Psalm 119:17-32

GIMEL

17 Be beneficial unto thy servant, that I may [a]live and keep thy word.

18 Open mine eyes, that I may see the wonders of thy Law.

19 I am a [b]stranger upon earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

20 Mine heart breaketh for the desire to thy judgments always.

21 Thou [c]hast destroyed the proud: cursed are they that do err from thy commandments.

22 Remove from me shame and contempt: for I have kept thy testimonies.

23 [d]Princes also did sit, and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

24 Also thy testimonies are my delight, and my counselors.

DALETH

25 My soul cleaveth to the [e]dust: quicken me according to thy word.

26 I have [f]declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.

27 Make me to understand the way of thy precepts, and I will meditate in thy wondrous works.

28 My soul melteth for heaviness: raise me up according to thy [g]word.

29 Take from me the [h]way of lying, and grant me graciously thy Law.

30 I have chosen the way of truth, and thy judgments have I laid before me.

31 I have cleaved to thy testimonies, O Lord: confound me not.

32 I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou [i]shalt enlarge mine heart.

Amos 7:1-6

God showeth certain visions, whereby he signifieth the destruction of the people of Israel. 10 The false accusation of Amaziah, 12 His crafty counsel.

Thus hath the Lord God showed unto me, and behold, he formed [a]grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth: and lo, it was in the latter growth [b]after the King’s mowing.

And when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord God, spare, I beseech thee: who shall raise up Jacob? for he is small.

So the Lord [c]repented for this. It shall not be, saith the Lord.

¶ Thus also hath the Lord God showed unto me, and behold, the Lord God called to judgment by fire, [d]and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part.

Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee: who shall raise up Jacob? for he is small.

So the Lord repented for this. This also shall not be, saith the Lord God.

Colossians 1:27-2:7

27 To whom God [a]would make known what is the riches of his glorious mystery among the Gentiles, which riches is Christ in you, the hope of glory,

28 [b]Whom we preach, admonishing every man, and teaching every man in [c]all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

29 Whereunto I also labor and strive, according to his working which worketh in me mightily.

4 He condemneth, as vain, whatsoever is without Christ,  11 entreating specially of circumcision, 16 of abstinence from meats, 18 and of worshipping of Angels. 20 That we are delivered from the traditions of the Law through Christ.

For I [d]would ye knew what great fighting I have for your sakes, and for them of Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my [e]person in the flesh.

[f]That [g]their hearts might be comforted, and they knit together in love, and in all riches of the [h]full assurance of understanding, to know the mystery of God, even the Father, and of Christ:

In whom are hid all the treasures of [i]wisdom and knowledge.

[j]And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with [k]enticing words:

(A)For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, rejoicing and beholding your [l]order, and your [m]steadfast faith in Christ.

As ye have therefore [n]received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him.

Rooted and built in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving:
