Psalm 145:8-21

New International Version

⁸The Lord is gracious and compassionate,^(A)
slow to anger and rich in love.^(B)

⁹The Lord is good^(C) to all;
    he has compassion^(D) on all he has made.
¹⁰All your works praise you,^(E) Lord;
    your faithful people extol^(F) you.^(G)
¹¹They tell of the glory of your kingdom^(H)
    and speak of your might,^(I)
¹²so that all people may know of your mighty acts^(J)
    and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.^(K)
¹³Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,^(L)
    and your dominion endures through all generations.

The Lord is trustworthy^(M) in all he promises^(N)
    and faithful in all he does.^[a]
¹⁴The Lord upholds^(O) all who fall
    and lifts up all^(P) who are bowed down.^(Q)
¹⁵The eyes of all look to you,
    and you give them their food^(R) at the proper time.
¹⁶You open your hand
    and satisfy the desires^(S) of every living thing.

¹⁷The Lord is righteous^(T) in all his ways
    and faithful in all he does.^(U)
¹⁸The Lord is near^(V) to all who call on him,^(W)
    to all who call on him in truth.
¹⁹He fulfills the desires^(X) of those who fear him;^(Y)
    he hears their cry^(Z) and saves them.^(AA)
²⁰The Lord watches over^(AB) all who love him,^(AC)
    but all the wicked he will destroy.^(AD)

²¹My mouth will speak^(AE) in praise of the Lord.
Let every creature^(AF) praise his holy name^(AG)
for ever and ever.

Revelation 20:11-15

New International Version

The Judgment of the Dead

¹¹Then I saw a great white throne^(A) and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence,^(B) and there was no place for them. ¹²And I saw the dead, great and small,^(C) standing before the throne, and books were opened.^(D) Another book was opened, which is the book of life.^(E) The dead were judged^(F) according to what they had done^(G) as recorded in the books. ¹³The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades^(H) gave up the dead^(I) that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.^(J) ¹⁴Then death^(K) and Hades^(L) were thrown into the lake of fire.^(M) The lake of fire is the second death.^(N) ¹⁵Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life^(O) was thrown into the lake of fire.
