HIND OF THE MORNING (אַיֶּ֥לֶת הַשַּׁ֗חַר, Ps. 22: title Eng.) Another way of rendering this might be the “doe of the dawn.” This is either the name of a particular melody which was popular in the day of the psalmist and was the cue to the way the psalm should be sung, or it is some type of technical musical term. Since this is the only place this title occurs, it is best to leave it untranslated as has the NASB.
