Pharaoh-Necho or Nechoh [Phā'raōh-nē'chō,Phā'raōh-nē'choh]—pharaoh the lame. A king of Egypt who fought against Nabopolassar, king of Assyria, slew King Josiah at Megiddo, bound Jehoahaz at Riblah and made Eliakim his brother king in his stead (2 Kings 23:29, 33-35; Jer. 37:5, 7; 46:2).
