16 But Peter continued knocking, and when they opened the door and saw him, they were astonished. 17 And he motioned to them with his hand to hold their peace, and told them by what means the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go, and tell these things to James and to the brethren.

And he departed, and went to another place.

18 As soon as it was day, there was no little ado among the soldiers about what had become of Peter.

18 In the morning, there was no small commotion among the soldiers as to what had become of Peter.
