O God, Restore Us

80 O (A)Shepherd of Israel, give ear,
You who guide (B)Joseph like a flock;
You who (C)are enthroned above the cherubim, shine forth!
2 Before (D)Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, (E)stir up Your might
And come to save us!
3 O God, (F)restore us
And (G)cause Your face to shine upon us, that we would be saved.
4 O (H)Yahweh God of hosts,
(I)How long will You [c]smolder against the prayer of Your people?
5 You have fed them with the (J)bread of tears,
And You have made them to drink tears in [d]large measure.
6 You set us as [e]an object of strife (K)to our neighbors,
And our enemies mock us among themselves.
7 O God of hosts, restore us
And cause Your face to shine upon us, that we might be saved.
David Magnifies Yahweh’s Name
18 Then David the king went in and sat before Yahweh, and he said, “(A)Who am I, O Lord Yahweh, and what is my house, that You have brought me this far? 19 And yet this was a small thing in Your eyes, O Lord Yahweh, (B)for You have spoken also of the house of Your slave concerning the distant future. And (C)this is the law of man, O Lord Yahweh. 20 And again what more can David say to You? And (D)You know Your slave, O Lord Yahweh! 21 (E)For the sake of Your word, and according to Your own heart, You have done all this greatness to let Your slave know. 22 For this reason (F)You are great, O Lord Yahweh; for (G)there is none like You, and there is no God besides You, (H)according to all that we have heard with our ears.

4 Now I say, as long as the heir is a [a]child, he does not differ at all from a slave although he is [b]owner of everything, 2 but he is under guardians and stewards until the date set by the father. 3 So also we, while we were children, were (A)enslaved under the [c](B)elemental things of the world. 4 But when (C)the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, (D)born of a woman, born (E)under [d]the Law, 5 so that He might redeem those who were under [e]the Law, that we might receive the adoption as (F)sons. 6 And because you are sons, (G)God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “(H)Abba! Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and (I)if a son, then an heir [f]through God.
