帖撒羅尼迦後書 1:1-4
問安
1 保羅、賽拉斯、提摩太，
致那在神我們的父和主耶穌基督裡的帖撒羅尼迦人的教會：
2 願恩典與平安從神我們的父和主耶穌基督臨到你們！
主的報償
3 弟兄們，我們應該為你們常常感謝神，這樣做是合宜的，因為你們的信仰格外增長，你們大家每一個人彼此的愛也在增加。 4 所以，我們自己在神的各教會中以你們誇耀，因為你們在一切的逼迫和患難中保持著你們的忍耐和信仰。
帖撒羅尼迦後書 1:11-12
11 為此，我們也常常為你們禱告：願我們的神把你們看為配得他的召喚，並且以他的大能成全你們一切美好的心願和一切信仰的行為， 12 好使我們主耶穌[a]的名，照著我們的神和主耶穌基督的恩典，因你們得著榮耀，你們也因他得著榮耀。
路加福音 19:1-10
耶穌與撒該
19 耶穌進了耶利哥，從城裡經過， 2 看哪，有一個名叫撒該的人，是個稅吏長，很富有。 3 他很想看看耶穌是什麼樣的人，可是因為他身材矮小，從人群中無法看到耶穌。 4 於是他跑到前頭，爬上一棵桑樹，要看耶穌，因為耶穌就要從那裡經過。 5 耶穌來到那地方時，抬頭一看，[a]對他說：「撒該，快下來！因為我今天必須住在你家裡。」
6 撒該就急忙下來，快快樂樂地接待耶穌。 7 大家看見，就抱怨說：「他竟然到一個罪人家裡去借宿。」
8 撒該站著對主說：「主啊，請看，我要把我財產的一半分給窮人。我如果勒索過誰的東西，就償還四倍。」
9 耶穌對他說：「今天救恩臨到了這一家，因為他也是亞伯拉罕的子孫。 10 要知道，人子來，是為了尋找並拯救迷失的人。」
