Proverbs 4

V 1–27: SUMMARY Parental guidance, doctrine, wisdom, separation from wicked people, guidance, healthy heart, talk, deviation.

V 23–24: GUARD It is vital to keep your heart diligently in touch with God. Never practise deceit or perverseness in the words you use. Guard your heart and your lips. V 25: GAZE Look straight ahead to the Lord. V 26–27: GO By God’s grace, you can then ponder your paths properly and go straight ahead, avoiding evil and honouring God.
