Psalm 4

V 1: SUPPLICATION David prays to be heard, and for God’s mercy. V 2–3: SEPARATE He knows that God has set him apart from his enemies and will listen to his prayers. V 4–5: SACRIFICE David urges meditation and to offer God the sacrifice He treasures most, that of a righteous trust in Him. V 6–8: SAFETY Despite the despair of others, in the light of God’s light, David knows that God can keep him safely.
