9 (A)Видях Господа, че стоеше при олтара и каза:
Удари капителите, за да се потресат праговете,
и ги разтроши върху главата на всички тях;
а останалите от тях ще погубя с меч;
който от тях бяга, няма да избяга,
и който от тях иска да се спаси, няма да се спаси.
2 (B)Ако изкопаят до ада,
и оттам ръката Ми ще ги изтръгне;
и ако се изкачат на небето,
и оттам ще ги сваля.
3 (C)Ако се скрият навръх Кармил,
ще ги издиря и ще ги взема оттам.
И ако се скрият от очите Ми в морските дълбочини,
там ще заповядам на змията и ще ги ухапе.
4 (D)Ако отидат в плен пред неприятелите си,
там ще заповядам на меча и ще ги убие.
И ще насоча очите Си върху тях за зло, а не за добро.
5 (E)Защото Господ Йехова на Силите е Онзи,
Който се допира до земята и тя се топи,
така че всички, които живеят на нея, ще жалеят,
защото тя цяла ще се издига като Нил
и ще спада пак като Египетската река.
6 (F)Той е, Който гради покоите Си на небето
и основава свода Си на земята;
Който повиква морските води
и ги излива по лицето на земята;
Йехова е името Му.
7 (G)Вие, израилтяни, казва Господ,
не сте ли за Мене като етиопци?
Не изведох ли както Израил от Египетската земя,
така и филистимците от Кафтор
и сирийците от Кир?
8 (H)Ето, очите на Господа Йехова са върху грешното царство
и ще го погубя от лицето на света;
само че няма да погубя съвсем Якововия дом, казва Господ.
9 Защото, ето, Аз ще заповядам
и ще пресея Израилевия дом между всички народи,
както се пресява житото в решето;
обаче ни най-малко зърно няма да падне на земята.
10 (I)От Мене ще измрат всичките грешници между народа Ми,
които казват: Това зло няма да стигне до нас,
нито ще ни изпревари.

11 (J)В онзи ден ще въздигна падналата Давидова скиния
и ще затворя проломите ѝ;
ще издигна развалините ѝ
и ще я съградя пак, както в древните дни,
12 (K)за да завладеят останалите от Едом
и всички народи, които се наричаха с името Ми,
казва Господ, Който прави това.
13 (L)Ето, идват дни, казва Господ,
когато орачът ще стигне жътваря
и линотъпкачът – сеяча,
от планините ще капе младо вино
и всички хълмове ще се стопят.
14 (M)И Аз ще върна от плен народа Си Израил;
те ще съградят запустелите градове и ще ги населят,
ще насадят лозя и ще пият виното им,
и ще направят градини и ще ядат от плода им.
15 (N)И те няма вече да бъдат изтръгнати от земята,
която им дадох, казва Господ, твоят Бог.

Israel va fi distrus
9 L-am văzut pe Stăpânul stând lângă altar. El a zis:
„Loveşte capitelurile stâlpilor,
ca să se clatine pragurile!
Năruieşte-le peste capetele tuturor!
Pe cei ce vor scăpa îi voi ucide cu sabia.
Nici unul dintre ei nu va putea să fugă
şi nici unul nu va reuşi să scape.
2 Chiar dacă ar săpa până în Locuinţa Morţilor[a],
şi de acolo mâna Mea îi va apuca!
Chiar dacă s-ar sui în ceruri,
şi de acolo îi voi coborî!
3 Chiar dacă s-ar ascunde pe vârful Carmelului
şi acolo îi voi căuta şi-i voi lua!
Chiar dacă s-ar ascunde dinaintea ochilor Mei pe fundul mării,
şi acolo voi porunci şarpelui[b] să-i muşte!
4 Chiar dacă ar merge în captivitate în faţa duşmanilor lor,
şi acolo voi porunci sabiei să-i ucidă!
Îmi voi aţinti privirea asupra lor,
ca să le fac rău, şi nu bine!“
5 Stăpânul, Domnul Oştirilor,
este Cel Ce atinge pământul, şi el se topeşte,
iar toţi locuitorii lui jelesc.
Tot ce este în el se învolburează precum Nilul
şi se retrage ca Râul Egiptului.
6 El este Cel Ce Şi-a zidit scările[c] în ceruri
şi Şi-a întemeiat bolta[d] deasupra pământului!
El este Cel Ce cheamă apele mării
şi le revarsă pe suprafaţa pământului!
Domnul este Numele Lui!
7 „Israeliţilor, nu sunteţi voi pentru Mine
ca şi cuşiţii[e]? zice Domnul.
Nu l-am scos Eu pe Israel din ţara Egiptului
cum i-am scos pe filisteni din Caftor[f]
şi pe aramei din Chir?
8 Iată, ochii Stăpânului Domn
sunt peste regatul păcătos!
Îl voi nimici
de pe faţa pământului!
Totuşi nu voi nimici de tot
Casa lui Iacov, zice Domnul.
9 Căci iată că Eu voi porunci
şi voi scutura Casa lui Israel
între toate neamurile,
aşa cum se scutură ciurul,
fără să cadă nici un bob pe pământ!
10 De sabie vor pieri
toţi păcătoşii din poporul Meu,
toţi cei ce zic:
«Nu se va apropia de noi nenorocirea şi nu ne va ajunge!»
Restaurarea lui Israel
11 În ziua aceea, voi ridica
cortul căzut al lui David.
Îi voi repara crăpăturile,
îi voi ridica ruinele
şi-l voi reclădi aşa cum era în vremurile de odinioară,
12 ca astfel să ia în stăpânire rămăşiţa Edomului[g],
precum şi toate neamurile peste care este chemat Numele Meu“,
zice Domnul, Cel Care face aceste lucruri.
13 „Iată, vin zile, zice Domnul,
când cel ce ară îl va ajunge pe cel ce culege,
iar negustorul de struguri – pe cel ce împrăştie sămânţa.
Munţii vor picura must,
iar acesta se va scurge din toate dealurile.
14 Îi voi aduce înapoi pe captivii poporului Meu, Israel;
ei vor rezidi cetăţile pustiite şi vor locui în ele.
Vor planta vii şi vor bea din vinul lor;
vor sădi grădini şi vor mânca din roadele lor.
15 Eu îi voi sădi în patria lor
şi nu vor mai fi dezrădăcinaţi
din ţara pe care le-am dat-o“,
zice Domnul, Dumnezeul tău.

Israel to Be Destroyed
9 I saw the Lord standing by the altar, and he said:
“Strike the tops of the pillars
so that the thresholds shake.
Bring them down on the heads(A) of all the people;
those who are left I will kill with the sword.
Not one will get away,
none will escape.(B)
2 Though they dig down to the depths below,(C)
from there my hand will take them.
Though they climb up to the heavens above,(D)
from there I will bring them down.(E)
3 Though they hide themselves on the top of Carmel,(F)
there I will hunt them down and seize them.(G)
Though they hide from my eyes at the bottom of the sea,(H)
there I will command the serpent(I) to bite them.(J)
4 Though they are driven into exile by their enemies,
there I will command the sword(K) to slay them.
5 The Lord, the Lord Almighty—
he touches the earth and it melts,(O)
and all who live in it mourn;
the whole land rises like the Nile,
then sinks like the river of Egypt;(P)
6 he builds his lofty palace[a](Q) in the heavens
and sets its foundation[b] on the earth;
he calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out over the face of the land—
the Lord is his name.(R)
7 “Are not you Israelites
the same to me as the Cushites[c]?”(S)
declares the Lord.
“Did I not bring Israel up from Egypt,
the Philistines(T) from Caphtor[d](U)
and the Arameans from Kir?(V)
8 “Surely the eyes of the Sovereign Lord
are on the sinful kingdom.
I will destroy(W) it
from the face of the earth.
Yet I will not totally destroy
the descendants of Jacob,”
declares the Lord.(X)
9 “For I will give the command,
and I will shake the people of Israel
among all the nations
as grain(Y) is shaken in a sieve,(Z)
and not a pebble will reach the ground.(AA)
10 All the sinners among my people
will die by the sword,(AB)
all those who say,
‘Disaster will not overtake or meet us.’(AC)
Israel’s Restoration
11 “In that day
“I will restore David’s(AD) fallen shelter(AE)—
I will repair its broken walls
and restore its ruins(AF)—
and will rebuild it as it used to be,(AG)
12 so that they may possess the remnant of Edom(AH)
and all the nations that bear my name,[e](AI)”
declares the Lord, who will do these things.(AJ)
13 “The days are coming,”(AK) declares the Lord,
“when the reaper(AL) will be overtaken by the plowman(AM)
and the planter by the one treading(AN) grapes.
New wine(AO) will drip from the mountains
and flow from all the hills,(AP)
14 and I will bring(AQ) my people Israel back from exile.[f](AR)
“They will rebuild the ruined cities(AS) and live in them.
They will plant vineyards(AT) and drink their wine;
they will make gardens and eat their fruit.(AU)
15 I will plant(AV) Israel in their own land,(AW)
never again to be uprooted(AX)
from the land I have given them,”(AY)
says the Lord your God.(AZ)
