Version
Jeremiah 29:1

29 ¶ Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests and to the prophets and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

Jeremiah 29:4-7

Thus hath the LORD of the hosts the God of Israel said, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon,

Build houses and dwell in them; and plant gardens and eat the fruit of them;

take wives and beget sons and daughters; give wives unto your sons and give husbands unto your daughters, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be multiplied there and not diminished.

And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it; for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

Psalm 66:1-12

To the Overcomer, A Song or Psalm.

¶ Make a joyful noise unto God, all the earth;

sing forth the glory of his name; put glory into thy praise.

Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

All the earth shall worship thee and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.

Come and see the works of God; he is terrible in his doing toward the sons of men.

He turned the sea into dry land; they went through the river on foot; there did we rejoice in him.

He rules by his power for ever; his eyes watch the Gentiles; the rebellious shall not exalt themselves. Selah.

¶ O bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard.

It is he who placed our soul into life and did not suffer our feet to slip.

10 For thou, O God, hast proved us; thou hast refined us as silver is refined.

11 Thou didst bring us into the net; thou didst lay affliction upon our loins.

12 Thou hast placed a man over our head; we went through fire and through water, but thou didst bring us out into abundance.

2 Timothy 2:8-15

¶ Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead, according to my gospel,

in which I suffer trouble, like unto an evil doer, even unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.

10 Therefore, I endure all things for the sake of the elect, that they may also obtain the saving health which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

11 This is a faithful word: That if we are dead with him, we shall also live with him;

12 if we suffer, we shall also reign with him; if we deny him, he also will deny us;

13 if we are unfaithful, yet he remains faithful; he cannot deny himself.

14 ¶ Counsel these things, charging them before the Lord. Strive not in words that profit nothing, but rather subvert the hearers.

15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that has nothing to be ashamed of, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Luke 17:11-19

11 ¶ And it came to pass as he went to Jerusalem that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.

12 And as he entered into a certain village, ten men that were lepers met him, who stood afar off

13 and lifted up their voices and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.

14 When he saw them, he said unto them, Go show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed.

15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back and with a loud voice glorified God

16 and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks; and he was a Samaritan.

17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

18 Were there not found any returning to give glory to God, except this stranger?

19 And he said unto him, Arise, go; thy faith has saved thee.
