JEREMIEL jĕr ə mī’ əl (̓Ιερεμιήλ). The archangel who answers the questions asked by the righteous dead (2 Esd 4:36). He is perhaps identical with Ramiel of 2 Baruch 55:3 and Remiel of 1 Enoch 20:8.
