Don't You Know the Choice to Be Made? (4:4-12)

As James poses (in 4:4) the third question of this section, I paraphrase it in order to display the heart of the matter. James has placed the problems of selfish ambition and fighting under his spotlight in 3:13-18 and 4:1-3. Now he addresses what to do about the problems. In light of the preceding paragraphs, a choice must be made between friendship with God and friendship with the world.
