 Поэтому я стараюсь, чтобы моя совесть была всегда чиста перед Всевышним и перед людьми.

Paul on Trial Before Felix

24 Five days later the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and a lawyer named Tertullus. They brought formal charges against Paul to the governor.

2 When Paul was called in, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, “We are enjoying a long period of peace because of you, most excellent Felix, and reforms are coming to this nation because of your foresight. 3 In every way and in every place, we acknowledge this with all gratitude. 4 But in order not to detain you any longer, I beg you in your kindness to give us a brief hearing. 5 For we have found this man to be a public menace, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the Nazarene sect. 6 He even tried to desecrate the temple, so we arrested him.[a] 8 By examining him yourself, you will be able to learn from him about all these accusations we are bringing against him.”

9 The Jews also joined in the attack, asserting that these things were so.

10 When the governor motioned to him to speak, Paul replied, “Because I know that you have been a judge over this nation for many years, I gladly make my defense. 11 You can verify for yourself that it was no more than twelve days ago when I went up to worship at Jerusalem. 12 They did not find me arguing with anyone in the temple or stirring up a crowd in the synagogues or anywhere else in the city. 13 And they cannot prove to you the accusations they are now making against me.

14 “But I do confess to you that I worship the God of our fathers according to the Way, which they call a sect. I believe everything written throughout the Law and in the Prophets; 15 and I have the same hope in God that these men have, that there is going to be a resurrection[b] of both the righteous and the unrighteous. 16 This is the reason I continue to do my best to have a clear conscience toward both God and people.

17 “After several years, I came to bring my people gifts for the poor and to present offerings. 18 While I was doing these things, they found me ceremonially purified in the temple, without a crowd or disturbance. 19 But there are some Jews from the province of Asia who ought to be here before you and bring charges, if they have anything against me. 20 Or let these men here state what crime they found in me when I stood before the Sanhedrin, 21 unless this is about the one thing I shouted while standing in their presence: ‘It is concerning the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you today.’”

22 Then Felix,[c] because he was rather well informed about the Way, adjourned the proceedings. He said, “When Lysias the commander comes down, I will decide your case.” 23 He ordered the centurion to guard Paul, but to let him have some freedom and not to prevent any of his friends from taking care of his needs.

24 Several days later, Felix appeared in public with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish. He sent for Paul and listened to him speak about faith in Christ Jesus. 25 While Paul instructed him about righteousness, self-control, and the coming judgment, Felix became frightened and replied, “Leave me for now, but when it is convenient, I will send for you.” 26 At the same time, he was also hoping that Paul would give him money,[d] and for this reason he sent for him as often as possible and talked with him.

27 After two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Portius Festus. But because he wanted to do the Jews a favor, Felix left Paul in prison.

Paul’s Trial Before Felix

24 Five days later the high priest Ananias(A) went down to Caesarea with some of the elders and a lawyer named Tertullus, and they brought their charges(B) against Paul before the governor.(C) 2 When Paul was called in, Tertullus presented his case before Felix: “We have enjoyed a long period of peace under you, and your foresight has brought about reforms in this nation. 3 Everywhere and in every way, most excellent(D) Felix, we acknowledge this with profound gratitude. 4 But in order not to weary you further, I would request that you be kind enough to hear us briefly.

5 “We have found this man to be a troublemaker, stirring up riots(E) among the Jews(F) all over the world. He is a ringleader of the Nazarene(G) sect(H) 6 and even tried to desecrate the temple;(I) so we seized him. [7] [a] 8 By examining him yourself you will be able to learn the truth about all these charges we are bringing against him.”

9 The other Jews joined in the accusation,(J) asserting that these things were true.

10 When the governor(K) motioned for him to speak, Paul replied: “I know that for a number of years you have been a judge over this nation; so I gladly make my defense. 11 You can easily verify that no more than twelve days(L) ago I went up to Jerusalem to worship. 12 My accusers did not find me arguing with anyone at the temple,(M) or stirring up a crowd(N) in the synagogues or anywhere else in the city. 13 And they cannot prove to you the charges they are now making against me.(O) 14 However, I admit that I worship the God of our ancestors(P) as a follower of the Way,(Q) which they call a sect.(R) I believe everything that is in accordance with the Law and that is written in the Prophets,(S) 15 and I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection(T) of both the righteous and the wicked.(U) 16 So I strive always to keep my conscience clear(V) before God and man.

17 “After an absence of several years, I came to Jerusalem to bring my people gifts for the poor(W) and to present offerings. 18 I was ceremonially clean(X) when they found me in the temple courts doing this. There was no crowd with me, nor was I involved in any disturbance.(Y) 19 But there are some Jews from the province of Asia,(Z) who ought to be here before you and bring charges if they have anything against me.(AA) 20 Or these who are here should state what crime they found in me when I stood before the Sanhedrin— 21 unless it was this one thing I shouted as I stood in their presence: ‘It is concerning the resurrection of the dead that I am on trial before you today.’”(AB)

22 Then Felix, who was well acquainted with the Way,(AC) adjourned the proceedings. “When Lysias the commander comes,” he said, “I will decide your case.” 23 He ordered the centurion to keep Paul under guard(AD) but to give him some freedom(AE) and permit his friends to take care of his needs.(AF)

24 Several days later Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish. He sent for Paul and listened to him as he spoke about faith in Christ Jesus.(AG) 25 As Paul talked about righteousness, self-control(AH) and the judgment(AI) to come, Felix was afraid(AJ) and said, “That’s enough for now! You may leave. When I find it convenient, I will send for you.” 26 At the same time he was hoping that Paul would offer him a bribe, so he sent for him frequently and talked with him.

27 When two years had passed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus,(AK) but because Felix wanted to grant a favor to the Jews,(AL) he left Paul in prison.(AM)
