Segub [Sē'gub]—exalted, protection or fortified.

  1. The youngest son of Hiel the Benjamite who rebuilt Jericho, and who was possibly sacrificed by his father when the gates were set up in defiance of a curse (1 Kings 16:34).
  2. A son of Hezron, grandson of Judah (1 Chron. 2:21, 22).
