1 ਇਤਹਾਸ 17:13-14
13 ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ, ਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਹਟਾਅ ਲਈ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਵ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ। 14 ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ-ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਲਈ ਅਚੱਲ ਰਹੇਗਾ।’”
