Общине верующих в Сардах
3 – Вестнику общины верующих в Сардах напиши:
«Так говорит Имеющий семь духов Всевышнего и семь звёзд:
Я знаю твои дела. О тебе говорят, будто ты жив, но ты мёртв. 2 Пробудись! Укрепи то, что ещё остаётся и находится на грани смерти, потому что Я не вижу, чтобы ты продолжал эти свои дела пред Богом Моим. 3 Вспомни, что ты получил и что слышал, подчинись и покайся. Но если ты не пробудишься, то Я приду нежданно, как приходит вор, и ты не узнаешь, когда Я приду к тебе.
4 Однако у тебя в Сардах есть немного людей, которые не запятнали своей одежды. Они будут ходить со Мной в белых одеждах, потому что они достойны этого. 5 Побеждающий будет одет в белую одежду, и Я не вычеркну его имени из книги жизни[a], но признаю его перед Моим Отцом и перед Его ангелами.
6 У кого есть уши, пусть слышит, что Дух говорит общинам верующих».
Общине верующих в Филадельфии
7 – Далее напиши вестнику общины верующих в Филадельфии:
«Так говорит Святой и Истинный, владеющий ключом царя Довуда[b]. Что Он открывает, то уже никто не сможет закрыть, и что Он закрывает, уже никто не сможет открыть.[c]
8 Я знаю твои дела. Смотри, вот Я открыл перед тобой дверь, которую никто не может закрыть.[d] Я знаю, что у тебя мало сил, но ты всё же держался Моего слова и не отрёкся от Моего имени. 9 Тех из сатанинского собрания, кто называет себя иудеями, хотя на самом деле они вовсе не таковы, а всего лишь лжецы, Я заставлю прийти и поклониться тебе в ноги, и они узнают, что Я полюбил тебя.
10 Ты послушал Меня и проявил стойкость, поэтому и Я сохраню тебя от часа испытаний, который придёт на весь мир, чтобы испытать жителей земли. 11 Я приду скоро. Крепко держи то, что у тебя есть, чтобы никто не забрал твой венец. 12 Побеждающего Я сделаю опорой в храме Моего Бога, и он никогда его больше не покинет. Я напишу на нём имя Моего Бога, имя города Моего Бога – нового Иерусалима, который спускается с небес от Моего Бога, – и Моё новое имя!
13 У кого есть уши, пусть слышит, что Дух говорит общинам верующих».
Общине верующих в Лаодикии
14 – Вестнику общины верующих в Лаодикии напиши:
«Так говорит Тот, Чьё имя Аминь, – верный и истинный Свидетель, Источник творения Всевышнего:
15 Я знаю твои дела. Ты ни холоден, ни горяч. О, как хотелось бы, чтобы ты был или холоден, или горяч! 16 Но ты только тёпл, а не горяч и не холоден, и поэтому Я изрыгну тебя из Своего рта. 17 Ты говоришь: “Я богат, я много приобрёл, и мне уже ничего не надо”. Но ты не осознаёшь, что ты несчастен, жалок, нищ, слеп и гол. 18 Я советую тебе купить у Меня золото, очищенное в огне, чтобы разбогатеть; купи и белую одежду, чтобы закрыть свою постыдную наготу; купи глазную мазь и помажь свои глаза, чтобы ты мог видеть.
19 Тех, кого люблю, Я обличаю и наказываю.[e] Поэтому прояви рвение и раскайся.
20 Вот, Я стою у двери и стучу. Кто услышит Мой голос и откроет дверь, к тому Я войду и буду ужинать с ним, а он – со Мной. 21 Побеждающему Я дам право сесть со Мной на Моём троне, как и Я Сам победил и сел с Моим Отцом на Его троне.
22 У кого есть уши, пусть слышит, что Дух говорит общинам верующих».

The Dead Church
3 “And to the [a]angel of the church in Sardis write,
‘These things says He who (A)has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before [b]God. 3 (B)Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and (C)repent. (D)Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you (E)as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 4 [c]You have (F)a few names [d]even in Sardis who have not (G)defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me (H)in white, for they are worthy. 5 He who overcomes (I)shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not (J)blot out his name from the (K)Book of Life; but (L)I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.

‘These things says (N)He who is holy, (O)He who is true, (P)“He who has the key of David, (Q)He who opens and no one shuts, and (R)shuts and no one opens”: 8 (S)“I know your works. See, I have set before you (T)an open door, [f]and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name. 9 Indeed I will make (U)those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie—indeed (V)I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you. 10 Because you have kept [g]My command to persevere, (W)I also will keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon (X)the whole world, to test those who dwell (Y)on the earth. 11 [h]Behold, (Z)I am coming quickly! (AA)Hold fast what you have, that no one may take (AB)your crown. 12 He who overcomes, I will make him (AC)a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall (AD)go out no more. (AJ)‘These things says the Amen, (AK)the Faithful and True Witness, (AL)the Beginning of the creation of God: 15 (AM)“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither [k]cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17 Because you say, (AN)‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18 I counsel you (AO)to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and (AP)white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19 (AQ)As many as I love, I rebuke and (AR)chasten.[l] Therefore be [m]zealous and repent. 20 Behold, (AS)I stand at the door and knock. (AT)If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, (AU)I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. 21 To him who overcomes (AV)I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

The Message to Sardis
3 “To the angel of the church in Sardis write:
“This is the message from the one who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. I know what you are doing; I know that you have the reputation of being alive, even though you are dead! 2 So wake up, and strengthen what you still have before it dies completely. For I find that what you have done is not yet perfect in the sight of my God. 3 (A)Remember, then, what you were taught and what you heard; obey it and turn from your sins. If you do not wake up, I will come upon you like a thief, and you will not even know the time when I will come. 4 But a few of you there in Sardis have kept your clothes clean. You will walk with me, clothed in white, because you are worthy to do so. 5 (B)Those who win the victory will be clothed like this in white, and I will not remove their names from the book of the living. In the presence of my Father and of his angels I will declare openly that they belong to me.
6 “If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches!
The Message to Philadelphia
7 (C)“To the angel of the church in Philadelphia write:
“This is the message from the one who is holy and true. He has the key that belonged to David, and when he opens a door, no one can close it, and when he closes it, no one can open it. 8 I know what you do; I know that you have a little power; you have followed my teaching and have been faithful to me. I have opened a door in front of you, which no one can close. 9 (D)Listen! As for that group that belongs to Satan, those liars who claim that they are Jews but are not, I will make them come and bow down at your feet. They will all know that I love you. 10 Because you have kept my command to endure, I will also keep you safe from the time of trouble which is coming upon the world to test all the people on earth. 11 I am coming soon. Keep safe what you have, so that no one will rob you of your victory prize. 12 (E)I will make those who are victorious pillars in the temple of my God, and they will never leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which will come down out of heaven from my God. I will also write on them my new name.
13 “If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches!
The Message to Laodicea
14 (F)“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write:
“This is the message from the Amen, the faithful and true witness, who is the origin[a] of all that God has created. 15 I know what you have done; I know that you are neither cold nor hot. How I wish you were either one or the other! 16 But because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am going to spit you out of my mouth! 17 You say, ‘I am rich and well off; I have all I need.’ But you do not know how miserable and pitiful you are! You are poor, naked, and blind. 18 I advise you, then, to buy gold from me, pure gold, in order to be rich. Buy also white clothing to dress yourself and cover up your shameful nakedness. Buy also some ointment to put on your eyes, so that you may see. 19 (G)I rebuke and punish all whom I love. Be in earnest, then, and turn from your sins. 20 Listen! I stand at the door and knock; if any hear my voice and open the door, I will come into their house and eat with them, and they will eat with me. 21 To those who win the victory I will give the right to sit beside me on my throne, just as I have been victorious and now sit by my Father on his throne.
22 “If you have ears, then, listen to what the Spirit says to the churches!”
