Psalm 92

Praise for the Lord’s Goodness.

A Psalm, a Song for the Sabbath day.

92 It is ^(A)good to give thanks to the Lord
And to ^(B)sing praises to Your name, Most High;
²To ^(C)declare Your goodness in the morning
And Your ^(D)faithfulness by ^[a]night,
³^[b]With the ^(E)ten-stringed lute and ^[c]with the ^(F)harp,
^[d]With resounding music on the ^(G)lyre.
⁴For You, Lord, have made me joyful by ^[e]what You ^(H)have done,
I will ^(I)sing for joy over the ^(J)works of Your hands.

⁵How ^(K)great are Your works, Lord!
Your ^[f]^(L)thoughts are very ^(M)deep.
⁶A ^(N)stupid person has no knowledge,
Nor does a ^(O)foolish person understand this:
⁷When the wicked ^(P)sprouted up like grass
And all ^(Q)who did injustice flourished,
It was only that they might be ^(R)destroyed forevermore.
⁸But You, Lord, are ^(S)on high forever.
⁹For, behold, Your enemies, Lord,
For, behold, ^(T)Your enemies will perish;
All who do injustice will be ^(U)scattered.

¹⁰But You have exalted my ^(V)horn like that of the wild ox;
I have ^[g]been ^(W)anointed with fresh oil.
¹¹And my eye has ^(X)looked at my enemies,
My ears hear of the evildoers who rise up against me.
¹²The ^(Y)righteous person will ^[h]flourish like the palm tree,
He will grow like a ^(Z)cedar in Lebanon.
¹³^(AA)Planted in the house of the Lord,
They will flourish ^(AB)in the courtyards of our God.
¹⁴They will still ^[i]^(AC)yield fruit in advanced age;
They will be ^[j]full of sap and very green,
¹⁵To ^[k]declare that ^(AD)the Lord is just;
He is my ^(AE)rock, and there is ^(AF)no malice in Him.

Israel Invoked to Praise the Lord.

149 ^[a]Praise ^[b]the Lord!
Sing a ^(A)new song to the Lord,
And His praise ^(B)in the congregation of the godly ones.
²Israel shall be joyful in ^(C)his Maker;
The sons of Zion shall rejoice in their ^(D)King.
³They shall praise His name with ^(E)dancing;
They shall sing praises to Him with ^(F)tambourine and lyre.
⁴For the Lord ^(G)takes pleasure in His people;
He will ^(H)glorify the lowly with salvation.

⁵The ^(I)godly ones shall be jubilant in glory;
They shall ^(J)sing for joy on their beds.
⁶The ^(K)high praises of God shall be in their ^[c]mouths,
And a ^(L)two-edged ^(M)sword in their hands,
⁷To ^(N)execute vengeance on the nations,
And punishment on the peoples,
⁸To bind their kings ^(O)with chains,
And their ^(P)dignitaries with shackles of iron,
⁹To ^(Q)execute against them the judgment written.
This is an ^(R)honor for all His godly ones.

Offerings for the Sanctuary

25 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ²“^(A)Tell the sons of Israel to take a ^[a]contribution for Me; ^(B)from everyone whose heart moves him you shall take My ^[b]contribution. ³This is the ^[c]contribution which you are to take from them: gold, silver, and bronze, ⁴^[d]^(C)violet, purple, and scarlet material, fine linen, goat hair, ⁵rams’ skins dyed red, ^[e]fine leather, acacia wood, ⁶^(D)oil for lighting, ^(E)balsam oil for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, ⁷onyx stones and setting stones for the ^(F)ephod and for the ^[f]^(G)breastpiece. ⁸Have them ^(H)construct a sanctuary for Me, ^(I)so that I may dwell among them. ⁹^(J)According to all that I am going to show you as the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furniture, so you shall construct it.

Ark of the Covenant

¹⁰“Now ^(K)they shall construct an ^[g]ark of acacia wood ^[h]two and a half cubits ^[i]long, one and a half cubits ^[j]wide, and one and a half cubits ^[k]high. ¹¹You shall ^(L)overlay it with pure gold, inside and out you shall overlay it, and you shall make a gold molding ^[l]around it. ¹²You shall also cast four gold rings for it and ^[m]fasten them on its four feet; two rings shall be on one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. ¹³And you shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. ¹⁴You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark, to carry the ark with them. ¹⁵The ^(M)poles shall ^[n]remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be removed from it. ¹⁶You shall ^(N)put into the ark the testimony which I shall give you.

¹⁷“And you shall ^(O)make ^[o]an atoning cover of pure gold, ^[p]two and a half cubits ^[q]long and one and a half cubits ^[r]wide. ¹⁸You shall make two cherubim of gold; make them of hammered work ^[s]at the two ends of the atoning cover. ¹⁹Make one cherub ^[t]at one end and one cherub ^[u]at the other end; you shall make the cherubim of one piece ^[v]with the atoning cover at its two ends. ²⁰And ^(P)the cherubim shall have their wings spread upward, covering the atoning cover with their wings and ^[w]facing one another; the faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the atoning cover. ²¹Then ^(Q)you shall put the atoning cover ^[x]on top of the ark, and ^(R)in the ark you shall put the testimony which I will give to you. ²²^(S)There I will meet with you; and from above the atoning cover, from ^(T)between the two cherubim which are upon the ark of the testimony, I will speak to you about ^[y]every commandment that I will give you for the sons of Israel.

Colossians 3:1-17

Put On the New Self

3 Therefore, if you have been ^(A)raised with Christ, keep seeking the things that are above, where Christ is, ^(B)seated at the right hand of God. ²^[a]^(C)Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth. ³For you have ^(D)died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. ⁴When Christ, ^(E)who is our life, is revealed, ^(F)then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

¹²So, as those who have been ^(Z)chosen of God, holy and beloved, ^(AA)put on a ^(AB)heart of compassion, kindness, ^(AC)humility, gentleness, and ^[l]^(AD)patience; ¹³^(AE)bearing with one another, and ^(AF)forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; ^(AG)just as the Lord forgave you, so must you do also. ¹⁴In addition to all these things put on love, which is ^[m]^(AH)the perfect bond of ^(AI)unity. ¹⁵Let ^(AJ)the peace of Christ, to which you were ^[n]indeed called in ^(AK)one body, ^[o]rule in your hearts; and ^[p]be thankful. ¹⁶Let ^(AL)the word of ^[q]Christ richly dwell within you, ^[r]with all wisdom ^(AM)teaching and admonishing ^[s]one another ^(AN)with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, ^(AO)singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. ¹⁷^(AP)Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, ^(AQ)giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

The First Disciples

¹⁸^(A)Now as Jesus was walking by ^(B)the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, ^(C)Simon, who was called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. ¹⁹And He *said to them, “^[a]Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of people.” ²⁰Immediately they left their nets and followed Him. ²¹Going on from there He saw two other brothers, ^[b]^(D)James the son of Zebedee, and his brother ^[c]John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets; and He called them. ²²Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

Ministry in Galilee

²³Jesus was going ^(E)about in all of Galilee, ^(F)teaching in their synagogues and ^(G)proclaiming the ^[d]gospel of the kingdom, and ^(H)healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

²⁴And the news about Him spread ^(I)throughout Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and severe pain, ^(J)demon-possessed, people with ^(K)epilepsy, and people who were ^(L)paralyzed; and He healed them. ²⁵Large crowds ^(M)followed Him from Galilee and ^(N)the Decapolis, and Jerusalem, and Judea, and from ^(O)beyond the Jordan.
