36 Для диригенту хору. Раба Господнього Давида. (36-2) Грішне слово безбожного в серці моїм: Нема страху Божого перед очима його,
2 (36-3) бо в очах своїх він до себе підлещується, щоб буцім то гріх свій знайти, щоб зненавидіти.
3 (36-4) Слова його уст то марнота й обмана, перестав він бути мудрим, щоб чинити добро.
4 (36-5) Беззаконство задумує він на постелі своїй, стає на дорозі недобрій, не цурається злого.
5 (36-6) Господи, аж до небес милосердя Твоє, аж до хмар Твоя вірність,
6 (36-7) Твоя справедливість немов гори Божі, Твої суди безодня велика, людину й худобу спасаєш Ти, Господи!
7 (36-8) Яка дорога Твоя милість, о Боже, і ховаються людські сини в тіні Твоїх крил:
8 (36-9) вони з ситости дому Твого напоюються, і Ти їх напуваєш з потока Своїх солодощів,
9 (36-10) бо в Тебе джерело життя, в Твоїм світлі побачимо світло!
10 (36-11) Продовж Свою милість на тих, хто знає Тебе, а правду Свою на людей щиросердих!
11 (36-12) Нога пишних нехай не наступить на мене, і безбожна рука нехай не викидає мене!
12 (36-13) Попадали там беззаконники, повалено їх і встати не зможуть.

For the director of music. Of David the servant of the Lord.
1 I have a message from God in my heart
concerning the sinfulness of the wicked:[b](A)
There is no fear(B) of God
before their eyes.(C)
2 In their own eyes they flatter themselves
too much to detect or hate their sin.(D)
3 The words of their mouths(E) are wicked and deceitful;(F)
they fail to act wisely(G) or do good.(H)
4 Even on their beds they plot evil;(I)
they commit themselves to a sinful course(J)
and do not reject what is wrong.(K)
5 Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens,
your faithfulness(L) to the skies.(M)
6 Your righteousness(N) is like the highest mountains,(O)
your justice like the great deep.(P)
You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.(Q)
7 How priceless is your unfailing love, O God!(R)
People take refuge in the shadow of your wings.(S)
8 They feast on the abundance of your house;(T)
you give them drink from your river(U) of delights.(V)
9 For with you is the fountain of life;(W)
in your light(X) we see light.
