12 And in that day thou shalt say, I will give thanks unto thee, O Jehovah; for though thou wast angry with me, ^[a]thine anger is turned away and thou comfortest me. ² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid: for ^[b]Jehovah, even Jehovah, is my strength and song; and he is become my salvation. ³ Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. ⁴ And in that day shall ye say, Give thanks unto Jehovah, ^[c]call upon his name, declare his doings among the peoples, make mention that his name is exalted. ⁵ Sing unto Jehovah; for he hath done ^[d]excellent things: ^[e]let this be known in all the earth. ⁶ Cry aloud and shout, thou ^[f]inhabitant of Zion; for great in the midst of thee is the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁴ And ^[a]he will say, Cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people. ¹⁵ For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy: I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite. ¹⁶ For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls that I have made. ¹⁷ For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him; I hid my face and was wroth; and he went on ^[b]backsliding in the way of his heart. ¹⁸ I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and ^[c]restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. ¹⁹ I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace, to him that is far off and to him that is near, saith Jehovah; and I will heal him. ²⁰ But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it cannot rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt. ²¹ There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

¹⁸ For ^[a]the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who ^[b]hinder the truth in unrighteousness; ¹⁹ because that which is known of God is manifest in them; for God manifested it unto them. ²⁰ For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; ^[c]that they may be without excuse: ²¹ because that, knowing God, they glorified him not as God, neither gave thanks; but became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. ²² Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, ²³ and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.

²⁴ Wherefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves: ²⁵ for that they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed ^[d]for ever. Amen.
