7 (A)Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
8 (B)If I ascend to heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in [a]Sheol, behold, (C)You are there.
9 If I take up the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
10 Even there Your hand will (D)lead me,
And Your right hand will take hold of me.
11 If I say, “Surely the (E)darkness will [b]overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,”
12 Even (F)darkness is not dark [c]to You,
And the night is as bright as the day.
(G)Darkness and light are alike to You.

11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,”
12 even the darkness will not be dark(F) to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.

If I take the wings of the dawn,
If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,

Even there Your hand will lead me,
And Your right hand will take hold of me.

If I say, “Surely the darkness will cover me,
And the night will be the only light around me,”
12
Even the darkness is not dark to You and conceals nothing from You,
But the night shines as bright as the day;
Darkness and light are alike to You.(B)

7 Para onde me irei do teu Espírito ou para onde fugirei da tua face? 8 Se subir ao céu, tu aí estás; se fizer no Seol a minha cama, eis que tu ali estás também; 9 se tomar as asas da alva, se habitar nas extremidades do mar, 10 até ali a tua mão me guiará e a tua destra me susterá. 11 Se disser: decerto que as trevas me encobrirão; então, a noite será luz à roda de mim. 12 Nem ainda as trevas me escondem de ti; mas a noite resplandece como o dia; as trevas e a luz são para ti a mesma coisa.

Para onde poderia fugir da tua presença?
8 Se eu subir aos céus, lá estás;
se eu fizer a minha cama na sepultura[a],
também lá estás.
9 Se eu subir com as asas da alvorada
e morar na extremidade do mar,
10 mesmo ali a tua mão direita me guiará
e me susterá.
11 Mesmo que eu diga que as trevas
me encobrirão,
e que a luz se tornará noite ao meu redor,
12 verei que nem as trevas são escuras para ti.
A noite brilhará como o dia,
pois para ti as trevas são luz.
