2 Maccabees 8:15
Imprimir
They asked that God do this, if not for their sake then for the sake of the covenants with their ancestors, and because he had called them by his revered and glorious name.
And if not for their sakes, yet for the covenant that he had made with their fathers, and for the sake of his holy and glorious name that was invoked upon them.
They prayed that if God was not willing to do this for their sake alone, he might be willing to rescue them because of the covenants he had made with their ancestors, and because he, the great and wonderful God, had called them to be his people.
They entreated the Lord to do this, if not for their sake, at least for the sake of the covenants made with their ancestors, and because they themselves invoked his holy and glorious name.
and to do so, if not for their own sake, then at least out of consideration for the covenants made with their ancestors and because they themselves bore his sacred and majestic name.
if not for their own sake, then for the sake of the covenants made with their ancestors, and because he had called them by his holy and glorious name.
if not for their own sake, then for the sake of the covenants made with their ancestors, and because he had called them by his holy and glorious name.
if not for their own sake, then for the sake of the covenants made with their ancestors, and because he had called them by his holy and glorious name.
if not for their own sake, then for the sake of the covenants made with their ancestors and because he had called them by his holy and glorious name.
if not for their own sake, yet for the sake of the covenants made with their fathers, and because he had called them by his holy and glorious name.
if not for their own sake, yet for the sake of the covenants made with their fathers, and because he had called them by his holy and glorious name.
and though not for them(selves), but for the testament (or for the covenant) that was to (or with) the fathers of them, and for the calling to help of his holy name and great on them.
