Azgad [Ăz'găd]—worship, supplication or strong of fortune.

  1. Founder of a family that returned with Ezra and Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:12; Neh. 7:17).
  2. One who returned from exile with Ezra (8:12).
  3. A chief of a family of Jews who sealed the covenant (Neh. 10:15).
