Uriel

Uriel [Ū'rĭel]—a light, flame of god or god is my light or fire.

  1. A Levite of the family of Kohath, son of Tahath, of the house of Izhar (1 Chron. 6:24; 15:5, 11).
  2. A man of Gibeah, father of Michaiah, one of Rehoboam’s wives (2 Chron. 13:2).

In the Apocrypha Uriel is one of four archangels responsible for the luminaries of heaven, and the angel with whom Jacob wrestled.
