Revised Common Lectionary (Semicontinuous)
GIMEL.
17 ¶ Deal bountifully with thy slave that I may live and keep thy word.
18 ¶ Open my eyes, and I shall behold the wonders of thy law.
19 ¶ I am a stranger in the earth; hide not thy commandments from me.
20 ¶ My soul is broken from desiring thy judgments at all times.
21 ¶ Thou hast reprehended the proud; cursed are those who err from thy commandments.
22 ¶ Remove from me reproach and contempt, for I have kept thy testimonies.
23 ¶ Princes also sat and spoke against me as thy slave spoke according to thy statutes.
24 ¶ For thy testimonies are my delight and my counsellors.
DALETH.
25 ¶ My soul cleaves unto the dust; quicken me according to thy word.
26 ¶ I have declared my ways, and thou didst hear me; teach me thy statutes.
27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts; so I shall meditate of thy wondrous works.
28 ¶ My soul melts for heaviness; strengthen me according to thy word.
29 Remove from me the way of lying, and from thy law grant me mercy.
30 ¶ I have chosen the way of truth; I have laid thy judgments before me.
31 I have stuck unto thy testimonies; O LORD, put me not to shame.
32 I will run the way of thy commandments when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
7 ¶ Thus hath the Lord GOD showed unto me, and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter hay; and, behold that the latter hay grew after the king’s reapings.
2 And it came to pass that when they had come to an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee; who shall lift up Jacob? for he is small.
3 The LORD repented of this; It shall not be, said the LORD.
4 Afterward the Lord GOD showed me this: And, behold, the Lord GOD called to judge by fire, and it devoured the great deep and ate up the inheritance.
5 Then said I, O Lord GOD, cease, I beseech thee; who shall raise up Jacob? for he is small.
6 The LORD repented of this: This also shall not be, said the Lord GOD.
27 to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery in the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,
28 whom we preach, warning every man and teaching in all wisdom that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus,
29 in which I continue to labour, contending according to his operation, which he works in me mightily.
2 ¶ For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,
2 that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in charity and in all the riches of the fulfilled understanding to know the mystery of the God and Father and of the Christ;
3 in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
4 ¶ And this I say lest anyone should beguile you with enticing words.
5 For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
6 Therefore in the manner in which ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him,
7 rooted and built up in him and confirmed in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
